I do agree with Yandere's sentiment that words not wording workingly do be a problem this time of year.

Scratch that, place your bets on polymarket.

Looks like I'll be working on memorial day weekend. And no, this does not mean place any bets on polymarket.

due to a typo on my part I was nearly convinced I owed the IRS nearly $3000 in excess taxes this year.

-There will be delays in replies. Largely due to working overtime, voluntary obligations; other RPs and online-things may compete for my attention.

'Bout me:
Started RPing (badly) back in '05, mostly doing nation-RPs with an emphasis on technology and strategy, later edging out to character-espionage and military-tactics before doing "less serious" character roleplays that were outside of the 2005-2008 continuity.

That's when I went to Dead-Frontier, and found the RP community there, joined a clan, did some pretty good roleplays and pretty much loosened-up my online-personality. When the clan-leader decided to move her RPs here, most of the clan followed.

Took a course in technical-writing back in '08, so now I may sometimes use the semicolon correctly.

In 2010 I dusted off the old nation-RP continuity I had, doing a few hetelia-esque RP-shenanigans there..

RP-Habbits: I tend to geek-out on little technical-details, and sometimes infer how those details would impact the background of the roleplay. Great for world-building, not so great when you had a perfectly good plotline and I just MacGyver it off the rails (though I usually er to the side of amusement, sometimes it creates very grim side-stories).

Not seeing that at all. It tells me you made that post 1 month ago and the last time you were on was 1 month ago.
Looks like a job for printscreen and upload.
I"m sure there would be a minority of feral and/or uncultured low-brow vampires pretty much ruining the elitist image for the rest of them... likely to get exterminated simply because of their annoyance.
The clock appears to be askew. O_o EDIT: It says I posted this^ one month ago, when in fact it was more like 3 seconds ago.
That would be the thread start-date. -I'm seeing 13 hrs ago.
Summary of changes: 1. Salvesh patrol replaced with a remote outpost or picket, stationary targets in open. 2. Open steppes replaced with a lightly built-up formation of geography complete with valleys and irrigation-ditchwork. Still waiting for others to post. Seuss may want to get something pointy and jab our delinquents.
If I continue to make IC posts, will the thread continue on its own inertia?
Well, we are just a recon-patrol to get an accurate fix on the enemy and their strength, adding a few Puma IFVs to our immediate rear and an armored train for a mobile fire support base at the nearest subway-entrance/tunnel should be plenty of ground-based support on our side. As for the enemy, I'm sure they've got at least a pair of IFVs (mostly for SPAAG duties) and a troop-transporter or even a tank behind the next rise. So I'm not sure volunteering for the 'glory' of checking their dead is going to be such a great idea if it's a omni-way killzone (basin/valley). Best let the german squad do that. Making the crystal-formations more expansive (or building an abandoned surface-settlement out of it) could be a plausible excuse, and use of long-range plunging artillery-fire would make sense (heck, hitting a crystal with a 155mm shell... ridiculous amount of non-magnetic splinters).
Dump some of the alien-tech from the Bolo series on them, that or borrow from the more "serious" animes (the ones where they at least bother to explain a hand-waved technology). In that way, one could use somewhat-familiar terms and explain the resemblances to the fact that the Grathnik have influenced popular culture "just in case" so the could on occasion crash-land at some fangirl's house with some prospect of getting native-assistance.
> I always feel comfortable having a pair of A10s loitering in the rear waiting for a call from the FAC. That would be great. :D [Support Inbound.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ZIgMP28RXE) -BTW, those planes have already been decommissioned, theoretically for sale. (Main reason is that the gun never really fired a proper HE shell for strafing soft targets, just stupidly-fast [and expensive] tungsten and DU slugs that were barely effective tank-killers back in the '80s [the new protections against top-attack munitions as well as improved MANPADS has made the exploitive-nature of aircraft-guns against tanks an inefficient specialization of resources) Although I was thinking [helicopter-gunships](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jdJZsD-LCwU) for some reason. -I'm also still fond of the idea of using an armored train as a forward mobile fire-support base for our operations. [despite issues](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bOvJbSOEtZM).
