Kakine

"Good to know. I'd have liked to keep the situation under wraps, but with someone as unpredictable as that it's better we have those two groups as backup." Kakine stated as the beetles within Marisa's hat immediately found themselves a new friend.
"..."
"The witch has made contact with Kamijou Touma and has kidnapped the Magic God under his surveillance. This is going to get rough."

Touma and Index

Luckily enough for Index, Touma had managed to push her off of his head and back onto the bench as Marisa lunched for her hat. It took them both a few seconds before they realized what Marisa had just attempted to do. UNfortunately enough, it also made Index even more annoyed.

"Oh, that explains a lot!" she fumed. "You're not a witch! All you do is steal magical artifacts and use someone else's power! That's just mimicry, not actual magic!"

Before she could continue on her tireade, though, Touma quickly stepped in front of Marisa and stared her down.

"Don't know what you're here for, Ms. Kirisame, but you're not stealing her on my watch."

Othinus

Othinus was taken quite off guard when Marisa had grabbed her and stuffed her inside of her hat. Though she had expected a very cramped space inside, what she instead found herself in was what more more or less a pocket dimension. Well, that made calling for help a bit more difficult...
Seeing the little blonde spot where Marisa's head was- in other words, the exit-, Othinus began pulling a few hair out before sighing. This took more out of her than anything else. Maybe there was something else...?

As that thought crossed her mind, Othinus noticed a pair of white beetles staring her in the face. They felt... Familiar, for some odd reason.
Wait, didn't she use the Number Two's power to make Gungnir before? The same sensation she got them was the same that she had now...
But it couldn't be, right?

Hazama

Of course it wouldn't be that easy. Well, hopefully the Azure Grimoire didn't freak out when it had whatever the heck that hermit was planning to do done to it. Energy overflow was definitely a possibility, and the results of that could...
Well...
It'd probably cause his usual power to start flowing out, which meant corrosive auras and release of power restraints. While neither was really a 'bad' thing, giving any semblance of power from the Azure would inevitably lead to someone picking up his trail... And possibly that hermit realizing the power of the Azure. Shit.

Well, maybe if he bailed fast enough after negotiations with the rebels were finished...?
No, that wouldn't work. He'd have to burn up all the excess energy in another way.

"...Fine, fine." Hazama sighed, extending his hands forward towards the girl. "If it can't be helped, then..."
Touma, Index, Othinus

By this point, Index looked as if she would burst from anger. This girl was even worse than Himegami when she and Touma had first met; at least Himegami halfheartedly tried to look like she knew what she was talking about. This girl, this so-called witch...!
"There is no such thing as a 'Perfectly Ordinary Witch'! Do you even know how magic works? Or are you just some sort of cosplayer messing around on some sort of mechanized broom trying to mock magic as a whole?" Index fumed, raring to go and teach Marisa a lesson.

"Oi, oi... Index, calm down..." Touma said, pulling the little nun back down onto the bench as she tried to get at Marisa. "You make enough of a scene when you eat restaurants out of stock, so don't go making yourself any more notorious..."

At that comment, Index immediately turned her anger towards Touma and, without a second thought, jumped onto and started to bite his head/

"GAAAAH! What did I say this time?" Touma cried out, trying to pry the angry Index off of his head.

As he was occupied, Othinus turned to Marisa and, giving her a once-over after leaping off of Touma's shoulder, gave her a look of slight disdain.

"I am neither of those things, little girl. Simply a magical god being punished for her own misgivings, is all."

Hazama

Okay, now THIS was starting to get a bit weird. Him getting cut would probably give away the fact that his body was an Azure Grimoire, which would inevitably end up ending badly. Alternatives, alternatives...

"Ahaha, okay... Why don't we do something a little less... I dunno, pain-inducing?" he suggested as he pulled out a pair of small tablets from his coat. Well, at least the pickpocketing run back at SE had its uses. "Here, take one. They're linked up through some sorta mechanics that I don't understand, but regardless of that fact it'll tell you location and relative health of a person at a glance."

Tossing one of the tablets to Seiga, Hazama smiled and glanced outside. Still daylight. The guards would probably be more worked up at night anyhow, so this would be fine.

