Current You'd think after like 15 years I'd stop feeling like a fraud when writing posts but I still do which is both a statement on my self confidence and a compliment to how good my partners are as writers

Reiko, after departing from the girl she had accidentally run into, kept her head down and her feet swift, letting said feet carry her over the campus grounds and towards the dorms. The dorms were the only place she could be alone, save of course for her roommate. Though given the way they had interacted over the day, Reiko doubted that her roommate would be on speaking terms tonight. Or the rest of the year, if Reiko was lucky. Her expression was one of of a mixture between scowl and frown, and the way her teeth clenched behind her lips was indicative of how she was choking back tears.

Reiko pushed past students lazily lounging about, socializing, snacking, shirking any potential homework. Some might have paused from their routines to glance towards the swiftly moving short haired second year. Reiko paid them no mind, her eyes just locked on the path her feet were instinctively carrying her. Arriving at the dorms proper, Reiko threw open the doors and quickened her pace until she turned the corner containing the hallway containing her room. She thrust the door open and planted herself, face first, onto her bed.

It was only there, in the comfort and secrecy of her pillow, that Reiko allowed herself to let loose the anger and sadness that she was holding back. Fists slammed into the pillow. Bitemarks were left imprinted on the fabric. Stains from tears were drying on the sheet. She lay there, face buried into her pillow, for several minutes, letting everything about the first day pour out. And when that was done, she stayed in her position for a half an hour before reluctantly slipping off the bed, grabbing a change of clothes, and making towards the showers.

The shower was quick, but the water was warm. Reiko kept her head pointed downwards, water spilling from her hair down to her feet. She turned the water off and toweled herself. When Reiko left the shower area, she was fully dressed in evening wear. Most students tend to simply put on their underwear or return to their rooms in just a towel, but Reiko wasn't taking any more chances.

Returning to her room, she took quick note that Junko was back in the room, clearly in mid thought of her own issues. Reiko offered a very half hearted 'Hello' to her roommate before sliding back into her bed and curling up to sleep.

Tuesday went by in a haze. Reiko attended morning classes, though skipped out on gym, and when classes ended she was back in the dorm room. Tuesday's total word count from Reiko was a grand total of three, and it was two hellos, one to Junko and one to her homeroom teacher, and a goodbye to the teacher as Reiko was leaving the classroom for the day. The way Reiko figured it, by not saying anything to anyone, she'd get through the year without any more incidents.

Wednesday came and Reiko was again silent in her morning classes. When lunch rolled around, Reiko was eating bread in the classroom when the door slid open and Kawase-senpai stood in the doorway.

"Oh, there you are, Ko Ko. Come on, we need your help putting together our fliers for the recruitment drive slash welcome event thing on Saturday and Sunday. Ugh, you're eating school bread? Well hurry up and meet us in the clubroom, alright? Before lunch is over. Tell your pink friend that she came come too if she wants. It was so fun the last time she came."

Kawase giggled and shut the door to the classroom. Reiko stood up wordlessly. Suddenly she didn't feel like eating in the classroom. Perhaps out in the quad. Lunch had just started after all, and it was such a bright day. Less chance of a rainy cloud like Kawase to ruin the meal outside. Though one thing Kawase said got Reiko thinking. The school clubs were going to have fliers or booths set up on Friday after class to begin recruitment on Saturday and Sunday. Sunday evening was the welcome/welcome back ceremony, which was really just an excuse for the staff to keep students from leaving campus until the second weekend rolled around. Reiko wondered what other clubs would be doing, what creative little fliers or booths they would put up.

It would be interesting to see, since Reiko was going to be in need of a new club to join. But for now, it was lunch.
Okay so dorm assignments for the new/returned members

Hikaru gets to room with an NPC unless I missed someone in which case, congrats, there's your roomie.
I was going to advance time in my post, yeah. That way people can finish up their stuff now and also go into the next day.

And by next day that means Wednesday, which will start during lunch and it's where I'll put down tracks for the first school-wide event that'll happen over the weekend.

Lol. Have you seen this? x]

I have.

That video (and that Morning Musume generation in general) was pretty much my favorite era. It also has my favorite member so that's a plus.
Name: Song Moon-sik. Goes by Moon.

