Corruption is hard to push back against because it just speeds up for every person it captures.

Good point. Due to my knowledge and experience with this Amaranthine I can only spitball ideas or bring up questions.

Guys. There's only so much of my life force I can give out, which is the only confirmed weakness of theirs, and as far as I know theyre isnt anything that can stop their corruption other than that, or cutting off the limbs that they infected.

I was going to mention the dangers of that, you don’t have a lot of soul to share.
<Snipped quote by Extra>

Something that resists their corruption?

Yes, that would be useful. It would be difficult to keep fighting when one of us gets corrupted.
<Snipped quote by Extra>

Anything else you wanted to bring up?

Maybe defenses against the hive? Having weapons would be nice no matter what, but some sort of armor that mitigates the damage caused by these creatures would be nice.

While thats an option, would a better one be to find a away to keep the majority of the amaranthine creatures at bay far away from the main battle? So that we can focus on the strong ones? Though the belt would keep the mass off us in theory, It would be wasted on the strong ones. I suggest secluding the mass away fro mthe main battle.

We can, but I would like to point out that any damage to the hive, no matter how strong an individual is, is no waste. Having a mindset of waste of damage or efficiency to something that may not kill it in one hit, but still do damage will limit your options. Not turning down your idea as that is something I find to be useful, I just want to give some advice.

Yeah, we should make it as effective as we can during the planning phase.

Couldn’t agree more.

The energy barrier idea?

The cloud isea that you had, I was more of seeing if it can go further.
<Snipped quote by Extra>

Whose idea it was doesn’t matter nearly as much as making sure it works. We need to win this.

It does as we would have been in trouble if it wasn’t questioned, but I digress. If what Shinji mentioned was true with this Techi person’s implementation of it, theoretically it should work at least in the level they had it. Which in itself is a great start, from what I can gather.

I can tell you whatever you want to hear.

<Snipped quote by Extra>

Great, we have a compromise!

*smiles*
I’m glad that your idea can be implemented.

... hmmm... I like the idea of the cloud thing, but what if we make it like a smoke grenade launcher type situation? Create a cloud tha causes continous damage to them?

The cloud idea was Abby’s. I merely suggested an alternative crowd control strategy. I believe an energy like pulse wave that can be activated by a small easy trigger would be a good idea. Maybe one that is on your persons like a belt or a device you attach to your clothing. It could also create a cloud bubble around the user as well.

....

*thinks about it, looking at the sword*

.... what about doing both? Maybe I could craft a countermeasure to keep supressing attacks on the majority while we pick off the strong ones?

There we go, I feel more confident with that statement.

There we go, there’s an idea.
