Final Fantasy 13 has more in common with 10 than 7. Which is fitting because a lot of the team from 10 worked on 13.

Because I disasgree with you about Final Fantasy going downhll after 7, especially since 9 is one of the best ones! And also because I wouldn't say the Tales Of series have good stories.

I will admit overall playing the game, to me it felt campy and I just couldn't take the story seriously like I could with say Tales of Symphonia or Lost Odyssey. Then again, I sometimes consider myself a "GAMES ARE ART" person, so I'm always looking for good story material in a game, which is why I usually flock to Silent Hill, the Tales Of series, Eternal Darkness, and all that. Final Fantasy was good to me up till seven, and then...everything else was the sound of Square-Enix slowly cocking back the hammer on their own revolver. <_<

Abuse the hell out of Chronostasis. It's your best friend. Don't even worry about money, you get plenty just from doing the main quests. Exploring isn't really a thing, the areas aren't that big except for The Wildlands.

I ended up not liking the game because the quest design was stupid and made no sense with the time constraints, but holy shit did that ending make me laugh uncontrollably for how silly and dumb it was.
