Current 10+ years of an RP idea, finally finished, on 10.10.2025. Goodnight Raven Squad, you were the best, wildest, most silly near future SOF RP that lived on the guild, and you got a worthy send off :)

Bio

I've RP'd for the best part of over 15 years now here on the Guild, and particularly like military settings, both contemporary, past and near future. I have even dabbled in a little more experimental RPs, as well as created a plethora of 1x1s over my time in the guild. I like creating RPs with a distinct flavour- and often shift between narrative-led RPs to semi-randomised plots. I've been more a GM lately than a player, and don't really lean into fandom- instead, exploring my own universes lifting themes from other source material.

My main interests are military-themed, near-future RPs, with a focus on technology. But I'm beginning to push what that RP idea looks like- taking inspiration from lots of media and focussing on the fun, indulgent side of RP, whilst also exploring the lows and emotional side.

Raven Squad is a project over seven years in the making, and focusses on a class-based, eccentric yet half-grounded near future special forces team that acts as a response team where you can't send any special forces team in. It's incredibly dumb, incredibly loose, and yet, has delivered some of my favourite plot points in RPG. A brainless action flick a la John Wick and Kingsman meets a complex thriller with a fun left turn in it, Raven has been the culmination of over a decade of loving special forces RPG, gaming influences and other silliness in a package that has provided players with something quite different to a normal military themed RPG. While at an end, this is an RP that is a signature- it's silly as hell, takes itself barely seriously, and is what peak fun military RPG to me should be.

Delta Hyper is a love letter to Wipeout, F1's Drive to Survive (Netflix) and contemporary Formula One, with influences from solarpunk, cyberpunk, transhumanism and other posthumanist concepts. An RP that follows pilots in their ups and downs, it's a story that hasn't got me playing an actual character, but framing the camera at each pilot (played by others), and presenting it as if it were a documentary. Lifting elements from TTRPG, this is a Racing RPG like no other and no parallel exists- using dice rolls and randomisation, with a stats-driven system to generate race results, rather than actually RPing the races, players experience the fast-paced, dynamic world of anti-gravity racing. This means that come Qualifying and Race, the results are genuinely a surprise to everyone- and based on decisions made through dilemmas and decisions made between races. Friendships, rivalry, the glamour and even a little political undertone play out in 2094, in a colourful, utopian future that focuses on the fight to take first place.

Then there's Tactical Breach Wizards: Fireteam Hex. First use of any set IP as a formal setting, this is an RP that offers a darker mirror to Raven Squad, focussing on the other side of the equation- unlikely heroes in an uncomfortable position. I don't normally do fantasy, but the world, the lore, the feeling of the characters and the ability to write a comedy just was too difficult to pass up. An RP that focuses on a group running away from a variety of threats as wanted mercenary wizards in the middle of a post-revolution, Eastern-Europe adjacent 1990s to present Polavia.

roleplayerguild.com/topics/197399-dis…

Lastly, Dispatch: Heroes of Claremont. This is another IP-adjacent world, albeit drawing on a different setting and a new cast of superheroes. As my "first" proper superhero RP, this combines workplace comedy, a Storyteller-lite system and a fun, diverse, and large cast together in a dynamic, diverse setting.

I'm pretty flexible and try and get back to people on ideas and responses, but sometimes, I may become very busy and it will take some time till I am un-busy. I aim to clear posts within a week!

"Ahah- I thought you would ask that, in particular around Tyrant. We've installed a set of water jets on the back legs of the suit for limited propulsion, and the fact that the suit is already sealed and reinforced like a atmospheric diving suit, means he can walk on the surface of the ocean- which around Grimsey and that area would be around 200m deep until the coastline. The other three of you have a lot of weight as well you should remember, but we have a Submersible that the Kreiegsmarine have adapted for you three to cater for the weight- Tyrant here will be on the outside and using a set of inflated equipment to remain a relative buoyancy in transit, since you will be at least 100m deep in the water. Tyrant won't be able to surface at the same point as you due to his mass still bogging you down at a specific depth, so he'll carry on moving on the sea floor, whilst you use the submersible to hit land and move from there, One of our U-Boats, U-235, will deploy the submersible- I do not know exactly what the nature of your operation is surrounding it, but I do know that it is critical to your war efforts." Ludwig said, looking over, as Felix, or Tyrant, inspected his legs.
"I see...I've dived before, when I was with the Italians, it happens to be the only thing they can actually do and not fuck up without running. They have some unique skills in underwater demolition." Tyrant said, as he looked over to the rest, already aware that they were almost ready to go. Vampire looked over at his two flamethrower nozzles, securing then to his armor as he put his visor down, checking his gauntlets as he felt the suit come alive, as he moved his feet, feeling good to be back in.
Somewhere above Vagar, Faroe Islands
1900 Hours
26th November, 1943

