I made a post for Dae and Ash. I am reasonably pleased for it, though it could be far far better. Ah well it will do for now. I may edit it at some point, I may not.

Anyway, I decided I might as well post a piece of music though it doesn't hold much relevance to the roleplay. Well, none at all. But it is good music. It is actually part of a set that I am playing in my Traditional Band at the moment so that may be part of why I like it. Anyway, enjoy (hopefully)!
Couer Grain Warehouse

Daedhel let out a quiet, thoughtful hum as Onatha replied to her question. Her eyes darted to the hand that Lucius placed on her arm - obviously for comfort. Dae didn't not particularly like Onatha, but that was pretty normal for her when meeting new people. However she was realising that it would possibly be beneficial to be more... civil towards the other young woman. After all for now being in the company of the Prince may be beneficial and it seemed that would mean putting up with Onatha as well. "Daedhel," she replied to Onatha with a slight nod, ceasing her suspicious glares.

Folding her arms one of Dae's eyebrows arched delicately. "I think it goes without saying that you are pleased to see me, Lucius." There was the slightest of smirks at that comment. She certainly found it easy enough to switch from threatening to more calm and collected, almost teasing, though one hand remained rested on a knife. "Yes, I'm afraid I'm just attractive in that way." She flashed him a slight smile. "You do have appear to come out of it worse." She was quite glad her wounds had not been worse. Of course her shoulder was sore where she had been hit and there was some limited movement there, and the others were painful. She had came out alive, though. That was the important thing.

"Oui, c'est des conneries," she repeated softly, though there was a flash to her icy eyes. "You could not seriously expect more from the Lord Sovereign. He may be Valanian but he values our people no more than the... Sarifen scum," she spat the word out, a look of displeasure crossing her features once again, "do. But he will pay for this, just as all the Sarifens will." There was definitely a dangerous look back on her face, with the smirk across her lips increasing. Oh, it would be quite delightful if the Lord Sovereign's death did come at her hand. Of course she knew of the security of Palais de Voltas; more specifically of how thorough it was. One day she would find a way around that and in. There were many things she could do...

"I saw it in passing, yes," Dae replied. It seemed it was this most unfortunate event that had allowed her escape and hindered the gangers and St Melitas shield maidens. "There was not much time to take in the details in my... hurry, but I certainly caught sight of some of the slaughter. They have no honour, that much is quite obvious, and there is no one to defend the commoner's. Voltas has certainly fallen far and fast in the past few years. There are the Sarifen conscripts who butcher our people, the ganger's the rule the streets... some even funded by the Lord Sovereign himself." Her run in with them the night before had only further highlighted the problem to her. She clenched and unclenched her hand as she spoke. All this talk was only giving her an urge to kill... to assassinate some of the people who were causing this. It was primarily driven by her hatred for those from Sarife and what had been done to her country, and the hatred for the Lord Sovereign that had quickly developed in her time after returning to the city.

"I ask you again, Lucius, though this time more seriously... What are you doing in Voltas? Surely you must have some plan." And if so, she certainly wanted to be a part of it.
Somewhere In Voltas

It was certainly a relief to reach the great city of Voltas after riding hard all night. Of course, it was soon discovered the city was not was no nice place to be. Ashradar struggled to keep an emotionless mask upon his face as they entered the streets. Death surrounded them on all sides and those that still lived were not far from being in this state. The sight of it made him feel sick in the stomach and brought forth disgust in his mind. He could do nothing but watch in horror in horror as a group reached up for a fish only to have the boy on the top, nothing more than a child, fall and break his neck. Though he had seen a lot in his years in the service of Ghazi Korkud he had certainly not seen anything like this. A part of him wished he could help even when he knew he couldn't.

Ash swiftly dismounted to lead his horse through, following Korkud's instructions swiftly and listening silently to the negotiations with the innkeeper. Of course soon enough the innkeeper gave in to the request. Ash began to remove the equipment from the horses even before Korkud spoke to them, anticipating what would be asked of them.