"This okay?"
Touma, Index, Othinus

"A witch? But... That's so vague! You can't just be 'a witch'! What church are you affiliated with? Magic name? Element? Sign?" Index immediately flared up, standing up in anger. "Touma here is an idiot that attracts girls left and right, so I can understand you coming here, but if you're going to introduce yourself as a magician at least do it right!"

"Seconded. This boy may as well be a block of lead, given the way he acts, so it's better to be thorough with him than not." Othinus followed, nodding her head as Touma sighed.

"...Seriously? You guys freeload at my house, empty my wallet, cause me more trouble than I've ever had in my unfortunate life... And that's what you have to say about me? That's nice." he said, shaking his head.

"Well, it can't be helped, Touma! It's the truth, isn't it?"
"It is."

As the two nodded in unison, Touma massaged his forehead with his left hand in exasperation. It was almost as if the two had rehearsed the act just to ridicule him. Was this what they did in their free time? Sighing, Touma shrugged and extended his right hand towards Marisa. Well, with the surname Kirisame and blonde hair the girl was... Probably a half...?

"Kamijou Touma. I'm... Technically the guardian of these two...?"

As he introduced himself, Othinus had (very slowly) climbed up onto his shoulder, only to slap him on the face.

"You didn't even notice that she JUST realized I wasn't a doll! Seriously, how dense are you?" she fumed as Touma turned towards her. "This is why you're so misfortunate- not because of Imagine Breaker, but because you're so... Illogical!"
And before anyone asks: Yes I got permission to use Touma as a one-off for the mini arc in Academy City. I swear to whatever the heck's out there that he won't leave the place. He exists as a minor character and as comedic relief, not his usual Deus Ex machina self.
Gintoki

Stopping for nothing as he quickly made his way out of the mansion, Gintoki quickly made his way out of the mansion and down the gates, at which point he found the ghost girl. Making another 180, Gintoki promptly turned around and went back towards the mansion. Nope. No ghosts. Please no ghosts. Not today. Not ever.

Coming to a stop at the front door of the mansion, Gintoki took a deep breath and sat down, sweat dripping down his neck and forehead. Seriously, at the very least someone could've TOLD him there were ghosts here! No matter how much he didn't like to admit it, he did NOT. LIKE. GHOSTS. At ALL. Now he was stuck here with one... On something he legitimately could not escape from. Geez, this was just... Not his lucky day, now was it?

No, it was fine. IT WAS FINE. All he had to do was not think about it, right? As long as he didn't think about the ghost, everything would be fine and-

"GAH!" Gintoki shouted as he felt something brushing down his back. Immediately putting his back to the wall Gintoki found that it was nothing more than a falling tree leaf. Why couldn't he just leave now and save himself the anxiety?

Suwako

"Huh? Coordinates? What the heck would we put in there?" Suwako asked, glancing over Shooter's and Misaka's shoulders as she stared at the control panel. "I'm pretty sure we don't have a map or anything to use to figure out where to go from here, right?"

Casually leaping off of their back, Suwako turned to the little girl and smiled as she waved her right hand around, making a puppet out of sand that looked exactly like Suwako. She high-fived it, and it responded in turn.

For some reason, the eyes seemed to blink on the duplicate as well, but the real Suwako didn't notice it either. Both pairs of eyes seemed to be staring at the girl expectantly, as they had with everyone else who had decided to stare at them earlier.

Kakine

"So whatever Sisters other than you that are still in the city are on witch-capturing duty as well? That saves us a bit of trouble." Kakine half-joked as he continued running after the witch (who was now slowly fading out of sight). She seemed to be headed over towards the right of the Windowless Building (at least, relative to where the two of them were), which meant...

"Oh. Oh boy. She'll be passing over Tokiwadai soon." Kakine said, a hint of worry in his voice. That school, full of prim and proper, up and coming young mistresses who just so happened to be near the top in the city...
And letting that tomboyish witch arrive there? Oh boy.
"Someone needs to intercept her before news gets out and the city flips out like it did last time a magical intruder came in so blatantly."

Touma- Near the School Garden

Touma let out a deep sigh as he flopped down on a bench outside of that private girls-only sector of the city, a small blue-haired Sister in a white habit and a blonde-haired figure about 15 cm tall next to him. Ever since that crazy roommate of that Biribiri middle schooler- Kuroko or something?- came after him like a bat out of hell because the girl was missing, he had been forced on a wild goose trip up and down the District. The constant badgering by Index for food didn't help his situation much, either. Even now, she was asking for food... As she was licking an ice cream cone.

