lol oops
For some very legitimate and important reasons and other not so legitimate or important ones, I have decided to submit a fifth character for introduction. Her CS has been on the pad for a while and given a thorough looking over by Rose and NK, but I have only just now decided I am satisfied with it enough to post it. Yet another rarely seen on-screen character like Vikki and Kali Rana, Irene (aka flugel girl) is the operator of the dimensional gate out of Oasari. I'm still fine-tuning exactly how said gate works in my head, but everything important is there. Enjoy:

@Raijinslayer It may not be viable as it's Prometheus' boat, not a public cruise ship. I guess it would still be theoretically possible for Caelus to stow away, but I feel like Prometheus' tech wouldn't allow that. However, it would allow for some nice dialogue while we stay in line with the other scene going on concurrently. (Although a substantial amount of time passed in that voyage before the current events, the voyage the Europe team are taking is a lot longer.) @chukklehed, what do you think?
~ Mizuki ~

Featuring the rest of the Europe team

Mizuki looked at the shapeshifter with an expression that was a combination of disbelief and thinly vieled annoyance.

"No," she replied, staring at the man. "I don't. And somehow I don't think I want whatever it is you have."

Yet, the group somehow managed to leave the facility and reach the harbor without any catastrophic breakdowns in relations between the kitsune and Prometheus or Crash. Further still, upon learning that they would be travelling to London (a very long way away) by boat exclusively, Mizuki only caused enough damage to warrant one fire truck responder.

Of course, there was a very good reason why they had to travel by boat, which was that travel by sea was the only way to get out of the continent unnoticed to the outside world. If an airliner suddenly appeared out of thin air, lots of questions would be raised. Within minutes of leaving the harbor, the vessel whose passenger list was nobody but the Athalia trio passed through the dimensional gate without incident and found itself in the outside world. The trio now had a long, multi-day voyage ahead of them, which Mizuki was none too fond of and relegated herself almost immediately to brooding on deck.

Meanwhile, in the middle of the other multi-day voyage...

"C'MON YOU SON OF A-"

Vikki was having a difficult time piloting the fishing trawler. While it was better outfitted than a non-Oasarian trawler, it was still a trawler and heaving the heavy ship around was no easy task. As Vikki threw the wheel back and forth, she mentally cursed the ship's captain for both being nowhere to be found and for not being able to do what she was even if he had been. She had been watching the action off the port side of the boat over her shoulder, making quick adjustments to the ship's heading and speed (nearly stopped) to try to make Rain's job as easy as possible.

As she watched the action unfold, she locked the ship into a heading once Rain connected with Ryuu's hands, and ran out to the roof of the ship. She drew her two Persian Long Luger pistols, preparing to fire at the snake's crystal, when the beast suddenly stopped right in front of the aqua woman. "Everyone cease fire!" she yelled, in case anyone on the deck below was still planning on shooting at the snake. While she couldn't be sure, it seemed that whatever went on had worked and the snake was no longer malicious, at least for now. She held her pistols vertically, in a tenuous position ready to fire at a moment's notice. For now, though, the only audible sound was the waves.
So like...I suddenly and abruptly found myself in Chicago for three days this past weekend doing crazy and once-in-a-lifetime things, hence my similarly sudden and abrupt lack of doing anything. But I'm back now, and will get a post (and Irene's CS) up soon...!

Didn't plan on a reboot. Wouldn't mind one or two more people to come in, but we're fine as is. Adding more right now would just muddy things up anyway. -shrugs- If you guys want me to invite more people in actively, I'll do so. If not, I'm fine with cruising along as we are. I believe the people here right now are the ones that seem genuinely dedicated to the RP and want to see it continue so I'm kosher.

Yo. Let's cruise.

On that note, I'm going to go purchase my first alcoholic beverage tomorrow with friends so ye... I also have a shit ton of stuff to read for classes so that'll be fun. Drunk reading. Should be profitable, right? Yeah. I'll just hold on to that lie.

Purchase? Lol. You do your 21st right when you don't have to spend a dime - that's what friends are for. :D

(Also wine makes everything better)
Will be posting when I get back from my gig tonight.
Wait, you're part of the Europe thing? Sorry if I don't remember.

Either way, I'll get it up and running in my next post.
I think enforcing the post deadline has really helped the pace stay up and keep people interested by way of necessity. So, ye.
I think it would be interesting to see a Trek RP where each player plays an entire starship, not just a member of the crew. You could approach it multiple ways.

Way 1: Gene Roddenberry's utopia is in tatters as the Federation is no more. The Klingons, Romulans, Borg, or someone else infiltrated Federation space undetected and toppled the Federation's top brass, effectively taking over the entire empire. The result, however, remains the same: the (many) Federation ships that were in deep space when the takeover happened now have no allegiance. Some defect to the new regime, but the rest have no place to call home. Now they must deal with deep space patrols trying to get them to surrender or kill them, space pirates, and other orphaned starships (aka players). The Captains must decide on a new five-year mission.

Way 2: A space anomoly (or was it Q?) destroys a bunch of starships' long range communicators. Now they can only communicate with other vessels/starbases within a close distance. The result? Anarchy! Some ships (from ALL races) revel in the freshly cut ties and go rogue, attacking other ships and starbases for supplies, while others attempt to keep peace via diplomacy and trading. But it's hard for everyone, with rogue ships, space pirates and high tensions everywhere. One wrong move and you're getting a starship's entire weapon arsenal sent your way. How will you steer your ship and crew?

Way 3: A classic PvE war between the Klingons, Romulans, and/or Borg. You control a Federation ship, and must work together with other (player) vessels to win your battles and survive another day.

So basically: gritty free-for-all (Federation only), gritty free-for-all (any race), or PvE space romp.
~ Vikki ~

"Killing it does not benefit us...unless you intend to harvest it"
Rain

"Staying alive doesn't benefit us?" Vikki tersely replied to the blue-haired woman, before rushing to another part of the ship to check on that side. Rain was getting increasingly authoritative, which was fine for the time being as she had good suggestions, but Vikki made a mental note to keep her in check should it become an issue.

"Oh good," she muttered sarcastically when the merwoman yelled out an explanation. Before she could take action, however, a crewman fell overboard and the plasma man jumped in afterwards, saving the man but unable to get back on the boat himself. She threw her head back at the sky in frustration momentarily before erupting into a sprint towards the bridge. Somehow nobody on board was at the helm and nobody on board had thought to stop the ship at any point. She yelled "You're in charge while I'm up there," as she sprinted past the blue-haired woman. Now's your chance to prove yourself, she thought as she ran. Sprinting down corridors and up stairs three at a time, she soon reached the vacant bridge. As she slammed the throttle lever into hard reverse, the boat began lurching slowly to a halt. From the bridge's bird's-eye view she could survey everything, but not give orders because of the windows.
