Current You'd think after like 15 years I'd stop feeling like a fraud when writing posts but I still do which is both a statement on my self confidence and a compliment to how good my partners are as writers

Welcome to being a Nana fan. We've been waiting since the author got back from hospital. In 2010. ;.;
She totally did. She's a villain. Villain's care little for the lives of innocents!

As well as the "Not going to help the people about to get mugged by some random darkness hobo in armor Games".

There are more important things afoot.

Boob related things.
The girl was nothing if not resourceful as the punch didn't make contact with the hero as intended, instead hitting air. But both of them knew it wasn't air that she had hit, air didn't cause a punch to come to a deadstop, after all. Cowardly tactics. Afraid to dirty that face with a bit of blood. Hiding behind the invisible like the coward she truly was. The Countess merely scoffed. If the supposed hero was just going to take the cowardly way out rather than take a punch, rather than engage in a fair fight, so be it. If the hero was willing to play unfairly, so, too, would the villain. And the best part of being the villain was that her code of ethics was radically different.

The Countess was rocked back, the suit taking the brunt of the damage from the fist, but though shaken, she remained standing, with slightly wobbly knees. "It's almost cute how you think you've won." Behind the mask, The Countess was grinning. Devilishly. The engine on the back of her suit began to spin, its color blue once again. Before another invisible attack was sent her way, The Countess thrust her arm upwards, towards the overhead news chopper. She was pulled off the ground and sent slingshot up towards the chopper, yanking off the door with a pull of her hand. The door tumbled down to the ground, the glass shattering as it hit. The Countess stood in the chopper, dangling an innocent cameraman.

"What's it gonna be, hero?" The Countess spoke, though it was doubtful she was speaking to anyone other than herself and the terrified innocents aboard the chopper. "Save the citizens or stop the villain." With a laugh, she tossed the cameraman from the chopper, and then turned and kicked another citizen out as well. The pilot was next, he was grabbed by the neck, though he struggled, he, too, was tossed casually out the side. Three bodies falling towards the ground. The Countess sat in the pilot's seat of the chopper and gave a final and rude gesture to the hero. She wasn't going to stick around to see what the 'hero' would do.

Not when it was the perfect time to mount an escape.
Name: Rayne 'Songbird' Teague (That's Rayne pronounced Ray-Knee)

Appearance: An average height of 5'5" with a lean figure that certainly does the uniform proud, at least to the drunk sleazebags at the clubs on the Citadel. Rayne, despite looking like a twig with a trace amount of meat, adheres to physical standards, fudged slightly due to how rare she is in ground combat situations. What muscles are there are evident in her arms, showing taut musculature focused around the biceps. Her hair, cornsilk blonde in color, is cut short, in the common human vernacular she sports a pixy cut. Ostensibly it's to keep hair from her eyes, but in truth she just got tired of ponytails and longer hair. Her eyes are a steel blue and the most common expression on her lips is pursed. A hat is always placed atop her head when in the pilot's seat. It used to be an Alliance standard hat complete with emblem, before she was flying for a non-military specific organization. Her skin is tanned but still clearly pale otherwise. Though hidden by the uniform pants, there's a tattoo of a nightingale on her right thigh.

Race: Human

Age: 28

Biotic ability: None whatsoever

Biography: Rayne (pronounced as 'Rain' by her parents because her parents didn't know that no one names their children after weather, hence 'Ray-Knee') was an Earthborn, born in Cardiff though she didn't stay grounded for long. Her mother was in the Alliance Navy, serving aboard a frigate as a medical specialist. Her father had served before an injury left him without his right leg. He chose not to get it replaced, considering it a sign of a job well done. Plus the retirement benefits didn't hurt. He was stationed at an Alliance facility in the United Kingdom, as a comm specialist. It was her mother that drew Rayne to the world of ships. As a child she would often watch Alliance ships fly overhead or dock at the nearby facility. If she was feeling particularly bold, she would even attempt to enter the facility to watch the docking up close. Her mother caved and took Rayne onboard provided she stay confined to the crew deck.

Her love of ships and ship design drove her to enlist in flight school for the Alliance. She had scraped by on the physical portion of the enlistment, only her slightly above average ability with a pistol carried her through. That and a recommendation from her parents. Which was probably the worst kept secret in flight school. Her fellow potential pilots often mocked her for being a daddy's girl or equally as idiotic names. Yes, her parents helped her get accepted into the pilot's program, but that was the extent of their aid. Everything that happened in training was Rayne on her own.

Though not the top of her class, Rayne showed incredible potential and extensive knowledge of the workings of most class of ship within the Alliance Navy. She graduated and was assigned to the bridge crew of an Alliance vessel. It wasn't the position she wanted, that being helmsman, but she was still happy to have been chosen at all. Sitting on the bridge, Rayne got a first-hand look at the galaxy from the best seat around, both the good and the bad aspects. The worst of it happened a few years into her service. The Battle of the Citadel? She was aboard one of the ships involved in taking down Sovereign and the geth. She was terrified at what she saw. So terrified that it had a negative impact on her ability to perform the job. Fortunately, she wasn't at the helm, or else another Alliance ship would have been destroyed in that battle.

In the years following the Battle, Rayne was both promoted and demoted in one fell swoop. She was promoted to helmsman, but demoted to piloting an Alliance shuttle. It wasn't the helm of a frigate, but at least she had full control. What started as a job transporting admirals and other important figures became something much more important. Rayne began flying evacuation missions, flying a shuttle into combat areas to evacuate small squads, often Alliance black ops troops whose mission went sideways. It was in these assignments that her nickname was earned. To combat the fear she felt flying into hot landing zones, Rayne sang. Old human songs mostly, but they brought her comfort, and brought comfort to the soldiers who were picked up by her.