The Ju52 came in, reminding the team, particularly Sturm Adler and Vampire, of a beginning to all of this.
"We are ninety seconds from landing! Our forces have seized control of Vagar Airfield, three weeks ago- the runway has only just been repaired, so we might have a bumpy landing!" The pilot said over the radio, as Vampire, faceplate up, looked to Sturm Adler.
"Brilliant." He simply said, as they came down, the plane carrying on the 505th and their equipment, all the soldiers suited up. The plane landed comfortably on the dirt runway, the snow dotted across the island a sign that winter was coming. It hadn't snowed intensely here on this island, but there was some dotted around. The plane slowed down, the noise of FW190s and Me109s, as well as even a few Arado 234s and a pair of Me 262s, which were the pinnacle of the Lufftwaffe in that time.

The black-painted Junker aircraft came to a halt, as Vampire got the large rear door, opening it up- aware that this plane was also carrying lots of supplies for the newly-constructed base of operations for the Lufftwaffe, as Tyrant moved through, the noise of planes and lorries audible, as a truck pulled up, with the driver opening the door and saluting the seven foot tall mechanized beast that was Tyrant.
"Sturmbannführer, with me- we are to take you to the docks right away, I have information that your equipment for your operation is there, Sir." Tyrant heard, as he looked over, speaking through his microphone.
"Good. Squad, in the truck. We move out." Tyrant said, as he moved around, the open-topped lorry a little hard for Tyrant to clamber aboard onto, but the new system in his legs made him a little more able to clamber, and he was first on, barely being able to get up as he moved to the front, sitting on the cab since the seats looked a little unsuitable. Vampire took a seat in the rear, as the rest of the squad followed. The sea was visible from the runway, and as they set off, the noise of other lorries, and planes roaring over, as well as work on hangars and operations centres was keenly at work. They were driven down the road, onto the dirt as they headed to Sandavágur- where a rudimentary U-Boat operations centre had arisen, and U-235 was moored up there. The day was coming to an end, and the wind was chilling, though none of the soldiers who were armored up would feel it. The bleak and snow-dotted rural terrain of the Faeroe Islands had seen the Allied bases scattered everywhere be abandoned, when the German invasion force landed- the predominantly American forces finding that they were completely inadequately armed, and that navally, that had been cut off. They were starved out, and then taken as POWs, off in mainland Europe- with their bases left behind, and used to house mainly German and Norwegian Axis soldiers now. The bases were dotted across the landscape, as they drove through the village, Tyrant looking out. It was -5 here already, and while the sunset was glorious, the temprature was going to drop even more. Ice was on the lorry, and on the roads, so the driver was taking it carefully, as Tyrant caught a glimpse of the submarine.
"That's it. Right there." Tyrant said, raising his metal arm at it, as he pointed out the sub's bridge, poking above the water at a small concrete jetty. The truck stopped at the security clearance, and then drove in, the place clearly unrprotected from any air-raids but they didn't need to be, when the Me262s and other German fighters had completely crushed the American bombers and fighters underfoot- and the fact that many bombers suffered in the cold on the ground meant that bombing runs were suprisingly infrequent to reach this sort of place now, let alone Norway or the Northern Scottish isles, where similar German installations arose.

