Current You'd think after like 15 years I'd stop feeling like a fraud when writing posts but I still do which is both a statement on my self confidence and a compliment to how good my partners are as writers

Unlike Elsa, Anna didn't blush when her appearance was complimented. Instead, Anna smiled bright and wide, and twirled around, the red dress flowing in her spinning wake. She was showing off the outfit, showing off how much she had grown since last the two of them had spoken, and she was delighted to do so. She stopped twirling and continued to smile towards Elsa; Anna was enjoying herself - moreso than she had in the past few years, and it was all just because they were on speaking terms again. How she missed this, this feeling of happiness and excitement.

Not even Elsa taking away Anna's drink could take away Anna's smile, though she did make a pouty face. "Oh come on, Elsa, I'm old enough! I can handle it! It's just champagne, it's not like it's real alcohol." Anna made a few playful grabs for the glass, but gave up. Elsa wasn't going to be watching her all night, right? She'd just take another glass then. Anna didn't know what the big deal was, it was just champagne and it's not like she was going for a drive later - what was the harm in one drink? Typical Elsa, always the worrier.

After her playful pouting, Anna snapped her fingers and her smile returned. "Oh, I almost forgot, I bought a present for you, since it's your birthday and all. I can't wait to show it to you, you're gonna love it!" At this, Anna took one of Elsa's hands and began shaking it up and down in excitement. The gift was already wrapped, and all she had to do was ask one of the staff to bring it down. It was a bit pricey, but Anna hoped that Elsa would love it anyway. "Do you want to see it?" She asked, as giddy as she was as a child.

...And because the quoting takes away the italicized text we are left with "Why would a school have a uniform in the first place?" It is the silly little things that amuse me most.

Nadeshiko is behind this, isn't she. She got elected Student Council President on a platform of "NO MORE UNIFORMS"

Only it was after the fact that she revealed that her No Uniforms policy just meant that all students were required to wear bras and panties to class only or something. >.>

To be honest, it kind of wouldn't make sense anyways. Why would a school have a uniform in the first place? XD

There's that too.

So I compromised and had Reiko wear boy shorts to gym because she is such a rebel~

Erra hasn't posted as Princess Charming, yet.Oh, yeah Fabricant I was going to ask but kept forgetting. Are the female students all wearing the same uniform, or do some of them wear boys uniforms too? *drools*

All of them are wearing the same uniform, though some make modifications, like Reiko wearing long leggings.

I was going to have Reiko wear a boy's uniform but didn't go with it because I thought that might be one of those 'why does Reiko get to be different' things that could cause conflict.

I worry a lot.
This was not how she pictured her night going, not in the slightest. Sarah was leaning against the brick side of the local hospital, lit cigarette dangling from her mouth, her sharp, dark blue eyes shooting daggers at anyone who happened to so much as look at her the wrong way, judging her silently as if she was in the wrong. She knew the rules, she knew where she could and couldn't smoke. If it wasn't for the fact that she was currently standing, right foot pressed against the hospital building, she wouldn't even be smoking something as simple as a cigarette.

Earlier, Sarah had been walking, hands thrust into the pockets of her jeans, towards her house. She needed a fix and badly, having run out after a few too many nights of getting over-eager and taking more to increase her high. With money pickpocketed from strangers - and 'friends' - she had purchased enough to last a week and was almost to her crappy apartment with her crappier roommates who were just as eager to smoke up as she was. She had had a few drinks before leaving, though not drunk, just slightly buzzed. If she was driving it was very possible she'd get pulled over, and then arrested for being under the legal drinking age by two years. Which is why she walked.

That night, she never did make it to her home.

Rounding a corner, she noticed a car speeding down the street coming towards her direction. The car was swerving, making Sarah question if the sidewalk was going to be safe. The car zoomed past her but was going far too fast to make the turn, instead going off road, turning over, and slamming into a tree, the sounds of grinding metal and breaking glass filling the air.