It was her record of flying under hostile skies that drew the attention of the Unity backers. That she was selected over more experienced pilots is a testament to her potential. Or in the Consortium's faith in her.

Personality: Rayne is confident, though incredibly nervous all at the same time. She knows she's got the knowledge and the ability, but she's constantly doubting herself and in danger of cracking under self imposed pressure. Though she runs the bridge with the appropriate level of authority to ensure her flight crew is doing what they should be doing even before it needs to be done, she considers every member in the bridge her family, because it's on their shoulders to make sure the soldiers on board get to and from their missions safely. To that end, though she'll converse with other members of any given ship she's aboard, she'll never go out of her way to befriend or interact with them. If she could, she'd take her meals on the bridge and sleep there as well. Her cold shoulder to anyone not in the bridge with her has had the unfortunate side effect of making her seem like an anti-social hardass to others. Which, while not true, serves her purposes well. That means less interruptions mid-flight.

Position: Pilot. Helmsman. Whichever sounds better. As far as Rayne's qualifications, most of them are outlined in her service record (the biography), but apart from flying in the Battle of the Citadel, Rayne has proven herself an able pilot under extreme situations. She has not once failed to complete an evacuation mission, though it is important to note that completion doesn't always mean a full evacuation.

Other: - Rayne treats her nickname as a badge of honor. As such, people she trusts also get appropriate bird themed nicknames. This is typically isolated to members of the flight crew, since she has to trust them or else things go badly.

-Though from Cardiff, her accent is not strong. It's noticeable, but she's understandable in her speech, even if it comes out quickly.

-Despite flying in high danger missions, Rayne is still terrified of flying around Reapers, having seen first hand what one is capable of. Her fears haven't yet caused her to lose focus, but on the same hand she hasn't exactly had to fly many missions involving Reapers. Well, she hadn't.

Code: The emotion known as fear.

Ayame didn't get the chance to respond to Foress, or much of anything that happened as too much was going on at once for her to keep up. There was the cat lady, all of the fairies, exchanging fairy info, Alex telling the cat lady off, Space Kitaaa...? "AAAHHHH!" Ayame was one of many girls in the exhibit to scream when the lights went out. She rushed forward, hoping to latch onto someone and quick before something got her. Once she found her victim, her hands came to cup two large and very soft, jelly-like...things in her hands as her arms wrapped around someone's body. Not meaning to, Ayame gave them several squeezes...The last squeeze came after she recognized what exactly she was holding onto. Possibly unfortunately for June, she couldn't let go. Holding this person made her feel a lot safer; even if there were a bunch of other students around.

Several things happened before the power went out, and for pretty much all of them, June's reaction was nonplussed. The only thought she had, other than that of incredible annoyance at how laid back and overly energetic everyone was. Especially when they shouted. There was a time and a place for raising one's voice. This was neither. June sighed as she was roped into a larger group simply by association. The whole concept of grouping seemed incredibly silly. They were all old enough, right? They could be trusted to wander around on their own. What trouble could they possibly get into in a planetarium. of all places? Planetariums were notoriously boring. At worst they could scuff up the glass of an exhibit. How tragic.

Soli, June's fairy, started to hover around June's head, having moved upward from the shoulder she was previously resting on. Soli had actually managed to break out of her normal mirroring of June's behavior and was fluttering about, incredibly curious about the other fairy; there was something that seemed to draw her towards her, despite having never seen her before. Not even in passing. Perhaps it was nothing, and the hovering above June's head ceased and she casually dropped and came to a rest in June's soft hair. And that's when the power went out.

June didn't panic, though she did let out a sigh and a scoff soon after. How perfect. It didn't help that someone screamed. Really? Someone was afraid of the dark? Really? Before June could speak up to offer what was sure to be a pearl of absolute wisdom, she looked down. There was a set of hands currently attached to her breasts. And the hands were squeezing. There were few things that made June blush, she had pretty thick skin. Her breasts were one of the things that made her blush. Some seemed to like that her breasts were fairly big, not in the heaving sense, but they were a modest size, and judging by the fans of Sugar - the only problem was that they weren't bigger. June, on the other hand, didn't like the size of her breasts. She wanted them to be smaller, but that's a secret she kept in her head.

Regardless, June was thankful for the power outage because it hid her red cheeks. The fairy zipping around about 'boobies' certainly didn't help matters. June turned around after the hands were removed from her chest. She followed the sounds of the fairy talking about Ayame loving boobies, standing behind Ayame, silently. Or at least she assumed it was Ayame, judging by the fact that the body was turned away, as if in shame.

"An eye for an eye," June spoke softly, leaning forward to whisper it into Ayame's ear. Her own hand then shot forth and reached around in front of Ayame, repeating the gesture she had done to June previously. "Hmph...lucky." June said, removing her hands after giving the breasts a quick squeeze. June's hands went back to her sides. Whether anyone saw, she couldn't care less.

xD hahaha Just know Sophie cried because what Reiko said brought up bad memories, not because of what she actually said or did xD It's sort of like the straw the broke the camels back. It was a small gesture that cracked her flood gates lol

And to think Reiko and Sophie could've had a shared moment based on similar experiences.

Reiko done made a girl cry.

She's just paying it forward.

When Reiko cries, she can only feel better if she makes someone else cry. Pay it forward.
