Jub just trying to grieve his friend in peace but the Feywild still wants to pull some bullshit.

Jub: Is 'why' an emotion? Because that's what I'm feeling right now.
Jub the Peculiar

Jub had been replaying the scene of Brutrumukk's demise over and over again in his head when the wild magic starting playing up, and his body instinctively tensed as he sensed that familiar electrical feeling in the atmosphere. In his shocked and grief-addled mind, he was fully prepared for something to happen that would decimate him and his remaining companions. After all, Brutrumukk had been the strongest of them, and he had been taken out so easily.

However, instead of some terrible catastrophe, some strange music started playing as something came out of the lake where Brutrumukk's body had previously been. It didn't look like him, but something in Jub could tell it was what remained of his departed friend. His essence, spirit, soul... whatever you wanted to call it, Jub had never been particularly spiritual, but he got the idea. It placed itself out on the grass and all Jub could do was kind of stare it. Through the numbness and confusion in his mind, Jub could feel the smallest spark of hope. Then, the area was overtaken by a bright light, causing the goblin to wince. He wasn't sure what was going to happen when he opened his eyes again, but he had this nagging suspicion that it was going to be something weird. The Feywild seemed incapable of being normal for more than two seconds, after all.

Sure enough, when the light cleared and Jub opened his eyes again, there was a naked forest gnome lying where Brutrumukk's whatever had been. Jub stood up as he had a creeping suspicion of what had just happened, but he wasn't about to do anything until said suspicion was confirmed.

Then the gnome woke up and started cursing at the goblin gods and Jub knew he was right: this was Brutrumukk, reborn but still the same guy he had been a few minutes ago. Jub let out a small sigh of relief, followed by a louder sigh of frustration as he removed his wizard cloak. "This place really is going to be the death of me," he muttered under his breath before he approached the transformed barbarian. He handed him his cloak. "You might want to put this on for now. Don't want you catching some kind of, I don't know, weird fairy cold or something."
Fellsing, you're a dream machine.

Aye no prob. I'm going to wait until he gets some proper new clothes before I draw him... I doubt he can fit into his old stuff at this point xD though the idea of a gnome running around in oversized torn up clothes is hilarious to me

Actually, they're the same size now. I rolled for Brut's new height and weight on 5etools and the height came up 3'4

Ah okay. Well, Jub has at least one person who isn't towering over him now.

However, this also means no more shoulder goblin, and that is the greatest tragedy of all :(
I went through so many emotions reading that post xD

My main takeaways are that 1. Brutrumukk's going to need some new character art and 2. ofc Brutrumukk's still taller than Jub.

Anyway, going to start working on a post now. Jub's going to have a... reaction.
Thank you! I wasn't sure about the ages, and I figured Vipereyes might be at least a little younger when I wrote my post. ^^"

That's a fair assumption, given how she acts xD
I'll wait for at least one more person to respond before I put anything else, though I will take this moment to clear something up, because Stargaze's comment about 'Vipereyes picking fight with the older dragons' actually got me thinking.

Vipereyes, Garrock and Fogdance are all in the Bearded Dragon age bracket. I've already established that Garrock is Pretty Old(TM) given I've mentioned he's not far from becoming an Elder Dragon... but funnily enough, Vipereyes is probably not that much younger than him (though Stargaze would be forgiven for thinking otherwise, given I imagine Vipereyes wears her age a little more gracefully).

Fogdance is on the younger end of the Bearded Dragon age bracket... or at least she was, until magical aging shenanigans occurred. Due to the ceremony, she's actually catching up to them a bit, though still physically younger. Fogdance is also probably wiser and more emotionally mature than both of them, at least in my opinion.

Just a fun character fact that I thought I'd throw in since I realise I haven't really specified Vipereyes and Fogdance's ages.
I don't think Tsak could move any further, and none of her spells would hit

We're not in combat anymore, we're just talking.
Just checking in: how's everyone doin'?
Posted. Flicker is worrying that Aura might still be upset with them ^^;
Flicker had remained quiet while they followed Jørmund and Rala on their little shopping trip, as their mind was going over the not-quite-argument they'd had with the rest of the group. As was usual, they'd gone from being upset with others to being upset with themself for not handling their emotions better, and were starting to worry if the others, particularly Aura, were holding it against them.

When Cascade and Aura eventually rejoined them, Flicker raised their head to look towards the air genasi, trying to size up whether she held any bad feelings against them.
