okay, so I've made up my mind. I'm not gonna feed Alexis to the basilisk, (never seriously planned to do that in the first place, though it was a fun idea to toy with) or even purposely put her anywhere near it... unless I change my mind again later because drama, but I won't intend for her to be put in danger of death.

BUT: because of this, I really wanna do something with her plot before I had originally planned to do so, which means she might be in a bit more danger of death during normal IC stuff until another PC catches on to what's happening. But since i'm starting it early, it'll go slower than I had planned it to. I still need to tell @Rai what this plot actually entails, so all I can say here now is that I intend for Alexis to not be able to deal with it on her own. She's going to need support right up until the end, and spoiler warning: (highlight the 'blank' area to see spoiler) There will be death. Lots of it. Whether Alexis is one of the bodies is up to how good her relationships are with other characters, and if they can figure out what's happening before endgame. What's happening (or is going to happen) is something that will cause ALL of Alexis' fears and regrets to surface at once, and the person pulling the strings will cause that all to kill her in some way. Alexis will never be able to kill this person, they're too strong, they know her too well, and she'd never be able to forgive herself if she harmed them. Alexis wants to save this devil, and they just want to make her suffer as much as possible before they'll let her die. Something is going to happen in this battle to start Alexis' plot along the tracks, and once the train hits full speed she's going to begin falling apart. She'll still be a useful teammate and will help the party until the end, though depending on how things play out she could try to hide what's going on once she knows, or suddenly turn on the group towards the end, or she could spill everything and beg for help or advice on what to try and do.

@Rai I know I may have already told you enough in PM for you to figure some stuff out, like who exactly this threat is, so please don't say anything here. I'll get more explanation up for you in PM as soon as I get over my current writing block for this one pre-IC scene I'm writing for Alexis.

Also, since it's relevant to everyone now, what with battles happening and whatnot: (@Rai please tell me if any of this seems out of line)
(I realize now that I kinda made her ‘latent’ max range for all her mental skills 10 meters. Some reach farther, but they take more focus to do so.)

Bright Light Resistance:
"I don’t ever have to blink the sun out of my eyes, and bright flashes of light don’t faze me. Though personally I think this does have a drawback- I feel like maybe my eyes don’t adjust to darkness as quickly as they could, and even then they don’t adjust as well as the average person’s.”

“As for my proof… well, I know I glow in the dark, but I’ve never actually noticed it. I only know because I’ve been told that I glow -very faintly, but apparently I do. I think my friends were all messing with me when they started telling me that... but, other people have told me too now. I still don’t really believe it though: In total darkness, I can’t even see my hand in front of my face, so how the heck could I be glowing? Unless, my eyes just can’t see this supposedly very dim light?"

Mental Communication:
"I can talk to people through my mind just as easily as speaking out loud, and they can think back to me what they want to say even if they aren’t a Sol. It’s a little strange to experience at first, the voices sound the same as when speaking aloud, but there’s a certain sharpness and clarity to the words -I’m convinced it’s impossible to ‘mishear’ something said to you like this."

"I can communicate with anyone within a certain distance of me (10 meter radius), even through walls and such, but outside that radius I need to be able to directly see the person I’m speaking to and even then there’s a limit (50 meters with a direct line of sight). Clara and I used to test each other all the time to try and expand our limits, but I think this is the best I’ll ever be able to do."

Mind Reading:
"I have to be close to a person to read their thoughts. If i’m too far away I only get images or feelings, or nothing at all. If i’m touching the person, I can delve into their thoughts and memories a little, rather than only seeing what’s on the surface."

"There is a way to keep me from learning anything with this though -just keep your mind focused somewhere useless, maybe even try to be annoying. I liked to repeat the lyrics to songs I know over and over to try and defend myself whenever I was training with Clara." 

(Distances = 3 meters for clear surface thoughts, 10 meters total for image/feeling. Any farther away and it just won’t work.)

Soul Detection and Psychic Detection:
(The total range for these abilities is 10 meters. The Psychic skill has a passive aspect, anyone within one meter of her she can sense unconsciously or without needing to focus on them. (You can sneak up on her, one meter isn’t that much space. ))

"I can sense the Souls of those around me, their presence and strength, and I can sense the presence and "intent" of thoughts. I can tell who a person is in complete darkness by their Soul alone, and by sensing their thoughts I can tell how someone feels, sensing their emotions."

"When I say I can feel the "intent" of a person’s thoughts, I’m referring to the emotions I feel from them. If someone feels anger, I can tell who they’re angry at. Being able to sense hatred towards me in the past has saved my life. The emotion behind a thought can give you away very easily; just by how someone feels when talking to me, I can even tell if they’re lying to me.”

“Each person’s Soul is unique, that’s how I can use them to tell people apart. I can sense the small differences between Souls. I can also tell how powerful someone is by their Soul, how much energy they have and even if they are under the effect of a spell or if they are truly themselves."