They stopped by a few tents, where Vampire disembarked first, faceplate down, all the men aware that these were the men of the 505th. The emblem of a Knight on horseback sat on the armored soldiers' suits with an SS symbol below it, the emblem small yet reminding others that this indeed, was the unit that they all feared. Tyrant looked over, seeing one particular naval officer look over, and move out of a tent, as Tyrant knew what he was looking at.
"Captain, I hear this is your vessel? You know enough about who I am, and these men too, so let's keep it simple. We hear you are our transport."
"Aye Sturmbannführer, it is indeed. We have quarters for you and storage- the submersible has been loaded in our torpedo bay, and all of the equipment we were sent. It seems rather strange.."
"We know how to deal with it, Captain. Now, when are we leaving, and when will our exact orders come through?"
"We leave tonight, in three hours. Your exact orders will come through in approximately the time we leave too, via our Enigma machine- though this will be two-pronged. There is a Long-Range Radar Installation on the island of Grimsey, north of the main Icelandic island, and we need to eliminate this before we bring any bombers in to keep the Allied fighters on the ground and blind- and the dam overlooking Akureyri also of significance, since it houses a combined Hydroelectric and experimental Geothermal plant that the Allies have used to power this island, and when there's tens of thousands of soldiers reliant on electric heating, it would be a good idea to destroy it, ja? We arrive in two days at 0400 Hours- I hear that no regular unit could do this, so we were instructed to have you to bear, since this is your type of show- Tyrant, could I see your face, it would be more comfortable to give orders.."
"You wouldn't want to look at the face under this, Captain. It is mere convenience that there is a good layer of metal between me and you. Let me not advocate to the High Command back in Kiel that a certain U-Boat Captain asked questions of circumstance. You are on a need to know basis." Tyrant simply said, as Vampire looked over.
"Believe me, Captain. Really, not a good idea. Besides, that would just spoil the mystery? The seven foot mechanized beast that from North Africa to Moscow has turned Allied soldiers to whitened ghosts? Look, we'll get our quarters sorted out, and since there's a few other SS officers coming as well in a few minutes, perhaps you'll have to make your guess of who it is that we are. But you know that'd be foolish." Vampire said, as Tyrant looked over to the ship, chuckling through comms as he looked to the rest.
"Well...fine, my men will get you aboard. We are running a skeleton crew, so there's i one triple set of bunks for three of you, and one officer's room. You can sort out who gets what- I will leave you to your own devices." The Captain said, as Tyrant nodded as best as he could, leading the way as he headed to the entrance of the U-Boat, hoping the rest followed.
"Sturm Adler, you can have the officer's room. But we're keeping our armor in there- and that guy, what a bastard. Good thing there's other officers coming aboard, they won't have a clue who exactly we are. Some people deserve to know, others, like him, are too questionable, and perhaps better embedded in the mystery of myself." Tyrant said, moving up, as he saw one of the men point down, the cramped U-Boat complicated by the fact that Tyrant was tall, wide and overall, large. He barely fitted inside the hatch, and barely managed to move through, the tight space almost impossible to navigate, as it took him minutes to move, every step careful as he still bashed into most of the metal railings and sometimes, was forced to squeeze up, the exoskeleton coping as he was bent over most of the time. He saw the rooms designated for them, and opened the hatch, already moving into Sturm Adler's room, as the size of it was pretty significant. There was just one bed, but there was probably room to at least keep their armor around, for the moment being. Since this had a skeleton crew at the moment, it seemed like that would work for them- and as Tyrant secured his armor against the wall, and clambered out, grabbing his officer's cap as he lept out, he was already off to his bunk, aware that he had to grab himself the top- where he would feel least seasick.
Not necessarily- call it a part-revival, part revamp of the RP.There's a new chapter that's been begun in the RP, and to be honest, it has a couple of people. Hence the recruitment drive- to see if anyone else is interested in getting involved and helping it get back on the rails, as the plot as well as a lot of detail has been sunk into it.
Want to be involved in a semi-realistic military RP, set in the near future? Like the idea that you're up against a superior force for once? Or want to be a helicopter pilot rather than boots-on-the-ground Special Forces? Hephaestus may be for you- and you can make a CS and ask away any queries that you have, in our OOC here!
"Shit..watch, look." Andrew said, looking over to the man that was approaching the KSVK. They hadn't seen them yet, but something looked astray.
"They know about the truck. I'll nail that one fucker moving to the rifle, get a shot on the SAM truck's engine block, then wheel, then anything that moves. We have to eliminate all the footmobiles." Andrew said, as he cocked the XM500's box again, the semiautomatic bolt action .50 cal rifle heavy, but a more modern equivalent to the M82A2 of old- this was the newer version, and perhaps a little more compact due to the bullpup design, although not by much. He tracked the head of the man, watching, adjusting the ranging as he took his breath, waiting.
"Wait for my mark...get set." Andrew added, his winter glove on the trigger, as he exhaled slowly, the target and time slowing a tiny fragment as the man was on track. In the right place. There was little to no wind, so the bullets would hit, easy. Andrew's heartbeat was at around 60BPM, and dropping lower, as he felt cold, almost fixated. The bullet sprung from the muzzle break, and the bullet was within the second, in the man's shoulder and then his internals, completely throwing him back as it practically half-ripped off his shoulderblade in the process, and redecorated what was now his internals' living room as open plan. The man went down, and he adjusted, firing again as he took out another man by him, a clean bodyshot of some sorts, as he then waited, catching breath as he watched Nolan fire, and he waited for the interludes. He'd fire at the same time, to minimize the idea that there were two shooters with rifles- he had timed it pretty well prior to this. He adjusted, and saw one of the men run out, using an SVD. He was next, as Andrew adjusted, guessing mentally he was at 605m. And his sight was tallied for about 600, so he gave a good guess that he'd need to give an according drop. The marksman raised his SVD from a crouched position behind a rock wall, but even that wasn't enough as he tried to pull the trigger, to supress at least where he guessed they were. Andrew had fired first- and the fifty hit the top of one of the rocks, almost disintegrating one of the tops of the rocks as it then emerged and the round entered the man's neck, pretty much leaving nothing at all.
"Keep up the shots, Nolan- call out when you see nothing left!" Andrew said, aware that they were almost done, as he adjusted himself, looking for more targets down the high-magnified optic.

