It's not really about creating a bond through friendship or compassion, it's a bond through their very souls, their true name isn't simply a name. Their not sharing a simply pre-given name, their sharing their true selves to each other. simply calling someone their name doesn't mean your speaking their true name. a true name can only be given by the one who owns it and others who know it, those told another's true name now knows everything about the other, they know even their deepest desires. it's a full blown connection into the other person's very being. that's why they can create the contract because they open their bodies and minds to each other and allows their souls to literally come together and that forms a bond and a contract between them. If I hadn't already made that the way for the contract to work then I wouldn't of minded what ever you planned but I can't really just change everything now when we've already had multiple people go through the contract. I had already tried to make a compromise with the fact of having where the summon wont even remember it's true name even after speaking it.

well if using other examples of the elemental planes as anything then it is separated into sections, each section basically being a concentrated form of it's element. like the air/wind section is nothing but sky and a few floating islands in the sky. the fire is like a sea of flames, etc.. etc.. so (shrugs) that's just taking examples from other things that have the elemental planes, and I don't have a complete set up for the one in this rp just yet.
Their true name is given to them upon birth/creation so I'm unsure there and they have to reveal their true names, which even if they don't know it normally can be an instinctive thing (so could have even if she says it she doesn't remember it herself), in order to show full trust and open themselves fully for the contract. True name is different from simply a name they could just go by. it's a more deeper meaning than that.

she kind of needs a name for the binding, sense by revealing themselves to each other it allows them to connect their souls together, and don't forget it's an elemental your summoning, so the underworld thing wouldn't really make sense, because of me already mentioning the elemental plane before.
