Nicolas here is actually like my first male character on this site and maybe even in RP in general. I dunno. I guess my whole belief is that I don't really care what gender someone behind the character is. If a guy wants to RP as a female, that's his right and I see no problem with that. I've met people that think it's crazy that guys will RP as girls and it's just...just write a good character. That's all I really ever want in an RP partner or group. A bunch of interesting and good characters that I can interact with and have fun writing with.

I've been a romance fan for a while but it's only recently that I took my love of romantic things to the realm of anime. My fandoms were all in the Asian drama market. Like it got to the point where I was neglecting my social life because I just had to see if Na Jin Jin and Lee Kang Suk would transcend the wage and family barriers and let their love blossom or if the slimy half-brother Lee Ji Suk would come in and ruin everything. And then before I knew it that was fifty hours total and several boxes of tissues later.

Just give me like a real slow burn of a romance and I'm done. Like so done. And even more done if it's something like Love My Life, Blue, In My End Is My Beginning, or Love Inbetween.

I'm a fan of yuri because I am a fan of cute people doing cute things and also because I can relate so hard to some of the stories contained in them. I've never really gotten into yaoi mainly because it's not what I'm attracted to but I honestly don't see the issue of males liking yuri. I like to think that not every guy who likes yuri material is going "OMG I LOVE HOT ANIME LESBIANS!" all weird like and that they can appreciate that there's often a bit of a charming little love story to go along with it.

I ran a group yuri RP like...two years ago and it was fun and had men and women RPers involved. Like what you like, friend. I like yuri not because I live that girls love life everyday but because stuff like Aoi Hana still makes me cry just thinking about it.

I still feel like the odd one out because compared to the other three's backstory having 'his mother was an actual prostitute and has HIV' is like a 4 on the 10 point scale of past scars.

But I guess someone has to be the 'positive' one.

Hmm, actually your remark about the blink thing might actually work better with the character I've got in mind for this. In that I can make it work into their personality quite easily.

As far as the ability was concerned I was thinking of something along the lines of 'Smoldering Eyes'. In the sense that a long enough gaze would not set someone ablaze but rather increase body temperature that, if used long enough, could cause heat related symptoms. Like heatstroke. I was also considering 'Piercing Gaze' which would cause stinging pain but I couldn't figure out a way to make that seem, like...workable.

But I'm still considering things, those were just the initial ideas.