(Short post- it doesn't need to be too long from my end, as the last few posts have been long, and the next will be longer.)
"Hmm....must be something more to it than that, surely. It must be like our Heavy Water, the things we have in Norway currently, at Rijukan I hear there's a whole station, even I don't have that high a clearance, but they are making quantum leaps in the production of it that we have taken over from the Norwegians." Felix said, sitting up a little, as he drunk on with his beer.
"And that sounds like a...well, flirt if I ever heard one. If you go for it Rudolph, I would say that whilst she's a wild card, you would have a good chance." Hans said, looking over, chuckling a little, as the night carried on, the bar a little lively and active. That was, until a car came in, marked with Wehrmacht markings, and a single officer came in.

Felix recognised the man- he was from Peenmunde, and he looked over, aware that this was about something else than a drink.
"Sturmbannführer, with me- I have a request from Doctor to bring you back to the base, as you are to be immediately redeployed. Sir." The officer said, saluting to Felix, as he stood up, looking to the rest of his men, as he looked over.
"Redeployment? Ah, excellent. Come on lads, let's go." Felix said, as he looked to the others, walking out of the bar and into the cold wintery day outside, the snow not yet fallen yet the autumn subsiding slowly to colder and colder weather. Clambering into the back of the Kubelwagen, the car pulled away once the team was aboard, leaving for the Research Base.