"Of course, Ghazi." He dipped his head and hurried to finish. With everything sorted he headed up the ladder into what seemed to be some form communal room where food and drink was served. Quite hungry after the riding Ash got a small meal, something to fill his stomach enough so he no longer felt hungry. There was a certain tension about him. Though they had not been here for long he was already developing a dislike for Voltas. Why were there people starving in the streets? There seemed to be no enforcement of law in this part of time. Surely the Lord Sovereign must know something of this. Why did he do nothing? Ash could not understand. He guessed there were certain things he wouldn't understand.

Suddenly not feeling up to eating Ashradar stood once again. He glanced around before heading back over to the ladder and slipping down to the lower level. One hand rested on his sword he proceeded to walk around the perimeter of the inn to inspect exact details of the location. He then went on to go on a larger loop. As much as he disliked what he saw on the streets, the children fighting for food, the carcasses that lay about, he knew he had to do something to keep his mind off it. Walking around to both check out the area surrounding the inn and see if anything was coming their direction helped with this. He was physically exhausted, yes, but he would hold out on sleep. He was quite sure the instance he entered the room it would wake Korkud and that was not something he wanted to do. Instead he busied himself with the self imposed task. Better something like this than to stay idol. Of course, he was remained close to the inn so he could easily get back to it if needed.

Who knew, that was always a possibility.
I guess I will then :D Though now I'm torn as to what to post... there is so much to choose from. What song, which instrument... Hmm. It is a difficult decision. I do love Scottish/Irish music so much it is difficult
All this music is certainly very good - I do like listening to new things I wouldn't normally listen to. I would contribute but I feel mine would mostly be Scottish and Irish traditional music which isn't exactly the same style nor in any way related to the roleplay (though I certainly enjoy listening to it). That piece is very good, though incredibly long so I could see how it would keep everyone satisfied for a long while :P
It's a very good post, Gourm, so I wouldn't worry!

A Dae and an Ash post will probably come from me tomorrow or around then :) looking forward to writing it
Still a good plan though xD

I've done Syn but Keir probably won't be posted till tomorrow because I'm out for all of tonight and won't have my laptop till tomorrow evening

"Promotional trick sounds likely," Syn replied with a tilted head and thoughtful look. "Though for what, I wonder? The image wasn't exactly appealing." She made a face. It really hadn't been a nice experience and a bit of a shock. What they had seen was... almost like another world entirely. It had been so dirty. Certainly nothing like the place they lived in now. It certainly wasn't a place that she wanted to end up at.

"I didn't do anything! It just stopped working! Sure, the other time was my fault, but this time wasn't," she protested with a frown. She sincerely hoped that Nax didn't see through with that threat. "You know how much I need this arm. If I lost it I would probably lose my job, and its so much harder using computers with only one arm." Sure, she had survived long enough but... it wasn't easy. Not many people were willing to take on someone who only had one hand to work with. Especially in engineering. She wouldn't have gotten very far up the chain at least. "Yeah, might be a good idea..." she sighed softly.

"What will they do if that happens?" Syn asked with a light huff. "You have a pretty perfect record, don't you?" Even so she followed him from the wooded area and towards the platform. Her working hand fiddled with her mirror shard slightly in her pocket as she thought about it. It was certainly... interesting. The turn of events had been one she'd expected. "I guess home is a good idea, though." She spoke as she stepped onto the platform that began to take them down from the park. "Far better than work at least. Less... work involved." She smiled.

"Hey, that's weird, my fingers can move again," she commented as the lift began to reach the bottom. To prove this she waggled her fingers. "Must have just been a glitch. Strange. Hopefully I'll get movement in my arm again." It was certainly odd. Maybe whatever had projected the image had interfered with her arm. Shrugging to herself she glanced over at her friend. "What are you going to do when you get back? I'm planning on doing a bit of my... other job," also known as hacking, "and updating E.R.I.C." Standing for Erikovna's Really Intelligent Computer. It was an AI she had began building as a child (thus the terrible name) and had continually improved as she got older.

"Ow!" Keir let out a sharp cry as Emmy suddenly attacked his finger with alcohol before wrapping a plaster around it. "It wasn't that bad, honestly, Emmy." He couldn't help smiling though. It was nice to have a friend that he could depend on even if it was a rather small cut. It would mean there was no impediment to his playing whatsoever. Then again he guessed that was why she did it. He was glad for it, truthfully. It wasn't nice when any pain stopped him playing.

