I do agree with Yandere's sentiment that words not wording workingly do be a problem this time of year.

Scratch that, place your bets on polymarket.

Looks like I'll be working on memorial day weekend. And no, this does not mean place any bets on polymarket.

due to a typo on my part I was nearly convinced I owed the IRS nearly $3000 in excess taxes this year.

Bio

-There will be delays in replies. Largely due to working overtime, voluntary obligations; other RPs and online-things may compete for my attention.

'Bout me:
Started RPing (badly) back in '05, mostly doing nation-RPs with an emphasis on technology and strategy, later edging out to character-espionage and military-tactics before doing "less serious" character roleplays that were outside of the 2005-2008 continuity.

That's when I went to Dead-Frontier, and found the RP community there, joined a clan, did some pretty good roleplays and pretty much loosened-up my online-personality. When the clan-leader decided to move her RPs here, most of the clan followed.

Took a course in technical-writing back in '08, so now I may sometimes use the semicolon correctly.

In 2010 I dusted off the old nation-RP continuity I had, doing a few hetelia-esque RP-shenanigans there..

RP-Habbits: I tend to geek-out on little technical-details, and sometimes infer how those details would impact the background of the roleplay. Great for world-building, not so great when you had a perfectly good plotline and I just MacGyver it off the rails (though I usually er to the side of amusement, sometimes it creates very grim side-stories).

Neptune is just vain.

Also, Jaune *DID* finally back-off when he thought Weiss was happier without him, he just went into silent-berserker-mode when he found-out she was not in fact happy (and confronted Neptune for it). For a person who just recently discovered his spine about 9 chapters ago, this says ALOT about how much he cares about Weiss's well-being.
-I predict he will make efforts to avoid antagonizing Weiss in future chapters.

Afterwards, he wasn't after Weiss at all (that or I missed it because I'm still trying to block Jaune in a dress).

In short, Jaune is slowly pulling his head out from under his own ass.
Well, this song worked its way back into my brain...

A man to his word.

Also, the Weiss-Jaune ship is back in port due to stormy seas.
-Although Pyrrha is now with him.

And no, we aren't forgetting the Ruby/Jaune pairing, yet.
I see your US/USSR war and raise you the Sino-Soviet theater.

Edit: Wait.. mechanical physics don't work? Hmmm... that's a deal-breaker for me.
-Kinda hard to be a survivalist when your knife refuses to open and your bone-joints seize up and that set of bellows you call a lung refuses to respirate.
Pedro W. Mendez?
-Mmmm... no. Not the worst... He's actually pretty polite to those he respects.
Although when it comes to openly cussing at other characters, this guy wins.

Oh... right... Alexandria Sheppard. My spy-character...
-Brutal bathroom-stall murder followed by stealing the victim's face.
+To be fair, she was trying to escape from contractual slavery at the time.

--I've also had an alien dismember and eat his human-girlfriend's father. But again, to be fair, her father was a crotchety dick with a shotgun.

Non-character based things:
1. Overthrew a nation by capturing their nuclear warheads and detonating them on their own soil, then brought their leader's head back on a stick. To be fair, the guy had it coming.
We call it plan magenta.

2. Started a revolution by kidnapping a sapient weapon-platform that happened to look like a little girl.
-Also, brainwashed the weapon to fight for our team.

3. Started a few [total thermonuclear] wars via forged diplomatic communications.

4. RPed a guy getting steamrolled under some tank-treads in a fallout-RP.
-In same RP my character also straight-up murdered a peeping-tom shortly before serving 'milkshakes' and 'cheeseburgers' to a lactose-intolerant woman.
M'kay, I finally managed to give Kessa something we can work with... yay?
1. That is to the almost-sole purview of the Commander-in-chief, or anyone smart enough to hardwire their way through a PALS and arm one (in which case shit has to be bad enough that such a breech in security would go unpunished).

2. America signed a 'no-first-strike' policy. Meaning we'd need to have probable cause to believe that someone is fielding non-conventional weapons. Whether these weapons are directed against other Americans or anyone in general is up for open interpretation (but in short, simply using them is usually grounds for invasion).

3. Even so, we utilize a counter-force concept of Nuclear Utilization Targeting Strategy. So quite likely a limited response in-kind. An example is developing/deploying MOAB shortly after the WTC collapse.
Inception-moment:
TOS-1 Burritimo.

Our songs didn't suck. Your sound card/speakers just can't deal with it.
-Good level for Halloween, reminds you of thriller

Remember those DOS-dots of loading for DooM? Well...

We pity Jaune because HE KNOWS Weiss doesn't like him, he just can't stop idolizing her and move-on with Pyrrha.
-Which actually sounds sorta creepy

Was that ever a serious question? I wasn't aware. And I would tend to disagree. Sure, her Semblance may be a big advantage, but knowing how to fight is just as important as being physically strong. Otherwise, you might as well say that, for example, that Sonic would be useless if it weren't for his speed, or that Cyclops would be useless if it weren't for his eye laser. Does she run the risk of having an over reliance on her Semblance? Yes. But at the same time, she has the quick thinking and smarts to use both her semblance and weapons effectively in a fight to win. She had to have had something besides a cool ability to win the Mistral tournament, presumably, so that shows that she has some other traits that must make her the kind of fighter we've been hearing about, I dunno, just my piece. Agree or not if you want.

Well. to be fair, Cyclops is also batman-prepared with a colt M1911 in his desk drawer, just in case he wakes up under attack, and somehow doesn't have his powers... or just wants to kill his brother/clone/girlfriend (which are all p. much immune to his powers).
-Course, he didn't quite count on his girlfriend paralyzing him. (He's also one of the few X-men that actually knows how to fly an SR-71, or a space-shuttle)
Ellri, Kessa and I have decided to clone you, from a jellyfish.

Not having unsubscribed topic yet, we noticed the statement. Ever fond of facts, we'll give ya some. The only elements not frozen at 59 Kelvin are: Helium, Hydrogen, Neon, Oxygen, Fluorine. They freeze respectively at 1.1K, 14.175K, 24.703K, 50.5K, 53.63K. Oh, and the only gases at 59 Kelvin are: Helium, Hydrogen, Neon. You need at least 90.33 Kelvin to have gaseous Oxygen.

Ellri, half-pressure also tips the melting/boiling-point some.
-Oh, right, reduced pressure LOWERS the melting/boiling points, wiki is decidedly less helpful than Nova/PBS at the quest for absolute-zero*.
