I do agree with Yandere's sentiment that words not wording workingly do be a problem this time of year.

Scratch that, place your bets on polymarket.

Looks like I'll be working on memorial day weekend. And no, this does not mean place any bets on polymarket.

due to a typo on my part I was nearly convinced I owed the IRS nearly $3000 in excess taxes this year.

Bio

-There will be delays in replies. Largely due to working overtime, voluntary obligations; other RPs and online-things may compete for my attention.

'Bout me:
Started RPing (badly) back in '05, mostly doing nation-RPs with an emphasis on technology and strategy, later edging out to character-espionage and military-tactics before doing "less serious" character roleplays that were outside of the 2005-2008 continuity.

That's when I went to Dead-Frontier, and found the RP community there, joined a clan, did some pretty good roleplays and pretty much loosened-up my online-personality. When the clan-leader decided to move her RPs here, most of the clan followed.

Took a course in technical-writing back in '08, so now I may sometimes use the semicolon correctly.

In 2010 I dusted off the old nation-RP continuity I had, doing a few hetelia-esque RP-shenanigans there..

RP-Habbits: I tend to geek-out on little technical-details, and sometimes infer how those details would impact the background of the roleplay. Great for world-building, not so great when you had a perfectly good plotline and I just MacGyver it off the rails (though I usually er to the side of amusement, sometimes it creates very grim side-stories).

Nothing like a good case of mistaken identity.
Simple contemporary story done well, then?

Or a bunch of ideas tossed in a blender and fed to a honey-badger on crack?

When I say "slip," I get "what's a slip?" So I'm hoping throwing "woman''s" in there clears up some initial confusion.

It's that thing that goes under a dress to keep thinner fabrics from leaving not enough to the imagination in the winter.

Because long under-pants for women? In the dark ages?

I'm buying a Guy Fawkes mask and going as V. It'll be awesome too, because I want to go one year and just hide my actual identity for one day.

Good luck keeping in-character, all that alliteration may alienate your allies.
For racing spacecraft, you'll need to focus on conservation of delta-V (total available change in velocity, AKA: Total engine burn-time multiplied by acceleration) to allow for course-corrections (because space is big, and there's a lot of crap in space that can cause solar-windage and drift off-course). An interesting bit of physics is to pretty much power-dive at a planet at full-burn to improve delta-V (as you are shedding mass while gaining momentum) and aerobraking to cheaply bleed excess velocity so you don't land at your target-window like a bird from a windex-commercial.

Also, a lot of things can kill your delta-V rating, stowaways, particle-buildups, engine damage/malfunction, and propellant-leak to name a few. Oh, and collisions hitting stuff at nearly the speed of light is bad... like, one kiloton of TNT of impact for every gram that hits you.

This said, about 90% of your ship's mass will be propellant, not living quarters, and not structural components, just propellant. Your ship will accelerate exactly ten times better when empty than full.

The other issue is acceleration, as you may need to change your velocity 'quickly', and by that, I mean precisely and if you cut the burn too soon, or start too late, you'll crash and die like someone who took a second too long to turn the wheel during a powerslide into a rail.
Well, in regards to the OP, I did have an Future-Tech spacefairing nation-RP that pretty much was a bio-engineered post-fallout race with similar qualities.
(~6 years ago, reason I still remember it is because the forum still exists and I had to copy-paste some technology developed for that so I could do a quick RP that also occurred in space [they needed a ship that didn't break the laws of physics])
-Made planning long-distance voyages... interesting. Also, redecorating on a mass-budget is easy if you have a welding-torch. Refitting them for a space-suit was always a challenge, though.

As for how I would deal with it, I would ask that person (Do they want me to succeed with someone else? Do they want help? Do they wish to pursue a relationship [fake or real]?) and hope they would respect my own wishes, as their friend.
-Any character would likely try to be equally pragmatic and anti-dramatic. But in my experience, shit just happens.

Also, if it were a biological thing, chances are society has adapted over time to deal with it (not entirely smoothly, but life would continue without pause). But since emergence is a biological thing that occurs to increase the breeding population -because extinction is bad- society would try to strongly assimilate the transgender person ASAP.

I read this post like four times and I have *literally* no idea what you're arguing.

Y'know, that's the third time this week I've gotten a response like that.

... am I having a stroke?

Probably indirectly, but yes. Build awareness for a campaigning group, by which she directly profits both financially (more money), politically (more influence), and personally (more weed).Regardless of the specific motivations, it's absolutely a ploy. It can be noble, I'm okay with that; looser regulations, hey, you know I love that. The moral high-horse strongarm thing though..... not crazy about that. It's pure grandstanding and we shouldn't reward it, but we almost certainly will.

Well, the thing is that the DEA funds itself entirely through licensing-fees of legal dealers (like the one being discussed) and due to the escalation of the war on drugs and stringent regulations, less companies are out there and the DEA's budget has grown several thousand fold each year solely to burn weeds. Literal fucking weeds.

Care to guess what that does to her company? And every other American-legal drug-company?

Flamelord said Also, I think Roman rolls in so much Atlas stuff because Atlas is the country with all the tech, so naturally that's what he'd use.

Atlas is also the same country the Schnee dust corporation is. A country known for its... less than reputable business-partners.

What better way to wipe-out the competition? Than by removing the source of most of their power?

What happens to semblance-abilities after the dust has dried-up?

What will the Grimm do?

Atlas will provide salvation (it's in the perfect position to do-so), but for a price.

-Also, previously as noted, Weiss and Blake are both named after colors (German and old-English), which would be odd if that tradition were to be a human-exclusive of the human/faunas conflict; more likely it had more to do with the Grimm-war... which must've been ongoing while they were born.