Plant Manipulation:
"I can control plants: make them grow or move out of their normal ways in order to accomplish something I want. I can move the boughs of a tree, and tilt the trunk every which way, but I can’t make a plant uproot itself to move somewhere else unless it’s about the same size as me or smaller. Younger, smaller plants (saplings) are easier for me to control than adult plants. I can’t control any plant that I’m very far away from, about 5 meters seems to be the limit."

Plant Energy Absorption:
"This one’s kind of simple: I can get energy from plants by basically taking the energy they got from the sun for myself. I’m a plant Vampire. I can control how much energy I take, so I don’t kill the plants, and I can only absorb energy from plants within two meters of me. I can’t really pick and choose what plants I absorb energy from, it’s just whatever’s closest by.”

“I could probably stay alive without sunlight if there were enough plants around, at least for a little while, but I’d likely get very sick after a bit of that. Real sunlight is best."

Force Field:
"This skill has a few levels. I can make a Forcefield of light energy, and its strength varies depending on how much energy I put into it. The different levels of fields look different because of the amount of energy they have, which also determines their strength. Past level 2 the field actually absorbs any light that touches it, which can make it stronger over time- though I’ve never been able to hold Levels 4 or 5 long enough to see that have any effect at all. I can make the forcefield into a bubble around me or another person, a simple wall, or like a second skin around my body. The easiest form to make is the wall, then it's the second skin, and a bubble is the hardest form to hold because of the extra space within it and the fact that it’s a closed shape.”

Level 0: Invisible.
“I only mention this one for the sake of completeness, though it's useless in pretty much any situation. This is the level that a young Sol can use to practice trying to make a full force field. It's only a gathering of energy and it can barely block a small rock thrown at you.” 

Level 1: Glass.
“The first step up from nothing at all. I call this one the glass field because when I use this one it looks like it’s made out of glass, though it’s a bit stronger than the average window. This field can stop a handful of arrows before breaking, or it could take one direct hit from a sword. This field breaks the second it cracks, and when it breaks it looks like shards of glass falling to the ground and then disappearing. If it doesn’t shatter, I could keep this field up for a whole day.”

Level 2: Liquid Silver.
“This is my go-to field for use in battle. I call it ‘liquid silver’ because of the color it is and the fact that when it’s forming it looks like it’s melting into existence around my body. This field looks like a solid yet thin layer of silver, from the outside you can still see through it a little -this is most noticeable when I use this field as a bubble. This one is a lot stronger than the Glass field, able to take multiple direct hits from a broadsword or warhammer before cracking. This is the first level that can block an element -water can’t pass through the field. This field can crack a few times before it will break down completely, and if I'm given enough time (anywhere from a few seconds to a minute depending on damage) I am able to repair it before it will break. The longest I've been able to hold this field active is about 3 hours. When this field breaks it looks like it's shattering into glitter and then disappearing into the air.”

Level 3: Mirrored Silver.
“This this one looks like a perfect mirror made out of a thin silver layer, reflecting everything around perfectly even when the field is a curved surface. You can't see through it from the outside. This field still looks like it melts when forming and like a shower of glass and glitter when broken, just like the level before. I can repair this one too if given enough time, but it takes twice as long as the last level does for the same amount of damage. This field is about twice as strong as the one before it, and can still block water but can also block fire and lava now -but it doesn't block the heat. I can hold this field for about an hour and a half before I run out of energy.”

Level 4: Liquid Gold.
“This field looks exactly like the liquid silver field, what with the melting into existence and glittery breaks and all, except it’s a gold color. This level can block any physical attack I’ve encountered thus far without cracking -short of an actual avalanche. It can block the elements of water, fire (which still includes lava, and this one blocks the heat too!), and air -which means that I actually can’t breathe if I enclose myself in this one. (to nullify this effect if I have to use it as a bubble or second skin, I usually only use this one while my ‘Pause’ spell in in effect.) The longest I’ve ever been able to hold a field at this level together is about 20 minutes as a wall, and until I can’t hold my breath any longer as anything else.”

Level 5: Mirrored Gold.
“This one is really hard for me to use, and I’ve only ever needed it once but I’m still trying to train with this one to get to the point where I could use it more. It looks like a thin mirror of gold that melts into existence and shatters like glass and then into glitter when it breaks, which I have no idea how much force it would actually be able to take before doing so. The longest I’ve ever kept this field stable is about a minute, maybe two. I’ll assume it blocks all the elements that the levels before it do, as I’ve never been able to test that. I can’t use this as a bubble or a second skin, at all. I’ve only ever been able to make a wall with this field about the size of the average sheild.“

“There are probably levels past 5, but I doubt I’ll ever get to the point where I can use them, I only was able to get to level 5 a few months ago anyway.”

