By that, I meant that--here, context. Ruby's at the base talking with David on a cell. Ruby and Nova share a mind, but not their body. Because of this, Ruby can allow Nova to speak through Ruby's body. So, Nova is currently speaking with the Nobles in her own body at Lizbeth's castle, and also speaking through Ruby's mouth with David at the base.
I'm confused...This isn't making any sense.

You said she can be heard through Ruby's mouth. So she could hear her through that as well as many things outside of the castle. If they couldn't then that wouldn't make sense.
