Personality
Rei is a slightly odd personality. She is not particularly the person that you would expect to be a member of the black demon army. Lazy and impudent, her dislike of work tends to be the worst nightmare of most people in command. She has a general inability to listen to and take in any kind of orders or feedback and as a result doesn't tend to follow them when she does. Even with this she isn't particularly rebellious and has no problem with there being someone in command - she's just very bad at listening to what she is told to do. Even with this, however, she tends to be relatively easy going and easily makes friends without putting in the effort (she doesn't like putting in effort). As a result she is good at teamwork... sort of. She isn't someone to get bothered by derogatory comments made towards her and doesn't get emotional easily. Well, the one thing that will annoy her is when people comment on her short height.

Rei's main strength comes from her intelligence. She is incredibly smart and while this doesn't always come across, as she often cannot be bothered to think, it shows in more important situations. Her intelligence allows her to act independently and think of somewhat odd, but good, tactics. With her intelligence comes a slightly sharp wit and one of the things she enjoys doing is making sarcastic to others, no matter what rank they are. While her general easy going nature and intelligence can mean people find her likeable her personality flaws also irritate and create dislike among a sizeable number.

Biography
Rei grew up in a reasonably large family. As the youngest of five she tended to be ignored and neglected a lot, and this only happened more due to her general lack of femininity and overall laziness. While she did not suffer direct physical abuse beyond of few slaps from her parents she was subject to a lot of emotional abuse that effected her more than she would admit to anyone. She was never particularly close to her parents but had a strong bond with her one year older sister, Amaya. She was the one friend Rei had while growing up as her parent's strictness isolate her from other children her age. 

The first twelve years of her life where nothing out of the ordinary, aside from incredibly strict and emotionally hurtful parents. She attended school because she was required to, attained good grades without much effort and struggled to find anything that was particularly interesting in her life. Rei's only escapes were swimming and cooking, and she was not allowed to the do either without supervision. Her life wasn't one that she particularly enjoyed.

It was when Rei was twelve when the virus struck and as a result escaped dying. The majority of her family was wiped out leaving her and Amaya, who was just young enough to survive, to fend for themselves. Rei did not feel any grief for the loss of the rest of her family as she had never received any love from them nor felt it towards them. It was a relief to finally be able to be herself even in such a chaotic world.  

Rei and her sister were forced to move around quite a lot to find places to stay, and it was a bit of struggle to survive with a general lack of food. Both of them were forced to learn basic fighting to avoid having any supplies they had stolen by other children who were in similar situations to them. Neither of them knew about the existence of vampires. 

Rei was fourteen when a two vampires arrived in their area. These vampires were moving through quickly and it was bad luck that both Rei and Amaya happened to get in their way. With no way to defend themselves and very little knowledge of who these's stronger, seemingly human people were. There was nothing that she could do when her sister was taken from her as a meal for a vampire. 

The vampires, however, had been passing through in an effort to escape from a pursuing group of humans and their stopping to drink had slowed down their progress. Before they could kill Rei a squad from the Imperial Demon Army arrived, taking care of the vampires with relative ease. With her sister dead Rei ended up going with the squad back to what seemed like a safe haven to her. 

Here she attended the Second Shibuya Highschool before training for the army, and receiving a cursed gear after attaining good grades with ease and showing her resistance to demons. Now she is to join Sugihara squad as a replacement member.

Cursed Gear: Mizu no yajirushi (水の矢印)
Taking the form of a crossbow, Mizu no Yajirishu is a ranged weapon that needs two hands to hold. It manifest from a smaller form meaning that a crossbow does not need to be always carried about. It looks like a normal two handed crossbow but in green and black with the bolts manifesting as green and ethereal (similar to Yoichi's bow's arrows).

Combat Style
Rei offers predominantly ranged support for her team. Her weapon works best at a long to mid distance range and she is rather weak when it comes to close combat due to the weapon being unwieldy to block attacks with. However Rei excels at a close range. The weapon offers a scope to zoom in one targets allowing Rei to aim to kill when necessary. Her bolts pierce through materials and can  be shot at quite a fast rate if necessary. Rei being quite dextrous helps with this and allows her to move while shooting. Her scope also allows her to scout from a distance and pick off any lone enemies.