A few minutes later, and they were in. It was still the same place, after all, it hadn't changed much lately. Walking into the main facility centre, Felix recognized Dr Ludwig, already aware that this was the chief of the engineering team that made it possible to get all this equipment operational and running. The evening was beginning to pass, and it was getting darker, and colder.
"Ludwig, good to see you- apparently we've been called out to deal with a special threat, something to do with Iceland. I assume you heard this too?" Felix said, as he gave a gesture for them to follow him to the armory, where their suits were.
"Yes, indeed Your armor has been winterized and adapted for colder climates. The temprature in Iceland is dropping, due to a cold front- and it's expected to plunge to -30, so you need armor and equipment that will deal with it. Tyrant's is already suitable due to it's sealed nature and existing climate control, but for the rest of you, you might find your armor is more snug than usual to cater for it." The engineer said, as they headed in.
"Now, Felix, I understand that your armor was more than adequate, though you did have issues. I have fitted a much more robust self-standing feature, so that if the armor fell over on you, you would be able to pick yourself up, due to the enhanced design. I have also designed a far more direct-impact option for your 40mm launcher- firing 128 tungsten fragments as a high velocity, high spread weapon. Practically turns the MPX into a automatic shotgun with a range of around...well, 200m. It may come in more handy for closer quarters." He said, looking over to the armor, as he noted the camoflage on it.
"HEDP, Incendiary and Armor Piercing rounds are all in this canister, and it's as good as ever- the suit shouldn't be different. I hear you insisted on the black to remain, despite the fact that it's a winter operation.."
"Trust me Ludwig, it is fine. Looks fine to me- thanks Doctor." Felix said, taking his officer's cap off, as he sat down by it, having a look at the suit. It had been repaired and brought back to it's good old combat standard, with the armor solid as ever.
"Over here, Hans. Your flamethrowers are the same, and there's a heating system installed on the base of your suit. I've also mounted a more robust set of mechanical gear, so that you can move a little faster. The armor's been repaired since last time, and likewise, not much has been done either. Now, Rudolph, Jakub, if you'd like to follow me, I'll show you yours- Hans, Felix, I hear that you are to be deployed shortly, you are to be briefed fully on the way to Torshavn, where the Kriegsmarine will be responsible for your deployment on Northern Iceland as a part of Operation Zeitgeist's succession from those islands. I hear the Allied Forces have set up a geothermal plant close to the coastline, situated on a dam that holds a huge volume of water in it. Safe to say, the city of Akureyri would be demolished in several key areas, and the geothermal plant is the only reason they still have lights in the air when our Arados and Heinkels fly over to bomb their facilities and structures- so destruction of the dam as well as the shutdown and potential research on how they are getting this geothermal power would be essential. It seems they need your touch on this one." Ludwig said, as bit by bit, Hans suited up, and Felix lept into his armor, already aware that whilst it wasn't in his office, it had been repaired and maintained. He had ditched his jacket, and just had a shirt and his trousers now, as he sat inside, the suit secured and sealed off, as he took his oxygen mask inside, and linked up the HUD. Tyrant's feet juddered forwards, as he checked the MPX in his gauntleted mechanized hands, and cocked the weapon, chambering a large 40mm sized tungsten penetrating round, that would like Ludwig said, splinter into tens of pieces and spray anyone close by with devastating effect.
"Well then. Winter is coming, but I assume we are ready."
I think it's cool, the next post will be joint, not this exact one since it's all up.
Sadly, I did have an exam that had to be done- so the next post will probably be a collab, since I've only got an exam tomorrow then a pretty big break.
Dmitri looked to Willhelm, knowing full well this was Prince Wilhelm Hohenzollern of Germany, the best client he had gone through in a long while. Since his arrival in Europe, he had served a French diplomat, and then the Austro-Hungarian Minister of Finance. He had found work quite easily, surprisingly- he was an outsider, and what he did, he did well at- with this perhaps his biggest job yet, but one that he knew that perhaps Wilhelm respected of Dmitri, knowing that they were both militaristic in some ways. Dmitri did that- he protected people. And as much as he knew that the politics between Russia and Germany had fallen apart in the last few years, things had changed. France wanted to be friendly with Russia, and likewise, Germany found itself isolated and turning away from the Russians. Chancellors had changed, from Bismarck to Caprivi. And Friedrich, despite some illnesses, was doing well. He had his own guards, but Dmitri was Wilhelm's, and knew that at any time, things could change. Men would want him dead, and as much as Dmitri knew that as a lookout for the Okhrana back home, killing the very man he protected would be something he would not want, even if war arose. He was simply just a listener, just a man who maybe once or twice, sent a telegram of what he heard from this member of the German Royal Family.