"What misfortune..." he lamented as the blonde girl next to him tugged at his sleeve.

"Huh? Is Sphinx trying to catch you again? I thought we left-"
"No, you idiot! Of course that isn't it! Up! Look up!"

Sighing, Touma heeded Othinus' words and glanced at the sky. Where he expected to see a blimp, though, he saw some sort of figure clad in black and white riding a broom.

"...What kind of magician barges into the science capital of the world in broad daylight...?" he asked out loud as Index began to chomp on the ice cream cone.

"Mmhph mh mph. Mmrph mrf mff mrphmph mf mrfmrrf mrmrfmrph." Index muffled as she continued chewing on her snack.
"Say again?" Touma asked in turn, after which Index swallowed whatever was left in her mouth and cleared he throat.
"As I was saying, Touma... That style of movement is really outdated. The Church has access to modes of transport that are a LOT faster than the old broomsticks that people use to stereotype witches. It's really strange to see someone using one...."
"Oh. So... Is something afoot?" Touma asked, scratching his head absentmindedly as he watched the broom glide through the sky.
"Probably." the two girls replied in unison, almost as if unable to comprehend how long it took Touma to figure that much out.

Hazama

Hook, line, and sinker.
"Well, if you put it that way... Yeah, more or less. Do need your help here, and given that you're asking for negotiations I'm glad to say that whatever it is you want and/or need is on the table. Except for me. Or anything on the scale of 'world domination'. You know, because clearly I'm not fit for trying to pull that off." he said, using his foot to flick the hologram's pedestal upwards and into his coat pocket, taking the model with it. "I've already listed a bunch of stuff out, but you haven't really... Answered me about it yet. What is it that you'd like as payment for the job?"

Well, obviously, the world domination part was as bullshit as it got, what with the simplicity of smelting a Black Beast and all that... But doing so would obviously alert someone (probably Hakumen or another asshat like that) to his continued existence. That'd ruin his job, and would force him on the defensive once again. Though... Maybe if he used a proxy...

Hazama glanced at Seiga as the thought flew into his head. Well, maybe he could use her like that. Wouldn't be too hard to teach the so-called 'hermit' how to build a cauldron and start gathering souls for the Beast...
Hazama

Well... In a way, the facade was working. Granted, he looked like a complete and utter fool, yes, but... It was working.

"Who said we were ever going to fight anyone?" he asked, his smile still on his face. "They can't fight us if they can't catch us. On that note, you're taking things in a way that is quite contrary to what I had suggested. The key is to avoid everything by going through the walls themselves- that is, up them and not just through them and not just the ground. I'm not quite sure of your ability, but I'll hazard a guess here and say that you can do that. It's what the thesis is based around, after all."

Flicking his fedora back up to its standard position, Hazama kicked the hologram once, clearing the initial drawing of the route he had taken and resetting the hologram back to how it was before.

"If my hypothesis is wrong and you can't actually travel through walls like that, then just drop me in the basement and I'll get something worked out. And no, I'm not going to go in to shoot people up. There's something a bit more... Efficient I can do instead."

Well, if he didn't tell the girl anything about the sealed Remnant that was generating seithr so that he could use Ouroboros, things could probably work out fine. All he really needed to do in that case was to create as much seithr as he could, then get the place to burst from the pressure. The stuff was toxic at high concentrations, and since it didn't act like any poison that he had seen in the world they probably didn't have a cure for it. The only thing left to do after that was get it to dissipate, which would leave little trace of it there, if any. It would be as if everyone in the castle had died of a spontaneous heart attack.

Kidnapping the kid would be better, yeah, but the chances of that happening if she couldn't travel through walls as he thought she could... Well, those were next to none.
Hazama

If Hazama was annoyed, he certainly didn't show it; his sly smile remained on his face, regardless of what the other two were saying. Well, Ouroboros was deceptively weak-looking to people who didn't know about the Nox Nyctores, at least compared to the flashier weapons he had seen around... Which that just meant that he had to keep from using the full power of the Azure or tapping into any of Terumi's leftover power. As long as he played the persona he did back at the NOL, it seemed, it'd be a cinch to keep her on board. Well, it was better than using brute force, at least. That'd be much more effort than he'd have liked.