"I really don't think so... There are obviously some pieces missing... I can maybe work out a few words... that looks like the. No, I don't think this will work," Keir murmured in reply as he squinted his eyes, pushing his glasses down his nose to peer over them at the writing on the back of the shards. There was no way he would be able to read it. he may be smart but he wasn't quite that smart. His eyebrow arched at what she went on to say, gaze sceptical though Emmy was making it very convincing. "It could be- oh, well done, you almost had me there." He rolled his eyes and joined in her laughter. It was all good natured.

"Yeah," he nodded, eyes darting to their reflection in the mirror. It was a bit warped due to not being a complete mirror but normal enough. Then, suddenly, everything changed. It was their surroundings that suddenly shifted and they seemed to no longer be in the park, with the roads and cars that surrounded it gone and replaced by sparse buildings made of mud, and wood, and other rudimentary materials. People were all moving on foot in small clusters. He could barely make them out and, quite frankly, it was all a bit terrifying. What had happened to the park? Was Emmy still beside him.

Glancing over at his friend and breaking eye contact with the mirror everything went back to normal. What... He had to have been imagining it. Then Emmy spoke and he realised he wasn't imagining it. "No, I saw it too. At least I think I did... different surroundings, yeah?" He shook his head frantically and moved the two mirror shards away from each other in case it happened again. He did not want that to happen again. "I think we may both be going mad." He slowly stood, frown on his lips. "How did that happen? It must be a trick... or maybe it is magic... No, its not magic. Definitely not magic." He frowned as he tried to work out if anything chemistry related could cause this. "Maybe it was hallucinatory gas that made us see things. Did you see anything... gas like?" It was a theory.
Zaria

How she remained calm upon the appearance of the fenghuang was a mystery even to herself. It was instantly obvious to Zaria that this was no normal Natrelmon. She really doubted it would approve of her using the Mythin for such a ritual. She herself did not see any problem with such a thing. Was it not the natural cycle of things? The smaller creatures were killed by the bigger ones and thus used. Sure, this was not quite the same as the food chain as it wasn't being eaten but Zaria genuinely did not believe it was murder. Of course, she maybe should not have enjoyed it. Ah well.

Her eyes widened as the Mythin was resurrected and flew away in fear. That was some power. She tilted her head, face impassive as she listened to the words Tasri spoke. Well this certainly was a sticky situation for her. She was quite sure she would come out best if she placed her hands on the light. However, she did not know what it did apart from helped her begin to repent. It could do anything in addition to that.

And anyway, it would not work as she had quite clearly been told deception would not work. She, personally, did not feel that she had anything to repent for. It was just a Mythin. One that happened to now be alive again. So no harm done. And it had died in the first place for a good cause. At least, it was a good one in her mind. It had not been without a reason. And it would further her own goal of attaining power.

Taking a few, slow, steps backwards and away from the light Zaria finally spoke. "I apologise for any harm I have caused." Lie. "And I do thank you for your concern. I'm afraid I have no loved ones to bring to ruin, as you claim I will do, and I am sure I will be quite fine." She felt herself being drawn towards the light, and the incredibly bird, but somehow continued her slow journey backwards. If repentance meant giving up the ritual she now owned, and possible her blood magic, she certainly wanted no part in it. "While I do regret my actions and I'm afraid there is not much more to repent for." Even if it was a slight struggle Zaria managed to retain her skill with words, though she was unsure how well it would work on the Tasri.

"Really, I am quite fine." Zaria had certainly made up her mind now. Touching that light was not her best option. She was certainly not willing to 'repent' for the crimes she had committed, however small they were. And deception was not advisable. It was a shame, really, that Tasri had seen her darker side. It was, of course, something she kept hidden from most. People tended not to approve of those who weren't perfectly morally good and she needed people to approve of her. Ah well. It was hardly like the legendary bird could spread the word.
Vegas would probably be a good plan

Sorry I didn't have time today to write my post - I'll hopefully have it posted by Friday at latest (I'm busy tomorrow and Thursday)
