@Potemking: I feel as though you may have a masochistic compulsion. I've broken many a controller over Soulsborne games.

Redguards are technically the Arabians of Tamriel, so wouldn't shouting "Haji" make more sense? No disrespect to my Muslim buddies out there, just sayin'.

[2] It can also be effective in subverting the person's expectations. Take for instance Spec Ops: The Line. Looks like a boring military shooter, but is actually a grim look into the horrors of war.

*beep beep beep!*

"Ugh....shut up!"

*beep beep beeeeep!*

"I said shut up!!"

The young man grumbled bitterly with a gruff cough rasping his sore throat as a weary hand reached from the darkness of the covers and slammed down on his alarm clock. Yay....another damn week. Wasn't all bad that he found a sweet job working at the Human Canvas, it's just Matt wasn't much of a morning person. Throwing the thick black comforter off of him, the twenty-four year old stood on his firm legs, glaring down on the many scars that riddled his chest like a road map, some of them but a few days old. Consider those his first tattoos. Matt then shambled towards the window overlooking the dirty and grimy streets of the east district. He pulled back the heavy curtains, but receded just as the piercing morning sun hit his eyes. He grimaced, cursing to himself before his eyes adjusted. It was the typical scene, dingy, scruffy bums digging through the overflowing trashcans, some little hoodlum children beating one with a stick and taking his ill gotten change (probably was gonna use it to buy more smack), and the streetwalkers being harassed by the crooked cops. One would have to ask, who in their right mind would live in this dump of the city? Someone who didn't give a damn, and Matt could barely give two. This place was actually heaven compared to the hell he endured back in Dresden.

1964....

It is the height of the Cold War, and after the Cuban Missile Crisis, tensions between the U.S. and the U.S.S.R. are at a boiling point. Nuclear war is but a stepping stone away, and it could take but a small nudge to tip the scales and unleash Armageddon. Such an event occurs on the night of October 12 in Moscow. Karloff Brennestein, a German scientist and weapons manufacturer who defected to the Soviet Union after World War II, was murdered in his hotel room, from which were stolen top secret plans and documents. The killer has yet to be identified, and the only clue the hotel security can give was it was a woman dressed in black. Now both the CIA and the KGB are on the hunt for the mysterious assassin with several questions coming to mind: Who is she? Who does she work for? Why did she steal Brennestein's plans? And most importantly.....what was Brennestein planning?

As an agent of either the CIA or the KGB, it is your task to hunt down the elusive Woman in Black, however, you will also be keeping tabs on your enemies as well and trying to sabotage their progress by any way possible. The Cold War is a war fought with espionage and intelligence, but brute force is necessary at times, so guns are allowed. Keep in mind, the guns must match the period, (IE: There were no M4s or G36Cs in 1964. The AK-47 however is acceptable, as is the M16A1). The Woman in Black will also be hunting you as well, making sure you never steal or retrieve Brennestein's plans. Some agents might even come in contact with her as the story progresses.

THE RULES

- "Gentlemen, you can't fight in here! This is the War Room!" No fighting in the OOC, no flame wars, no bitching, etc. Don't be a troll or I'll kick you out from under your bridge....and the RP as well. Civil arguments and discussions are welcomed, but if it gets out of hand, I will break it up.

- "Viewer discretion is advised." Keep the adult stuff to at least a PG-13 level. Gore, drug usage and cussing like a sailor is cool with me, but as for sex, take it to the PMs if it gets past the necking phase. Also be considerately realistic. You're not going to rip out some dude's entrails with your bare hands.

-"If you're going to San Fransisco. Be sure to wear some flowers in your hair." Actually, if you have to be gone for a long amount of time, like more than a day or two, please let me know in advance. I understand life can be hectic for some and throw alot of curveballs time to time, and some of us have to deal with school, work, avoiding the landlord, etc, so I will gladly stall the rp. However, if you do not tell me, I will have to instate the three strike law, meaning if you don't respond in three days, your character will be insta-killed.

-(Ehh.....Insert 60s quote about education here) Oh noes, I ran out of quotes! Anywho, if you have any questions about the RP or you want to suggest something, feel free to ask either here or in the PMs. I'll do my best to answer it, and if I think your idea is a perfect addition the RP, you'll get the green light.

-"Stick to the Program" Yeah yeah, it wasn't a quote from the 60s, but try to at least be 50-60% historically accurate. I'll be lenient and allow a few innacuracies, since I understand it can be difficult for some to do a historical RP, but for the love of God, Zeus, and Cthulu, please don't throw in mechs and superpowers! This ain't Metal Gear folks......though that is cool *scurries back to play Snake Eater*

-And the most important rule of all.......Wear a condom....eh I mean....HAVE FUN!!!!!.....but seriously use some protection >.>;

-I'll post an OOC as soon as we have enough people interested......or just out of desperation. T.T
