Nono, Castle Tepes

Nono huffed as Gintoki didn't come back, in spite of everyone practically telling him to. But it seemed to work out thanks to the Queen, who said she would have someone take care of it. Well, that was one less thing to worry about then, which she could be grateful for. Someone had to handle him, and at least they wouldn't have to spend too much time on it.

At least she wasn't the only one impressed with the gem, though she had a feeling that they couldn't quite appreciate it to the same extent that she could. But perhaps it was better, the unknown making it that much more entrancing. That might be something she had forgotten with her shift back to being a Buster Machine.

She frowned as Jack's suggestion, more in thought than in disapproval. What he said made sense, and while she thought of volunteering herself given her lack of close range experience, her arsenal of weapons did lend itself towards long range. Which couldn't exactly be exercised here. It would be more useful in a fight if she was outside, or somewhere similar.

"Alright," she agreed with a emphatic nod, frown vanishing. If that was what he wanted to do, then he could do it. Her attention shifted back to the Queen as she explained that they would probably try teleporting it away. She could probably do that herself, but now wasn't the time to test such theories. "We'll make sure they don't get the chance to Your Highness," Nono said with bristling certainty. When the time came, they would be ready.

Misaka 10,032, Academy City

Misaka managed to keep her expression under control as Kakine revealed that their target had, almost inevitably, made contact with Kamijou Touma. It wasn't hardly a surprise at this point, and while she didn't mind the opportunity to see him again, she would prefer that it not be while she was pursuing someone fleeing from Academy City authorities. Then again, it fit with his pattern of extremely improbably occurrences centering themselves on him.

She glanced over at her partner as she moved along, mind working as she informed the Sisters of this new development, before providing an answer. "'Misaka suggests that Kakine inform Crowley of this development,' Misaka says as she attempts to shift blame for the situation away from herself," Misaka said in a way that was very much indicative of the fact that she would prefer to not get on someone's bad side for this. After all, things tended to get chaotic when Touma was involved

Besides that, she continued to do the only thing she could do in this situation, preparing for the worst in the process.

Cinder Fall, Museum

Cinder glanced around the room with a calculating eye. Blake was reeling, but her help was basically untouched. And even more annoying, her ally had fled, leaving his opponent, though she had been stabbed and hurt, to confront her as well. Those were odds she didn't exactly enjoy, if she was to be honest.

So, she checked for options. Certainly she could make her escape possible, sacrificing more Dust in the process, but that might not be the optimal solution. After all, even defeat could provide opportunities, and she didn't want to waste those. They just needed to be found first. And so this one was, her quickly settling on an idea that could further her own agenda, even if it put herself at risk. Roman would be proud.

So, forcing down the smirk she wanted to show, she acted, standing back up and raising her hands, letting the blades she had used dissolve away into Dust as she placed herself at their mercy. "I surrender," she said without hesitation. Time to see if they would do what she wanted them to do.
Hm, kidnapping a miniature god of magic to play dress up with her. For some reason I have the urge to not actually foil this plan.
I would love to do a Battle: Los Angeles or Godzilla roleplay with you.

Message sent off to you then.
Misaka 10,032, Academy City

Well, it seemed they were running again. A pity that Kakine couldn't carry them as he had flown after Marisa before, but it wasn't a major concern. As things stood the Witch would be hard pressed to escape in a city such as this, with all the surveillance and powered people that could stop her. And that didn't take into account the various government organizations either.

"Yes," Misaka confirmed at the half joke as she ran along, drawing on the experience of thousands of hours of cardio and endurance training to set up a sustainable pace, especially with the guns she was carrying along. She'd compete in a marathon if she had the time, but it would hardly be fair to the competitors. And she was too busy most of the time anyway.

She quickly added to that as she noted the direction Marisa was moving in, passing that on to the Network so they could respond to it. At the very least it would allow for a swifter response to the Witch, before she could do any real damage, either to herself or the city. "'Antiskill and related organizations are on standby should we need support,' Misaka adds as she focuses on running," Misaka said to her partner. Of course, setting the Dark Side on Marisa might be a bit overkill, if not traumatic, but it was an option should they feel the need for it. For now, they had to catch up, and that was what mattered most.
Since Marisa's scene is pretty self-contained I decided to post again with her.