For now, the theater was filling up. In the carriage, Dmitri looked over to Wilhelm, checking the sword by his side, the Naval Cutlass he so dearly loved, and his Nagant in a hidden holster by his ribs. His black duffel, and bald head, combined with his beard, was something that perhaps seemed to be too Russian in it's look, but was what any respectable Russian would look like. He was a personification of hardship, work and testosterone. Probably.
"No, not tonight, Wilhelm. There should be no trouble, but I will keep my eyes wide open for anything. It is busy tonight." Dmitri said, looking out the side of the carriage, aware that he was on friendly terms with the Prince, and as a Bodyguard, was probably chosen for looks, as well as maybe personality, rather than the full ability to defend.
"I would expect that the opera tonight shall be excellent. I prefer Mussorgsky myself, but we are yet to have the standard of theaters like you have here in Berlin." Dmitri simply said, as he sat up, adjusting his coat a little as he looked over to the young reagent, aware that he was still a significant figure, despite the fact he would not likely be the Kaiser for years to come, and was a minor reagent in the scheme of things.
Imran looked over at Yumiko and Bjorn, who had disembarked form theirs, himself proving LMG fire downrange as he shifted over a metal barrier, the Sikh soldier moving with a pace as he kept up fire. Svetlana tanked her way though, already moving as she kept up GMG fire, destroying a pair of SUVs that slid into the area, sending them up as she then watched Bjorn gun down a set of enemies, mulilating htem into pieces. Then he snapped. Svetlana had seen it before- he had lost his head, he felt not powerful enough. She felt scared herself even, as she watched it unfold. She saw him move forwards, moving far quicker as the giant Nordic Axe in his hand looked more like a club than a sharpened waraxe, due to it's size. But to Bjorn, it had to be just a normal cutting device.
"Bjorn, I got your back! Don't expose your rucksack on your rear, or else you'll go boom if they start chucking heavy fire at it!" Svetlana said, as she sprayed GMG fire, looking to Imran and Yumiko.
"Move in, you two- I will deal with the situation out here! There're flooding now!" Svetlana said, feeling the sweat kick up on her body despite the full pelt of the cooling system, the midst of the rainforest a hot and unbearing place none the less. She looked over to a man that charged out of cover, armed with an RPG, and fired it, Svetlana diving onto her back as it barely flew past, and she smirked, watching as it flew over and she propped herself back up. She let the GMG loose by her side, as she pulled out her oversized Machete, similar to his axe, but perhaps...sharper bladed. She simply didn't come close with it, she flung the whole thing at him, and jumping out of the way, even with the relatively light gear compared to Svetlana. Because even though she had that level of equipment and had that sheer size, she was no slouch to things such as that. The machete practically bowled through half of the man's face, as she smirked under her helmet, moving quickly to retrieve the machete, whilst under fire. It had some material on it, but it would be cleanable, she reminded herself, as she raised the GMG, and kept up some more fire, taking out a machine gun tower and a pair of technicals, spraying 40mm round like it was rain.

To Imran however, this was scary as hell. Watching Svetlana take sniper shots from one of the roofs of the main facility was a little scary, but he knew she had this under control, the matt black armor doing fine- and Bjorn, doing his bloodlusted, mad thing, was taking just about as much fire. To them however, it was nothing- they were Heavies, and it just pinged off them, and in some way, Imran knew that was their thing.
"Yumiko, cover our rear from anything- Bjorn, Svetlana, keep handling any contacts out here. I'll head in and check if the shit's secure." Imran said, already pulling out his M32 as covering fire for the Japanese member of the squad, running fast as he moved from cover to cover, his exoskeleton giving him that extra speed and momentum to practically slide himself into the building. He watched as the noise of the

The corridor had a few contacts, and though an M32 was a bit bulky for the indoors, he had this under control. He sprayed the rounds downrange, the six rounds detonating at the end of the corridor and taking a small squad out, as they were blown apart by the rounds, Imran sliding the M32 onto his back again as he moved through with the Mk48, moving slowly and aiming down the iron sights whenever he could, to scan his sectors and the concrete corridor. He popped one with a single round that ran around the corner, as he was thrown back.
"Okay Antoine, I think your mines can be good to be blown up now- before somebody jumps into anything that they have. I'll take care of the rest of this area above ground- go down and see what else there is in terms of how far they breached it. I'll handle this floor." Imran said, as he moved slowly upwards, scanning his sectors.

Two men ran into the vehicle pool, cursing when they saw the bodies. They were the armored suit operators- and the exoskeleton whirred, as they jumped into the two large armors, roughly 8 foot tall in size, with a set of dead technicians. They checked each others weapons, before rushing out, the loud mechanical clanking on the concrete floor engaging as they moved out, aware they had to defend their perimiter. And yet they had little idea that they were sitting on what equated to basically, an armored pair of suits that were rigged up with explosives in key places. As they headed out, their GAU-19 miniguns in both hands as well as rocket tubes on back, they felt confident they could take on the team of enemies. They had little idea, as they headed out into the open compound, that their moments of power, the two giant mechanized armor suits were toast.
Oh yeah, Swedish Airship Captain, with a motherfucking mechanical arm. I mean, historically, characters don't matter, it's just I had an astute observation of Wilhelm II Hohenzollern, or as I remember, the guy who made his Minister of Defence dance around in a tutu on a desk in front of him who then had a heart attack.