Age: 21

Gender: Female

Belongings: - A hyang-bipa, a pear shaped stringed instrument. Bipa

-A daegeum, a bamboo flute with a unique timbre. Daegeum

-A small carrying jug attached to the hip filled with beverages. Frequently soju.

Martial Art Style: She calls it Daenseu. It is the style known as Taekkyeon. Taekkyeon uses the whole body in its techniques and motions, but teaches and focuses on several kick varieties, such as low kicks, knee kicks, jump kicks, and sweeps. The movements of Taekkyon are fluid with the practitioners constantly moving. One of its most striking characteristics is a constant bending and stretching of one's knees, giving the art a dance-like appearance. Taekkyeon uses a lot of high, medium and low kicks. Sweeps with straight forward low kicks using the ball of the foot and the heel and flowing crescent-like high kicks. There are many kicks that move the leg outward from the middle, and inward from the outside using the side of the heels and the side of the feet. The art also uses tricks like inward trips, wall-jumping, fake-outs, tempo, and slide-stepping. The art is also like a dance in which the fighter constantly changes stance from left to right by stepping forward and backwards with arms up and ready to guard, blending arm movements with leg. Taekkyeon

Personality: Moon is soft spoken and often prefers to remain quiet than to speak up or act. She's not timid or shy, she just prefers not to raise her voice above a certain threshold when in conversation or in public. Possessed of a natural elegance from the manner in which she carries herself, Moon gives the air of someone in the nobility despite remaining cryptic about her life prior to Dragon's Peak Temple. What isn't so elegant about Moon is her love of drink, of alcohol in particular. Often she will enjoy more than her fair share of drink when the mood strikes. When she drinks, she retains her soft spoken nature, but speaks more bluntly and with slight more rude phrases. Despite Moon being genuinely friendly towards others, she doesn't consider herself as one with many comrades due to how often she simply, but politely, refuses the company of friends outside of sparring partners. It's apt that her name is Moon; she often seems as if she is constantly gazing towards it with how she communicates with others.

History: Moon was raised primarily by a midwife who was called upon to aid Moon's mother in the birth process due to her father fighting in the war. Moon's mother was inattentive, spending her time endlessly pining for the return of her husband. Moon forgave her. Her mother was a young adult, practically a child herself when she gave birth to Moon. A young girl in love who remained blindly devoted to her husband. Moon's mother worked as a maid for the village inn which frequently housed soldiers on their way to the recent battlefields. Moon's birth village wasn't terribly far from the Imperial City, and it was because of that distance that the midwife thought it best to groom Moon for a potential place within the Imperial City. It would be a better life than cleaning up after brusque soldiers all night.

The midwife instructed Moon on etiquette and music in hopes that the Imperial court would have need of a court musician or at the very least a proper servant with proper manners and posture. This training continued into Moon's early teen years. Moon and the midwife struck out for the Imperial City while Moon's mother slowly slipped into depression over the belief that her husband had died in the war. He hadn't, he had simply bedded up with another young, easily impressed girl in love.

Moon didn't stay long in the Imperial City. There was little need for a musician and Moon wasn't going to seek the employment of any place that required her to use her looks to earn pay. Moon decided simply to pick a spot near the city market and began to play her instrument. This continued until she was forcibly removed by an angry merchant and his angry hired help. The guards turned a blind eye, Moon had technically been performing without permission after all, and Moon was forced to defend herself. She did so by bashing the merchant with her bipa.

Her defense was spotted by a prospective student making the trip to Dragon's Peak Temple who, admittedly, was more interested in Moon for her appearance rather than her potential as a martial artist. Nevertheless, he invited her to tag along and offered to pay for repairing the bipa. Moon was tricked just enough to accompany him, provided that her instrument got repaired first.

Moon arrived at the temple at age sixteen. In her five years since being a student, she has shown no willingness to increase her position or rank within the temple, despite showing an affinity for her chosen style. Moon opts to spend her days plucking away at her bipa or lounging around under trees than to continually spar and rise in ranks. Some newer, more eager students see her as lazy for this, and that perspective lasts just long enough for them to lose in a challenge towards her. Moon is content to just sit under the trees and play her instruments, and until such a time where that isn't allowed, that's all Moon will enjoy doing.
