Current You'd think after like 15 years I'd stop feeling like a fraud when writing posts but I still do which is both a statement on my self confidence and a compliment to how good my partners are as writers

I was under the impression that Hikari wasn't actually accepted until I finished her sheet.

Hikari is welcome to join and I've already added her to the roster and such, so as soon as the sheet is finished you're more than welcome to post.
I might be allowing a new member since one of our accepted students has gone silent. (Lost Cause)

Also, would anyone be opposed to me signaling for people to get ready for class or do people need more time with their roomies?

I try not to overthink personality. XD

I tend to favor personality more than backstory, as I feel it's often more appropriate for backstory to be revealed over time rather than right upfront.

(She says, having put a backstory for her character already.)
I'm revamping Reiko's personality a bit to make her more collected and calm leading to her being indirectly rude, rather than having her just be a shy quiet type. I think that works better for the type of character I'm going for.

This has been your useless trivia for the day.
This wasn't good. Reiko was getting flustered again. She didn't exactly have a problem with being addressed as Reiko-chan, but she barely knew anything other than Kuriyama's name and she was already wanting to use closer ways of referring to her. Not even her senpai from the drama club last school year called her Reiko-chan, as much as she wanted her to do so. Apart from looking like a dog while sleeping, it appeared as if Kuriyama maintained a rather relaxed, casual attitude. It was better than the alternative, though Reiko preferred being rather calm and deliberate in her manner of speech.

"Noodles are okay, I guess," Reiko lied, "i was just...deciding what to have for lunch today, that's all." It wasn't like she was ashamed of her love of noodles - and of cooking, well, that was partially untrue. Reiko enjoyed cooking, but the problem was the end result of her efforts. "More important...I would prefer not to addressed as such. We're roommates, Kuriyama-san, we're not close friends."

It came off as harsh, and Reiko doubted to semi-apologetic smile leveled towards Kuriyama would be enough to tide the girl over.

I am now trying to decide on how Himawari sounds exactly. I mean I kind of have an idea but it's easier to describe voices in terms of how other people sound them just directly describing them. ^^;

I picture Reiko sounding like Romi Park. Specifically as her Nana and Shimizu Taiga role and not, like, her Ed Elric and Hitsugaya role.

There. I imagine Reiko soundng like Romi Park as Naoto from Persona 4. Also, crazy spoilers for Persona 4 in that video so, you know, warned.

Lol. This would be epic. I was also thinking We could have like cute filler type moments sometimes like say a ghost haunting the school but it turns out to be something else just for example. And Yes Tohru is serenading Mira. Are our chars supposed to go to class?

Filler stuff can and will happen. I mean, we gotta have the Test of Courage at some point. It's a staple!

I don't think anyone made the bell ring yet hehe

I was gonna have it ring once room mate introductions die down. Then we can post about class and then jump to lunch time.
I have a friend who speaks Japanese. I opted to learn Korean instead.
As Reiko was shelving her books, she couldn't help but crack open one of the recipe books. If there was anything she enjoyed more than the fine arts, it was cooking. Inherited from her father, most likely, she could listen to him go on and on about the right temperature to boil the noodles at for hours; well, not literally, but he had a way of making otherwise mundane information sound as enthralling as the works of Kobo Abe. With her roommate apparently taking a catnap, Reiko took the opportunity to flip through the book, smiling at the perfectly prepared dishes on display. She became so enraptured in the book, that she didn't notice the slight drool forming at the corner of her mouth.

At least until the greeting from her now-awoken roommate snapped her back to reality. She turned in her chair, taken aback. Awkwardly, she wiped the drool from her mouth with the back of her hand. Closing the book quickly, Reiko stood and gave a short, messy bow that was far more awkward than graceful or polite. By the time her head was back up and facing Kuriyama, her calm, collected, mature nature was restored.

"Ah, Kuriyama-san, nice to met you. I would've woken you, but your face looked cute and I couldn't bring myself to do it. Kind of like a dog." It took her a few seconds after that sentence to realize exactly what she said, and when she did, it was followed by immediate blushing and more sincere bows of apology. "I didn't mean to say you're a dog or anything, I just..." Reiko cleared her throat and walked towards the occupied bed, extending her hand. "Reiko Ishida. Let's get along this year."

Reiko was forcing a smile, hoping that would be enough to smooth over the rocky introduction.
Reiko was just wasting time at this point. Other students were probably exchanging greetings, getting to know their roommate and contributing to the sounds of excitement heard all around the area. Reiko wanted no part in the revelry, these feelings of joy and friendliness wouldn't last a week, of that she was certain. A week was just long enough for the initial feelings of friendship to devolve into annoyance, jealousy, mistrust, and eventual hatred. It's why making friends with her roommate was not going to be a top priority. The less spoken to each other, the less chance of future betrayal and humiliation. Still, she should at least go to her room, claim her bed, and get settled. Class was going to start before she knew it.

With a heavy sigh, Reiko stood from the bench and proceeded inside the dorms proper. The common room on the ground floor was buzzing with students, couches all occupied and chairs askew. She didn't envy the janitorial staff. Keeping her head low and her steps careful, Reiko made her way around the groups and crowds, taking the stairs up to the floor containing her room. 306. It was close to the stairs, which was good for making quick exits. Or escapes. She stood outside the door, debating whether to knock and announce her presence on the off-chance her roommate was already inside.

No knocking occurred as Reiko let herself into her room. Her roommate, Kuriyama-san, had already claimed a bed, leaving Reiko to take the one by the window. The view wasn't great, their room overlooked the school grounds pathways and not the nature side of things, but it was something. If Kuriyama made any immediate indication marking Reiko's arrival, it wasn't picked up by Reiko. She remained quiet as she placed her bags down and sat on her bed, Reiko took a glance at Kuriyama, noticing first her hair. Already they didn't have something in common. This was off to a good start.

Reiko sighed again, standing from her bed. She claimed the shelf and desk next to her bed as her own, sitting at the desk, she began to set up her books, placing famous works of drama right next to her book on the perfect way to prepare noodles.
I go away for a few hours and I miss breast sizes and metal music.

You guys are the best.

(Reiko is a small B)

But I'm going sleeps now.
