I do agree with Yandere's sentiment that words not wording workingly do be a problem this time of year.

Scratch that, place your bets on polymarket.

Looks like I'll be working on memorial day weekend. And no, this does not mean place any bets on polymarket.

due to a typo on my part I was nearly convinced I owed the IRS nearly $3000 in excess taxes this year.

-There will be delays in replies. Largely due to working overtime, voluntary obligations; other RPs and online-things may compete for my attention.

'Bout me:
Started RPing (badly) back in '05, mostly doing nation-RPs with an emphasis on technology and strategy, later edging out to character-espionage and military-tactics before doing "less serious" character roleplays that were outside of the 2005-2008 continuity.

That's when I went to Dead-Frontier, and found the RP community there, joined a clan, did some pretty good roleplays and pretty much loosened-up my online-personality. When the clan-leader decided to move her RPs here, most of the clan followed.

Took a course in technical-writing back in '08, so now I may sometimes use the semicolon correctly.

In 2010 I dusted off the old nation-RP continuity I had, doing a few hetelia-esque RP-shenanigans there..

RP-Habbits: I tend to geek-out on little technical-details, and sometimes infer how those details would impact the background of the roleplay. Great for world-building, not so great when you had a perfectly good plotline and I just MacGyver it off the rails (though I usually er to the side of amusement, sometimes it creates very grim side-stories).

Ah, but think about the possibility to pick up chicks in the rain with a train!
Eh? Stay off your precious roads? Sounds like you're just being greedy. The deer use it too.

It's not the smartest thing to do, but it makes for the easiest walking in some pretty remote locations.

Plus, they tend to ignore what a high-speed de-rail is like from 20 feet from the track.

There's also a slight chance they may or may-not be retired hoboes.
-Not sure how they plan on loading themselves AND an deer onto a moving boxcar, but sure would be fun to watch.

Whether or not Jaune is gonna be awesome

I have a feeling Jaune will kick Neo's ass-cheeks in a dance-off.
-Almost immediately recognized her technique, knew Yang was screwed from the start.

The only people who use an umbrella in combat are people who rely on grace over brute mauling, and Yang's only real strength has been mauling.
-All of Yang's injuries were pretty much "Stop hitting yourself". (also, in about 30 seconds, people will say Neo is Torchwick's daughter, and a shameless panty-thief)

Jaune, meanwhile, has strength of limp noodle, can't use against him what he don't got.

/me comes to the conclusion that Kidd has as many problems understanding boys as boys have at understanding girls.

In school, everything is simple and straightforward, except girls.

Or, are you wondering why none of the main-cast has developed a love-interest in Cardin yet?

Asura said If Jaune shows up with his team to fight the grimm off with team RWBY and he and Ren are actually relevant in the fight I think Monty will have won me over.

Quote button not working for me.

anyways, you may as well start making cosplay-selfies now in hopes of being hired as a guest voice-actress and be an official stalker/co-worker of Monty.

Well then, this little break, much less useful than the one about Dust. I was hoping to see something about culture and stuff, not vague generalizations that only really reinforce the point that the world is a scary place beyond the walls of the Kingdoms. Oh well, till next week then.

Pretty much it confirms there are people who, for some reason or another, decide to live outside these fortified cities (like Ruby's entire family).
-And like most of Ruby's family, they tend to disappear overnight without explanation. But disappear from who?

As evil as Roland may seem to be, I don't think his aim is to destroy the one thing keeping the nasties away from him.

flamelord said I got the feeling was that most of the people 'disappearing', got brutally murdered by Grimm. Or raiders.

Yeah, pretty much lends credence to my belief that that spiel he gave to the White Fang was playing to the crowd. The White Fang want to overthrow the current order and get revenge on everyone who wronged them. The plan hits a seriously flaw if the army that Cinder is building doesn't take the armaments that Torchwick can provide. So he has to get them on his side. If Vale collapsed then all his wealth would be worthless after all, though I could see him going for the 'Robber King' schtick.

Also reinforces the belief that The White Fang and Cinder's group will inevitably backstab each other on the verge of victory or shortly thereafter, allowing the heroes to swoop in and save the day while they're divided and fighting amongst themselves..

We've been wrong before.

Ironwood is a good guy, right? and Roman is a bad guy?

I've already voiced my concern on "where all of Roman's stuff is coming from'.
-I'm set that Weiss's dad is a crooked-ass gun-running griefer.

My guess is the virus is what's blocking Ruby's cell-phone signal. Y'know, since it's in THE communications-hub of Vale.
-This would also make it impossible for Roman to warn everyone of the double-cross/grimmvasion.

Checkmate.

This is the storytelling version of the Polish-Blitz strategy to chess. Obvious only to people who have used it before and failed, and countered easily enough by simply doing the same thing your opponent does. It's only hard when you want to win without stooping to your opponent's tactics.

...

How far can we rocket Jaune's locker with Zwei inside? Since we already know where they are.

...

Also... ALL THE TEACHERS/HUNTRESSES HAVE LEFT VALE ON 'MISSIONS'.

^ Blackwater and Titan Corporation no longer exist. When they did exist they were private security contractors that operated solely on the license of the United States federal government, primarily in an assistance role in Bush's war in Iraq. Businesses, even security contractors, are more accountable to the public than any government, and hundreds of thousands of times less powerful.

Still exists, just as a different name, like Academi.