“I realize now that I’ve been ignoring one of the elements when listing what each field can block. The thing is though, that earth can be blocked from level 0. It counts as a projectile unless the attack is like an earthquake or a landslide, in which case no forcefield is really gonna be much help then. If the ground is moving, you move with it. Simple, yeah?“

Astral Projection:
"The easiest way to describe this is that I’m just releasing my mind and consciousness from my body, and in doing so it takes on a spiritual form made of solid light. My actual body will fall unconscious when I do this, as if I were just sleeping, and my perception of the world switches entirely to my projection’s point of view. I can’t speak as a projection, and therefore can’t cast any spells, but I’ve learned how to communicate mentally while projecting -I can communicate the same as I normally do as a projection, but I can also communicate with anyone who touches my body no matter how far away my projection is.”

“I’ve never had a problem with distance -as far as I know there’s no limit to how far from my body I can go- but in order to wake up I have to return to my body, otherwise I’ll be stuck projecting until I die. So, I’ve never gone very far. I can still ‘feel’ my body while I’m projecting, I can tell when someone touches me or if I’m being moved, but if my body is hurt I don’t feel the pain until I wake up. As a projection I can’t be hurt by normal means, swords and arrows with just faze through my form. I can walk through walls and objects, like a ghost, but I can also pick up things and interact with them like I would normally too.”

“It’d be easier to just show you rather than try to describe what my projection looks like, but I’m not gonna do that without an actual reason to. My projection is made of light energy- you can see through me and I glow inwardly like candle in a dimming lamp, the light contained by the edges of my form. (she doesn’t glow or give off light at all) I can change the color of the light at will, though usually it’s just a light silvery gray or yellow. My projection looks just like how you see me now (minus the clothes and genitals); you can even see my scars, the crescent moon on my back and the ring on my arm glowing white no matter what color the rest of my form is."

Telekinesis:
"I use this one a lot for some pretty stupid things sometimes- but in my mind it’s all for practice. (and because I can’t reach the thing on that high shelf without using it, so.. Nyeh! >.< ) I have more control than strength with this skill, as I believe that’s a better thing to have anyways. The heaviest thing I’ve ever lifted was about 1000 pounds heavier than me, for a little less than a minute in order to move it out of the way of crushing my best friend. The longest I’ve held any significantly heavy thing in the air was about an hour, and that thing was my friend Aster, who at the time weighed about 150 pounds more than me.”

“I can grab things, move the things, lift them high off the ground, throw them pretty far away from me, and pull things towards me; I can also just do generic telekinetic pushes and pulls that affect everything in that direction or area instead of just one thing at a time. In order to move people I need to be relatively close to them, about 5 meters away seems to be the limit, but for objects I have a longer ‘reach’ so to speak -I can grab things up to about 20 meters away from me.”

“Oh! I almost forgot to mention, I can control this skill with just my mind, though I often pair a movement to the actions because that’s just how I learned to do it all in the first place. As an example: if you were to tie me up in a cell and hang the keys on a hook just outside the door, I have the precise control needed to get those keys into the lock and open the door without needing to break my bonds. Tie the keys to something though, and I might not be able to get them so easily, if at all."

Guardian didn't even hesitate for a moment when he slammed his hand over Shredder's face with enough force to knock out teeth and put him on the ground before sending a rather large voltage through his body, hopefully enough to knock him out. Afterwards, he placed Bjorn on top of Shredder's body, guaranteeing the Director he would not escape. "Someone go get a mouth guard now!" he ordered before once again gripping Shredder by the face but along the mouth area, using what force he could to hopefully pry his mouth open.

'Are you fucking kidding me? This bitch seriously better go the fuck away...' He thought with irritation before turning back to her with a bit of irritation. 

"What the hell do you want?" He asked shortly. Asking if he was a Hero he simply rolled his eyes as he retrieved a cigarette from his pocket and lit it. 

"No sane civvi is going to watch a fight from up here are they? Tch...Yeah I'm a hero but I came at the end of it." He gestured at the falling giant before glancing back to her.

"The fight was nearly over stupid. There was no need for me. Besides I'm trying to figure other things currently..." He walked over to the edge of the building and looked down at the wolves fighting Violet. Knowing she would eventually ask "like what", he glanced over to her with a serious face.

"Like which Heroes of the HA are planning a coup on HQ..." He narrowed his eyes on the field, watching those below. He had blatantly lied to her to throw her off and with news of that stirring up after Mrs Pickles's promotion, it's rumor was slowly becoming facts.

The wolves were thrashed about, specifically those attacking Reaper. Their heads split in half, flopping about as they regained their footing on the ground, seemingly reattaching the split through viscous like veins and, if one was to look closer, tendrils. Both began to circle her, but the one who moved behind her began to hum and screech behind its snarls and short barks. 

"A girl has grown..." The one behind her spoke up in pitches that only Reaper could her. The one in front of her spoke up as well.

"A girl's usefulness has increased as well..."

"This one was sent to test a girls limits..."

"And this one to exceed the limits..."

"The other one is sent to watch over the test...Something big is to come..."

"Yes...This one's master has come back from the dead."

"To make the human's one with him."

"A girl is only given one chance to prove her worth."

"And a girl's chance is now..." They both lunged forward for Reaper, one from behind and one from the front. The one lone wolf paced back and forth as watched the fight, snarling and glancing back at the other Heroes.
