@Gobby

I was thinking Bruiser Tank. Big tower shield along with a sword.
I am interested in this. Here is my CS, hope it's alright!

"NO! Don't let it get away, we need the XP!" She cried out as she attempted to fire off another Mana Orb to stop the Slime. She was met by what appeared to be a system message telling her she was out of MP, meaning she was going to need to delay the Slime for a moment while she made a dash for a nearby crystal. She wouldn't be able to lift the Goblin and throw him unfortunately, her Lesser Force wasn't strong enough to do so. This left her with one option left, luckily she had a shield up. After these thoughts ran through her head, she raced towards the Slime and charged directly into it, slamming into it with all of her weight in an attempt to kill the thing. Hopefully this happened after the javelin collided with the slime, otherwise she was going to find out just how much it hurt to be impaled.

The slime squealed in pain as Mourningstar let out a haughty laugh, one could feel the condescension rolling off of her despite the lack of a definable body. "How pathetic! Defeated by one measly bolt of magic! I can't believe you two were even having tro- GET AWAY GET AWAY GET AWAY!" She screamed girlishly as the slime leapt at her, scrambling to the side as she fired off another two shots of magic. She also noticed the goblin child just staring at the ground like an idiot and the pixie casting a shield spell on her. At least one of them was being useful.

“If you’re here to help then keep firing at the Slime. I’ll protect you as best I can.” When the pixie said that she got a little annoyed admittedly, doing her best to try and puff up to show how annoyed she was.

"Of course I'm here to help you fools! You obviously need it to if you're trying to take on a slime with basic physical attacks, haven't you ever played an RPG before!? Meanwhile the dirty sprout of broccoli is just staring at the ground like an idiot while I nearly get eaten by a gross slime!" That last bit almost sounded like a scared whine, not that she would ever admit it.

"So yes, I am here to assist you! Be very grateful a mighty general of the Demon King would deign to help some low level monster brats such as yourself. In return you will be my new vassals as we leave this filthy cave. Not just anyone gets to be the minions of such a high level boss such as myself. You were lucky to have been chosen." Of course none of this was true in the slightest, well, maybe she was a general of the Demon King. Who knows honestly. But as the old saying on Earth goes, fake it until you make it. And Mourningstar was going to be very good at faking it, she had a whole lifetime to practice from now on. Maybe she would get so good she could actually make it.

The world is so dark. It's so so dark. She didn't remember much of her first day, everything was blurry and poorly lit. The second day was a bit clearer, she remembered a jagged blue object that made her feel... sated. Still hungry, but she could survive around this. Some flying things would occasionally pester her, but she would snarl and bat them away. How was she batting them away, she had no hands... The third day was when things finally came into focus and she could see the world around her for what it was. A nearly pitch black cave, filled with all sorts of wondrous creatures including pixies, goblins, even a slime or two. She should've been scared of all these monsters, but on the fourth day she caught sight of her own reflection in a pool of water. She too was a monster, but she didn't feel panicked at all. It felt right in a way. On the fifth day she remembered.

This was the start of her new life, she could be better now. She was a being of pure magic, meaning she needed magic to survive. This meant that the crystals that made her feel less hungry most likely emanated magic. But she was still hungry. So on the sixth day, she began training. She figured out her new powers, she could fire a blast of magic and she could use telekinesis to lift objects and throw them. Finally on the seventh day, she began to train her powers. She would use her telekinesis to pick up rocks and throw them at the crystals she fed off, chipping away at them slowly but surely. After chipping away at the crystal for long enough she would begin fighting pixies that came to steal the crystals, firing magic shots at them to drive them off until she began to get tired. Once she got tired she would consume the magic crystals and start the process over.

There were slipups throughout the day, at one point two pixies banded together to distract her and steal the crystals she had gathered, that ended poorly for her. She even gave up for an hour before picking herself back up and starting the process over again. Originally she was just going to let it go, but then she got angry and decided she was going to get revenge on those pixies eventually. this was a new life, she wasn't going to let anyone walk all over her this time around. Never again. Throughout the week she fed off of the green herbs that had been growing in places of sunlight, they were bitter but edible. They even made her feel a little better after she got her ass kicked pretty hard by one tough goblin who wanted crystals. She would have to kick that goblin's ass too, he pissed her off.

And here we are now. Mourningstar was watching from the shadows as a young goblin and pixie fought off a slime together, anxiously wondering if this was worth getting involved in. It was a pixie for one, a species she had very poor experiences with. But on the other hand, they could talk. And the fact that they were willing to cooperate with each other meant they had the capacity to be friendly. Finally she schooled her nonexistent face and let out a loud hardy laugh, attempting to make her feminine voice sound threatening as she shot a magic shot from the shadows at the slime. "Rejoice pathetic creatures! For the mighty Mourningstar has decided to lend aid in defeating this vile ball of jello! Does jello exist in this world? Probably not. Now let me take care of this! And with that Mourningstar joined the fight, staying at a distance and shooting magic shots at the slime attacking Shovel Boy.
@Zeroth

Alright. Well I redid my backstory, so please look over my CS again. I'll post it again here for convenience. Probably going to try and spec for Archdevil, Mourningstar wants a physical body and awesome magical power.

@Zeroth

After thinking about it for a while, I've come to the conclusion that perhaps I shouldn't go for a genderswap character. While I had a lot of ideas on how her past life and gender could work for character growth, including topics like society's view on masculinity and being uncomfortable in one's own body, I've realised that I'm probably not a strong enough writer to adequately tackle those kinds of issues yet. Thus I will be changing up her past life backstory so she was always a female.

Now moving onto other topics, what types of things can a Wisp evolve into out of curiousity? Or better yet, what's some of the end game evolutions for Wisps?
@Lmpkio

Ah, that's good. I'll have my CS done by tomorrow, Sunday at latest.
@Zeroth

Thank you for clarifying what the spells do, I was unaware. As for the reason for the genderswap, the reason for it is that Mourningstar wants to be as far away from their old life as possible. They are trying to completely reinvent themselves as a person and they believe that by choosing both a non corporeal form and a completely different gender they can distance themselves from their past self. If you want I can change the background so that Mourningstar was always a female. I just wanted to do something interesting.
