He then turned to Meruin. "We may want to prepare for a fight, just in case someone is stupid enough to challenge us after what just happened."

@SlendyHe looked at Markus muttering about killing himself. "Son of a... I swear, losing emotions is not enough to commit suicide. I lose my emotions all the time when I meditate, and I never cry blood." Ryan created a wall of earth in front of Marcus and floated behind him. He raised his hand and hit a few pressure points on Marcus to immobilize him. "I think you can stop now Alex!" Ryan called out.
"Mages these days, I had my aura and life drained, did I break down and start crying blood? No, I got mad and opened up the Gates of Hell instead. Much simpler. Mages can't even stand a paper cut anymore I bet. Not like Meruin. She's so strong, beautiful as well. Scientific, able to blow up continents, she's just so perfect." Ryan didn't realize he was talking out loud as he shook his head. "God is this how Meruin felt when she awakened her Grimoire? I hate vocalizing my thoughts." Ryan floated into the air and continued muttering to himself about Meruin.
@Vec He stopped when he got close to Meruin though. He looked at Alex. "Do you want to save yourself the trouble and surrender? I like you, you're logical." He asked politely. "I don't want Meruin to tear apart your atoms and then I would freeze them. It's impolite. You just saved Marcus from potential Soul Scarring."

Meruin was asking if he had the ability to shut the gates down, not keep it open. Still, now that I think about, it's gramatically correct, but really confusing to read on text :/

Sorry, it sounded like she wanted him to keep the gates open. Either way, I closed them just now.

Ryan's eyes widened as Deus burst out of his watery prison. He closed the Gates to prevent Deus from being sucked in, then took the water and hardened it into ice. He then noticed that Deus seemed normal again. He melted the spears and instead kept a hand on Honjo Masamune. "I do hope you're not trying to kill her."

Wait, @floodtalon I thought the Gates were gone already? Also, Meruin was asking him to close them, not keep them open :D

Her eyes went wide as a bubble of water appeared around Marcus. "Ryan! He's already unconsious, leave him," she said, "and can you not shut the Gates? The situation is not as urgent as you think. I can do something about this, I just need time."

Ryan nodded and left the Gates of Hell open. They continued sucking energy into them while Ryan released Deus. "I hope you have this under control. As of now this situation seems to be going FUBAR." He commented as he checked his power. He was at about half power at this point.

Ryan was just trying to damage control at this point. He recognizes how crazy Markus and Deus have gone with power, so he tried to take away that power. Of course that didn't work, so he's just going to try and straight up kill them now.

Ryan landed on the platform of air and sighed. "I must end this. This has gone too far. Grimoire Deactivate." Ryan deactivated The Fool as he looked up in the sky. He flashed his aura and saw it was mostly fine. He got up and created a platform of water. Deus landed on it and it quickly enveloped him. "Drown." He increased the water pressure in the bubble in an attempt to kill him.
@Dash375Ryan observed Liz and shook his head. He created more water bubbles and shot Liz with them. If they hit they would freeze and start expanding.
@TheHangedManHe then looked at Meruin. "Meruin, we need to end this. Everyone is going out of control, and I opened up the Gates of Hell for a bit. If this continues, we may scar our souls." Soul scarring was one of the worst possibilities for any mage. If a soul was scarred then their power would be crippled forever, even in death.