Well, this isn't about to end badly at all.
And before anyone asks: Yes I got permission to use Touma as a one-off for the mini arc in Academy City. I swear to whatever the heck's out there that he won't leave the place. He exists as a minor character and as comedic relief, not his usual Deus Ex machina self.

I'd be disappointed if he didn't show up :p
And I'm back. I'm sorry about the long wait time but the post will be much faster now that I got a new job that won't give me lot's of over time every week. The spell that Kanji cast increases our attack "damage". Also did I miss a post replying to Sawyer?

Ah, I see now. I read that wrong, my mistake.
Hey Trevor, since I don't know myself, is Matarukajah an invisibility thing or a teleportation thing?
Nono, Castle Tepes

Leaving aside any doubt that they were being tricked, Nono smiled as she followed Saber and the Queen further on into the castle, ready for the job that they had to do. They were going to have fun in the process, after all, so why shouldn't she enjoy herself? Certainly the Fraternity had taught her that she couldn't be serious all the time.

She was definitely impressed though with the castle, the old style mixed with the modern appliances doing relatively little for her, given where she had come from. It had to have been a pain to set up, but if someone could afford it then that was fine, and she certainly wasn't going to complain either way.

That wasn't even taking into account the various servants, whom earned a lot of curious gazes from Nono and others. Things besides base humans and space monsters were fairly strange, though less so than they had been before, and she made sure to smooth these sorts of things over with a smile and wave, accepting them for who they were. They were interesting as well, and she was appreciative of the job they did as well. It was a hard life for a maid.

But on she went, heading with them down a spiral staircase, and the skeletons catching her eye for a moment. Well then, that was...unexpected? And why were they keeping it there? "Oh, okay," she replied calmly, moving on past there with the reassurance.

At last they reached the gem and wide open room it was housed it. And Nono would admit that the picture did it no justice, both in the sheer size of the thing, as well as the color and make of it, beyond anything she had similarly seen. It wasn't hard to believe what the Queen said about it, though it left one to wonder how the Shadow Eternity planned to steal something so big. "Wow, it's amazing," she commented aloud, sincere in that appreciation.

It was at that point that Gintoki decided to leave, Non frowning as she shifted towards his departing form. "Hey, you can't just leave," she called after him. "We're on a mission!" She huffed then, not exactly amused by her companion. "Honestly...." At least she knew Onee-sama would never do something like that.

Misaka 10,032, Academy City

Somehow, Misaka wasn't surprised as Marisa took the first opportunity to run for it, pulling her broom out of her hat and zooming into the air. She responded quickly, all tings told, raising her gun and firing into the air after her, though she stopped once it became obvious that it was a mere waste of ammunition, and nothing more. She wouldn't waste her time on pointless efforts, though she did consider switching to her automatic anti-tank rifle. But that was rejected as well, leaving her with little choice.

"Understood," Misaka replied succinctly as she began to sprint after Marisa, gun held in a comfortable grip. Such runs were nothing new, and indeed she was not going to tire any time soon either. Catching up would be another matter entirely, but once they did the Witch would find out why running was a bad idea, at least while she remained in Academy City.

At the same time, she multitasked, drawing on the other assets of support available for the completion of this mission with a minimal of collateral damage. Ideally. "Sister Network has been contacted. Moving to intercept." That, of course, didn't rule out less savory elements of the cities organization, but hopefully they could get to her first. If only for Marisa's safety and not their own positions.

Ilyasviel von Einzbern, Shadow Eternity HQ

As if reading her, mind, shortly after saying that things were boring, the base intercom had gone off, informing them that it was time to get going for the mission at hand. That brought an anticipatory grin to Ilya's face as she rose from her seat on the couch, ready to get going and to have some fun.

Standing, wind billowed about as she shifted from normal garb to her combat clothes, tattered red cape fluttering as it appeared. That done, she headed for the hangar bay, taking it a bit easy rather than going all out. She'd get there soon enough, and once she arrived she'd only have to wait for everyone else to show up anyway. But at least she had something to look forward to now, and she would not be left behind.
