-There will be delays in replies. Largely due to working overtime, voluntary obligations; other RPs and online-things may compete for my attention.
'Bout me:
Started RPing (badly) back in '05, mostly doing nation-RPs with an emphasis on technology and strategy, later edging out to character-espionage and military-tactics before doing "less serious" character roleplays that were outside of the 2005-2008 continuity.
That's when I went to Dead-Frontier, and found the RP community there, joined a clan, did some pretty good roleplays and pretty much loosened-up my online-personality. When the clan-leader decided to move her RPs here, most of the clan followed.
Took a course in technical-writing back in '08, so now I may sometimes use the semicolon correctly.
In 2010 I dusted off the old nation-RP continuity I had, doing a few hetelia-esque RP-shenanigans there..
RP-Habbits: I tend to geek-out on little technical-details, and sometimes infer how those details would impact the background of the roleplay. Great for world-building, not so great when you had a perfectly good plotline and I just MacGyver it off the rails (though I usually er to the side of amusement, sometimes it creates very grim side-stories).

@Rhona W However, could we keep going ourselves with it as a less-than-canon/canon-pending Heavenfall-RP; at least until the end of the first mission?
Granted, this'll need to mean your character gets additional applique plot-armor since harming the main/GM-Player-Character would likely cause some sort of time paradox.
The other option being a hard board-reset and non-canon thread with the same players and characters performing the same mission. Kinda already have a list of folks willing to conduct such a train-wreck (not myself, @Massasauga doesn't trust me at the controls ever since the last time I dragged them into a mech-RP).
Granted, this'll need to mean your character gets additional applique plot-armor since harming the main/GM-Player-Character would likely cause some sort of time paradox.
The other option being a hard board-reset and non-canon thread with the same players and characters performing the same mission. Kinda already have a list of folks willing to conduct such a train-wreck (not myself, @Massasauga doesn't trust me at the controls ever since the last time I dragged them into a mech-RP).
I'll probably delay my entry into the RP, perhaps I'll focus on shattered steel to make sure that side of things keeps rolling.

This is likely where I'm going to start portraying the ISL as being a bit... more hurtful.
-@massasauga is stabbing me with a fork for that pun.
But the working tl;dr is: Surprise pre-sighted rooftop-mortar stonks to drive the infantry support into buildings that are pre-wired for demolition, and setting off some fougassi of deployable minefields behind us so reinforcements won't be coming too soon.
This be where the Quds-trained ISL comes out to play dirty.
And the only way more dues-ex-machina help is coming soon will be if they airdrop it.

I feel like not getting briefed over the 4 hour RTB is almost comically "No time to explain/I said, no time to explain" because none of the en-route facilities were secure enough is a very Army way things can go.
Granted, it could be planners stalling for time to get the specifics.
