Current You'd think after like 15 years I'd stop feeling like a fraud when writing posts but I still do which is both a statement on my self confidence and a compliment to how good my partners are as writers

Also, I saw Cloud Atlas yesterday. It was really deep, but when I saw the Fabricant's part I was like "OMG THATS WHERE ITS FROM!!"I honestly think they should have done the entire film based off that story arch, but I digress. Anyways, get a-postin! You're the only one who hasn't gotten a reply up.

Well I was gonna work on a post tonight but now I have to watch Cloud Atlas again.

(No but for real, post tomorrow)

Where'd our princess go? TT-TT

Deep into a K-Hole.
I saw the post in the interest check thread about needing characters so hopefully this is acceptable.

Name: Isabeau

Age: 20

Sex: Female

Hair Color: Blonde

Eye color: Purple

Appearance: Standing at a rather average height of 5'6" and is always wearing clothing that is purple in nature, dark purple preferably. Her fashion sense, mainly the preference to reveal a leg or two while still being relatively modest, comes from her mother. Her hair is of medium length, stopping at her shoulders. She wears a jewel that has the family crest on it; the jewel is worn as an accessory attached to her clothing.

Notable Parents: Leblanc

Weapon: A black rod with a purple gem attached to the top. The rod can extend into a whip which, while potentially used for offense, has mainly been used for traversal. She mostly uses magic learned from her mother.

Any Armor: Armor is a bit too bulky and restrictive and Isabeau prefers wearing more airy clothing.

Biography: Born in Guadosalam, specifically in the newly renovated Chateau Leblanc, Isabeau coasted through childhood living off the minor fame and notoriety her mother had earned in years past. Isabeau would often go exploring in the Thunder Plains or spend evenings watching the shoopuffs at the Moonflow. Life in Guadosalam was horribly uneventful with the Guado chased out and the Leblanc Syndicate no longer being active in the sphere hunting business, though some enjoyment was found in learning Al Bhed from a few of the lingering members of the former organization.

Often Isabeau would listen, most of the time only half listening, to her mother talk about the past, the rivalry with Yuna and how Yuna wasn't the real savior. It sounded believable as a child, but as Isabeau grew older and started looking into the past for herself the believably factor shot downward. Talking with travelers journeying on the Moonflow or stopping in Guadosalam, Isabeau slowly began hearing more accurate stories about the history of the Eternal Calm and those responsible for it. It fascinated her, partly because she was from someone who - partially - helped maintain it, but mostly because the journey undertaken by Yuna was exciting to her young mind.

Isabeau begged her mother to teach her the basics of magic so that she would be safe traveling beyond the Thunder Plains. Reluctant at first, Leblanc did relent after Isabeau lied by saying she only wanted to learn magic to go take a trip to Bevelle and that she would try and get a photo or an autograph of Nooj. Unfortunately, Isabeau's plan to strike out on her own backfired when Leblanc insisted on coming to Bevelle as well. Mother and daughter made the journey to Bevelle where Isabeau snuck off to look at the temple but was underwhelmed at the fact that it was simply another tourist destination, a museum to the past.

Isabeau returned to Guadosalam disappointed but not disheartened and possessed of a desire to explore more of the world since it was better than staying and listening to her mother lament days gone by. Armed only with magic and a left behind rod weapon from an Al Bhed who was once part of the Syndicate, Isabeau left Guadosalam and boarded a boat bound for Besaid. It seemed the best starting point for an exploration journey and with any luck she could talk to the source of her mother's envy and rivalry.

And so Besaid would be the first stop on the journey.

Personality: Though not as well traveled as many in Spira are, Isabeau has a healthy curiosity about the world that makes her come off as either sheltered or stupid, depending on who you ask. She knows all the well known facts, of course, but her skewed perspective of events often has her spouting off incorrect information as fact. Isabeau didn't fall far from the tree when it came to attitude. Though not outright antagonistic towards others, a life of relative luxury has rubbed off, making her a bit demanding and impatient. She's used to asking for something, batting an eyelash, and getting it, and finding out that such tactics don't tend to work as well as she thought has had the unfortunate consequence of Isabeau having a shorter temper than most. The most exposure she had to friends were the people that hung around the Chateau, and while not opposed to making friends, the concept is fairly foreign to her. She is rather opinionated and will not hesitate to speak her mind on issues, even if they are unrelated to the situation at hand.

Are you arriving in Besaid or Living there? Arriving.
Gotcha. I'll check out the thread and see about getting a summoner made.
I'm curious, as I am a fan of FFX. What is the gender split and is there no problem with jumping in the middle of the story you have going? I'd be willing to play a summoner.

Wooo! Thats something to look forwards to. Anyways. Once again does anyone wanna start on Felicity's friend list? It'd make brining the characters together easier if desired.

Sure, Aralynde could start on Felicity's friend list. Maybe they grouped up once and Felicity's stated increased receptivity to bard buffs made Aralynde's role slightly easier. Which works out for Aralynde, being a bard and all. An unreliable one, but still a bard.
I am definitely curious.
Posted and such and stuff
The girl was nothing if not confident, it takes some manner of cocksureness to recover from a trip and still manage to come across as Little Miss Badass. I find it telling that she is so adamant about being able to handle herself. My grandma is a fan of cinema and in watching some with her, there's a trend where the loner main character inevitably learns to rely on others. Movies are grandma's forte, mine is literature. Sighing after Alena's pun fully works its way through my brain, I give a small nod of understanding to Sarah. I may not necessarily agree with the growing sentiment and potential use of Hana, but it's in my nature to be the negative one. I blame the part of me that over thinks and over analyzes things. Every idea is a bad idea except for the one that works.

"You know," I say, grabbing my backpack and attaching it - yes, I'm a two-strapper, cliche I know - and I approach the exit into the school building where Hana is currently leaning, "I once said that I'd never get anything less than an A, but then I took a class in Impressionist art and got a B." I contemplate tapping Hana on the shoulder but decide against it. I don't have her confidence to directly touch a stranger. However, I do look in her general direction, not making eye contact per se, but not looking away. "Point is, I doubt your conviction will hold up when attacked from all sides."

I turn and look towards the other Cliqueless members and I remember Hana's earlier words about going it alone, going it solo like Mario Van Peebles. Wait. Bad analogy. Solo was an android. Thanks, grandma.

"Look, I'm not going to stand here and try to win you over because honestly I know I'd be wasting precious breath. If you want to go off and be on your own, that's your deal. But how are you on your metaphysical allusions?" I don't even have to turn and look at the others to know at least one of them is probably scratching their heads. "'No man is an island entire of itself. Every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main.'" I knew those Friday nights reading classical poetry would pay off one day, and not just on tests and essays.

"Just think about that for a while, it'll sink in. But until it does, I admit to being slightly curious as to what you have planned, so I guess I'll take a look."

Short of punching out every single clique down in the gallery below, I doubt Hana's statement can live up to the hype. Call me a lover of schadenfreude, but I want to watch this go up in flames. It'll be like the Hindenburg, only without all of the casualties.

I've been hanging around Jake too long. I'm getting morbid.