"Well, can't be helped if those were the cards I was dealt. You see why I'm asking for an easier way out?" he continued, reeling Ouroboros back into its portal before shutting it closed. "Anyhow, plan's right here."

With that, Hazama tossed a small circular machine onto the floor, which proceeded to bring up a diagram of the castle at the center of the town.

"Walls are super thick, guards either bloodthirsty sadistic madmen or corrupt guys getting paid to look the other way. Guards of any type are gonna be a pain to deal with, so let's just avoid that and head straight through here." he said, tracing a path underground from their current location to the castle's basement. "From there, there's a series of tediously long hallways, which we're probably going to avoid because I'm not in the mood for fighting in narrow enclosures, if at all. Instead, we can take a detour right around the second room to the right and head up. Assuming your ability is as I believe it to be, we can just move through here and jump straight through to the throne room, where I snatch the kid with my stuff and spirit him away like nothing ever happened. Hopefully, the guards will be too shocked to react and we'll get out scot free, but... That's probably unlikely."

Taking a deep breath, Hazama watched as the hologram retraced his pathway, causing it to blink periodically as the other two looked at it.

"Gotta admit, that was pretty on the fly, but if you work long enough staring at blueprints this kinda stuff tends to come naturally."

With that outline finished, Hazama tipped his fedora downwards and leaned against the most stable wall he could find. Only being able to access Ouroboros for this mission was... Well, a really big pain in the ass, but if it got him stuff without having to work for it then who was he to argue with those self-imposed terms?

"After I deliver the kid to the revolutionaries outside of this place, I'll uphold my end of the bargain. Sounds fair?"

Well, at the very least he wasn't going to lie to her completely. SE could probably provide this girl with whatever the hell she needed, so it was less a lie and more... A simple half-truth. If she asked for something like a Nox Nyctores or, by extension, a Murakumo Unit, though... That... That'd take some effort.
Hazama

"Well, of course it wouldn't be that easy. As I said earlier: you do me one, and I do you one back. Regardless of scale, of course; I have the resources at my disposal to do that." Hazama said, smiling slyly as he pulled out a small cellphone- standard issue by SE, but useful nonetheless. "Of course, I'm on a tight schedule here; after all, it's only a matter of time before they pick up on my recent actions. That's where you come in."

Letting the phone slide back into his pocket, Hazama slipped over to the exit one more, a dangerous glint in his eye.

"You are on hand at the moment and have what I currently am unable to access. This is a business agreement where we both profit from the outcome. And... To be honest, I'd rather not look to flashy while doing this, either."

With that said, Hazama opened an small interdimensional portal and let Ouroboros shoot out, causing it to lodge itself into the wall in front of him and crush whatever happened to be in between its jaws.

"See? Too flashy. I'd get caught in an instant."
Hm... Well, I guess I'll toss my interest in here too. Though I am still curious as to these new Pokemon you have thought up and such.
Hazama

Hazama let out a small laugh as the Asian woman moved closer to him. She seemed to be right, at least; given how she immediately reacted upon his arrival, he may as well have found a business partner he could cooperate with. She wasn't quite like Relius, but... Well, given the circumstances, she was close enough.

"Pardon me, ma'am." he said, smoothly moving out of her grasp and bowing to her. "My name... Well, nobody really cares; they just call me Hazama. I guess you may as well."

Honey traps, like what she was trying to pull, weren't going to work on him. There was no time to give in to carnal desires during a journey of revenge, after all.

"But... I'm pretty sure this isn't your house. After all, how could someone with those fancy clothes live in a house that isn't much more than a few bricks and a rotting wooden basement? These are the slums, after all." he said, smiling calmly. "On that note, I'm pretty sure that walking through a wall isn't exactly... Normal, you know?"

Walking over to the wall that the woman had just slipped through, Hazama casually knocked on it, a solid 'thud' resonating back into the room.

"Don't know what you're here for, but given how much of a dump it is, I'm willing to bet it's something important. So how about we help each other out here- you get me to the throne room so we can snatch the king, and I help you do whatever thing it is you're here for. Maybe more. Whaddya say?"
