Talk to your players and be open to their ideas, at the end of the day we're all just here to shoot the shit.

Honestly, more structured/collaborative roleplays can be really fun and rewarding, but if you're going to open a project like that up you have to be flexible and open to compromise.

But god knows how many hours I've sunk into my collection of main series Pokémon game, so it's like making me pick between my children. :'D

@Fish of Oblivion How do you suggest Fredrick and Jeremy get in touch with the rest?

Welp, advance apologies for getting back to you so late:

Looks like the group that was at the asylum are heading back to campus, so that seems tailor-made for a convenient dramatic coincidence if Fred and Jerry aren't going to be moving on right away? Admittedly not sure exactly how to get direct contact going from there, but it's a start.
It was a sweep of cold air across his face that pulled Dante out of his sleep.

The air around him was pleasantly warm; not like the harsh, humid tail-end of July he’d been enjoying for the last few days, nor the deadly dry season he knew would be coming to replace it in a few short weeks. Even with the cool breeze, it was just warm enough that he didn't much feel like moving from where he was. Opening his eyes and lying prone on the ground as strength slowly returned to his body, he wondered where he was; he’d been out of the house for most of the day, but the last thing he could remember before he woke up put him on the way back home, not some strange countryside.

On a better day- one where he wasn’t reliving the time he’d had a few drinks with his parents- that might have been enough to tell him that something was very, very wrong.

Instead, it was the mutterings from off to the side that caused him to turn over that clued him in.

His vision was blurry; but there was no mistaking the three other people lying on the ground nearby him, none of them seeming conscious. His heart nearly skipped a beat as his mind began to warm up and consider possibilities; but it soon enough found itself distracted.

After all, there was no mistaking that- rather than the other three figures- the sounds of conversation were coming from the two nondescript pink blobs hovering above them.

He blinked, his vision clearing and focusing. The blurriness went away, but the pink blobs didn’t. A moment passed, and he stayed silent as the two creatures seemed to bicker amongst themselves.

“... The hell was in that water?” He asked aloud, his voice reasonably quiet even as he pulled himself up, weakly and shakily but strong enough to get into a sitting position. Either he was still asleep and hadn't realized it just yet, or his neighbours hadn’t been kidding about fae living in the local pipeline.
Added a handful of character themes, and they're in! I'll come back to this when I get to work on my other lads and I'll probably add at least one theme when/if someone gets turned into a Digimon :p

Well, here are my first two boiz:

I'll probably add a couple things here and there and fill some Misc. stuff in before this goes up in the other tab. Might also get a transparent version of Dante's pic if it doesn't end up looking like he has a hole in his head
I'm kind of on the fence- that said, I've got a couple suggestions regarding the idea, so I'll go for 'Yes' so it doesn't get thrown out altogether?
Just checkin' in here real quick whilst I subscribe; gonna refresh myself on plans and ideas and then see about putting my sheet together!
Against my credit, I've had 66% of a post drafted for ages now. I'll get back to it once I've done a little more uni work/caught up for some other obligations?

And not gonna drop another hard deadline on Vin just yet; I'll sort that out later, and give him the benefit of the doubt until then. Feel free to chase him up on my behalf, but don't go losing time or sleep over it.
@ONL Yo, sorry this took so long; I don't have that much of an excuse, just halfway through the semester and starting to pull my shit together. I'll see about shifting into high gear on future posts soon!
Frederick Hughes

Mental State: Uneasy, but focus and resolve returning
Physical State: Wide awake and mostly healthy

“It’s quite alright, no need to beat yourself up over it!” Frederick couldn’t help but feel a little guilty himself as he saw the man retreat inwards a bit after his response. He still felt he’d made the right choice in turning down the request, but he supposed it wasn’t a situation that most people knew how to react to; for whatever reasons he’d ended up coming to Arkham, he was still more mentally equipped to deal with the grim events at hand than most citizens would be.

The guilt didn’t last too long, however; making a quick recovery, the man continued. Whilst he still seemed shaken, it seemed mostly physical; despite his profuse shivering, weak smile and the slow trickle of sweat down his forehead, his voice seemed fairly focused, if still strained. Frederick supposed the man was stronger mentally than he presented himself; and that was admirable in and of itself.

“Frederick Hughes- pleasure to make your acquaintance, Mr Velera.” With that, Frederick took the hand that was offered to him; whilst he supposed that Jeremy wasn’t quite as skittish as he seemed, he also supposed that now would be an appropriate time to stop mentally dissecting him. Making a move to more pedestrian matters would help both of them, anyway. “As I’m said, I’m perfectly happy to accompany you to the other side of the campus- can’t promise I won’t get lost on the way myself, though!”

Well, maybe there was something to be said for keeping the analytical side of his mind active. Some well-timed humour could help put them both at ease.