"Drunken idiots," Sarah said, shaking her head, no pity offered, no concern for their well-being. Still, she had a morbid curiosity. How often did one get to see a wreck like that up close, and her responsibility was to call the police ,right? Well, that wasn't going to happen, not with her carrying a bag or two of illegal substances. It was her curiosity that caused Sarah to approach the wreck, hesitating a bit as it caught on fire. Good sense told her to run, to get the hell out of there and let someone who actually cared handle this.

But then she looked into the backseat.

Sarah closed the distance between her and the car with a jog, bashing against the car window. There was a person back there, alive - hopefully, but trapped. The glass shattered, cutting Sarah's hand slightly, but it was nothing, manageable. She crawled into the burning wreckage, her body halfway inside, coughing. Unbuckling the seatbelt, she took the survivor into her hands and yanked, pulling him out. He looked in a bad way, blood, an ashy face, he was either unconscious or dead, and Sarah really hoped it was the former.

She carried the male in her arms, moving swiftly, nearly losing her balance as the car exploded just as she managed to return to the sidewalk. The explosion drew pedestrians, one of whom called 911. Sarah, avoiding questioning by the police, opted to ride in the back of the ambulance, despite their protests. "Shut up, I saved him, I'm riding with him, do your goddamn jobs, alright?" was her response to their complaints.

Arriving at the hospital, the paramedics rushed the survivor off to intensive care, leaving Sarah to wait in the waiting room. She didn't wait around long, choosing to wait outside, to smoke. She called one of her roommates to come pick up the drugs she was carrying, which he did, and Sarah declined a ride back.

Putting out her cigarette, Sarah sighed, and stepped off the wall. She reached into the pocket of he jacket and pulled out the other thing she managed to save, due to it being in the possession of the one she rescued. It was a teddy bear, and looking at it caused a slight pang of regret in Sarah. She needed to give it to him, he would probably want it, it would make him comfortable. That is, if he was anything like the Charlie she once knew.

That night, instead of going home, Sarah saved the life of someone she hadn't seen in years, not since getting kicked out by her parents. That night, Sarah had saved the life of her younger brother, Charlie. Rubbing her forehead with her fingers, Sarah let out a sigh and re-entered the hospital. She wanted to be there when he woke up. And she had to give him back his teddy bear.
The IC will be up shortly.

I have a theory about Precure seasons. My theory is that most of the yuri subtext gets sucked up into a few episodes. It happened in DokiDoki.Though, the subtext in Futari wa is pretty consistent, what with all the holding hands.

Sometimes a hand hold is just a hand hold, my friend!
Anna let out a small chuckle as Elsa was bombarded with questions and photographs as soon as she stepped down the stairs and into the party proper. But she could understand why. Elsa hadn't been seen outside of her room in years, not by Anna or anyone, so to get a glimpse of her now was noteworthy, and not just because she was going to fully take over the company. Anna turned away from Elsa's impromptu press meeting, grabbed a glass of whatever beverage was being carried around on the trays, and locked eyes with a party goer across the hall.

He was so cute, with perfectly maintained brown hair, just tall enough to not make Anna, who was about medium height herself, feel small. He was wearing a white suit, which made him stand out amidst all the people in black or grey. His eyes, the same muddy color as his hair, seemed to sparkle in the light, and then he smiled at Anna, and what a smile it was. Anna batted her eyes, going slightly blush, returning his smile with a coy one of her own, the two of them engaging in mild flirting with just their eyes.

Anna's gaze was snapped away from the handsome stranger, though she would definitely not let this party end without meeting him. Her attention was back onto Elsa, who was approaching her, having caught a lucky break thanks to Mr. Marks and made her little speech. Anna nervously took a sip from her drink as Elsa came closer. What could she say? They hadn't spoken in years, and suddenly Anna's mind was drawing a blank. They had so much to catch up on but so little time to do so, and Anna couldn't think straight as she just stared towards her sister. Fortunately, it was Elsa who spoke first.

"Elsa, hi!" Anna responded, a bit more vibrant and cheerful than the rather timid introduction by Elsa, "Happy birthday! And wow, you look...you look great, honestly." Anna smiled towards Elsa, a genuine smile. It was all she could do to prevent the topic of conversation from turning into the sad truth that they hadn't seen each other in years.
