Hey! So I'm adding a section on "Unit of Time" to help everyone figure out how time flows in this world. Still etching out proper descriptions of the eras (read:ages) (you'll discover more in the RP), but I've also added a section talking about the months and days of the week.

So feel free to tell us your character's birthday! 🎈

@AristoAstoria has British naming conventions while Vicelles has French and Romanian names. Though there was a civil war, and a world war that kind of muddied the water in terms of naming conventions. So most things could probably work. Particularly poor folks in Vicelles have surnames such as "Black" or some other such name, House Grey is the exception to that rule- but they originally were peasant farmers.

I should also mention, for elven characters not born/raised in elven societies are called (derogatorily) 'city-elves'. These city elves often have surnames such as "Blackfoot", "Swiftwind", just rally more fantastical sounding names.

Hey all, sorry for the number of updates but I just wanted to run the idea of using Discord by folks to see what they think. It'd just be an easier way to communicate once the RP is actually running. As always, let me know :)

@Oxenfree Thanks for sharing! I'd encourage others to do the same so that we can start getting a bigger picture regarding party-line up.

Also, group feedback is good as long as people are comfortable with that. Constructive criticism is great as is letting folks know what you think really works! That goes for me as well!

@Aristo Yes, experience with the fog is actually expected if your character is from Vicelles. Witch Hunters are a specialized unit in most military's and king's guards. However, less formally trained hunters operate similarly to mercenaries.

@TangletailIt's a bit different than a reboot. More of a sequel, lol. Not entirely sure it would be possible for the gang from Owls and Wolves would be "available" at present, but you're more than welcome to draft up a new character sheet.

@vietmykeYeah no dice rolling. It's just a way of helping me gauge characters' capabilities. It'll definitely impact certain actions, but I want this to be fully a roleplay experience.

@Aristo On paper it's beholden to the crown, but in reality it's actually mostly upheld through contributions (in raw number of soldiers and financially) made by the Driskard family. It gives them a great deal of political leverage.

It certainly isn't technically secular. Divination and Constitution mages and priests are a fundamental part of the ranks (especially for the purposes of purification, healing, etc.) Though it's not required to practice the Ten Divines Faith, Minerva is the Patron Goddess for much of Vicelles and prayer to Minerva is common at Fort Stag.
