Well, I think the posting order's temporarily scattered, so you two are probably free to go whenever. Probably.
Shinsuke simply nodded at the professors' rundown of the location they were to head through; though he himself had put aside time to familiarize himself with the region's layout, it was by no means a replacement for going out there and checking the place out himself. He could at least understand that much. After one of the girls tossing out a halfhearted remark (and failing to say his name correcly), Shinsuke silently walked along the rest of the group following behind the boy from earlier, listening to the conversation unfolding in front of him. It seemed that the questions weren't directed towards him anyhow, so he was content to listen idly as the group continued chatting away.

The interesting part about it all, though, was the fact that it seemed that two of them seemed to be from Unova. He himself had never really been interested in the region, but the things he HAD read (mainly the whole spectacle of building skyscrapers) had caught his attention... Momentarily. In truth, he really had no way to relate to these people in the least, which wasn't very good considering how he would have to travel alongside them for the remainder of this journey.

Through under normal circumstances he would have liked to maybe try and inject himself into the conversation, Shinsuke found himself unable to do so, be it out of hesitance or uncertainty; even he himself wasn't quite sure of the reason why. So in the end, he remained silent as the rest of the group continued through the streets, which continued to emanate this air of grandeur and amazement...

Well, to him, at least.
Paging @Zombehs, paging @Zombehs. You alive, man?
As if on cue, Caster took form next to Fio, bowing towards her before turning to the sigil she had been examining just moments earlier. True, he didn't have to transition out of his spirit form as he did, but retaining a physical form helped him process his thoughts better. Subconsciously fanning himself, Caster looked at the circle from multiple angles before sighing and shaking his head.

"I have a vague idea of what the circle is used for- a bounded field, clearly- but without any further circles to compare it to, I cannot ascertain its strength or region of origin. I would, however, recommend we not tamper with it; it's very likely that the creator of such a thing had the insight to set up traps, and we might be in trouble if any of those go off." he stated simply before glancing at the books Fio had in hand.

"On that note, though, I would also like to prepare our own base of operations; should we continue without a suitable location for defense and recovery, this war becomes infinitely more difficult."
Marcus rolled his fingers over his leg as he stared at the line, the others giving their input as they saw fit. To be completely honest, in their current state, avoiding combat and setting up a base of operations was probably the highest priority of all, and diving smack dab into the middle of an unknown forest like Nova had suggested they do (even AFTER Rae's prior warnings about some sort of whisperings) made the least sense of everything. Wasn't the safest and most logical thing to do be sticking to the outskirts of the forest before anything else? Everyone else seemed to think as much, so...

"I say we avoid heading in for now. Place sounds REALLY ominous, and without any means of self-defense we're basically sitting ducks if we go in now." he sighed, standing up from his previous position and looking to the sides. "I'll head right and circle around the forest; Adam can probably take the left if we're splitting to cover more ground, or we can all just go as a group. In the case of a former, if we hit a dead end, meet right back here, alright?"

With that, Marcus glanced around and took a fallen branch off the ground before stepping behind the red line and drawing a giant 'X' in the dirt; right after that, he planted the branch firmly in the ground. Luckily, due to the lack of brush, the branch stood out quite well among the low-lying grasses, making it easy to spot if they decided to return here. With that, Marcus walked off to the right, hoping to find something of interest... Hopefully one that wouldn't try to kill him.

It didn't take long, though, for him to come across one of the reasons for their earlier discomfort, though; an entire section of the forest, completely razed to the ground. What made it worse, though, were the obviously burnt corpses of what Marcus assumed to be people. The heat still emanating from the area only served to further his discomfort, and though he was nowhere near sick, the sight of it all was quite... Disturbing.

"...The hell happened here...?" he asked himself before cautiously looking around the charred remains of trees and underbrush. The region seemed to be a former campsite, given how the bodies were near a circle of stones clearly made to contain a fire, but... That campfire didn't seem to be the cause of the mess... No, given how the bodies seemed to be sprawled out nearby, it was quite likely that these people were killed, and the fire used to try and erase the evidence. The ability to handle dead bodies wasn't really somewhere he wanted to tread (no, in fact, he'd much rather be off looking for artifacts if that was to be his job), but given the situation information was key. Cautiously moving around the first corpse (of what he counted to be five people), he found something that he considered himself lucky to find- a small dagger, one sheathed away and that had barely escaped the worst of the damage from the fire by having itself buried in the dirt, presumably after it's previous owner fell. Though his moral compass was obviously freaking the heck out because he was essentially a grave robber by doing this, Marcus took the dagger, sheath and all, and slid it onto his belt before continuing to look over the site. Hopefully, the people behind him (if any) would be able to find some more clues as to what the hell went down here.

"...Well, whatever the hell caused this, it might come for us next..."

Well, that... Though he did expect some sort of interference from the person in front of them at the moment anyhow, the fact that she was brazen enough to light the whole alleyway on fire... Was she crazy? Judgement or Anti-Skill or even regular people were bound to notice! But the fact that she was so confident in her abilities meant that likely wasn't the case. Shit.

"...Alright, alright, understood." Kyouma sighed, raising his arms in surrender as he quickly started going through possible options to call for SOS from his current position without being too obvious. "Looks like you got what you wished for, huh?"

A cruel joke, yes, but by this point Kyouma had already figured out a few strategies to get them out of this mess, and creating a quarrel of some sort to divert attention was where it'd have to begin.

For starters, the fact that they were so deep in the alleyway meant that whatever was past the raging fire behind them probably wouldn't be seen by their kidnapper. so he started there... With the light indicating signs of a struggle from near the entrance, which would then lead would-be rescuers to the flames. Of course, he'd have to leave more 'tracks' the farther in they moved, but keeping up his illusions wasn't exactly the hardest thing in the world to do. It was pretty easy to tell if they were, though, given how they tended to mess with his concentration a bit when handled without care, which meant that the second someone DID find where they were and was curious enough to investigate, he could simply change the mess into an SOS and all the faked evidence into arrows pointing to their location.

Of course, if that didn't work, there was always the 'flashbang and laser cutter out' option, but that was usually pretty messy and would net him... Well, all of his money to pay for damages, but if worse came to worst...
Gintoki

Gintoki stared at the 'dynamic duo' as they went off doing... Well, whatever their schtick was. He didn't need a boy and his mecha-blob to back him up he-
Almost as if on cue, though, a rolled-up scroll of paper popped out from his bokuto, almost begging him to read it. Though most of the time he'd be wary of this kind of stuff (god DAMN it, why was it always his stuff that ended up getting the stupid upgrades?), the hack that it had come out...
Gintoki took a moment to go quickly skimming through the paper, only to find out it was the contract he had signed back when he had first joined...
And that it was still in effect. Right.
With a flick of his wrist and a few quick slashes from what would otherwise be a dull blade, the paper was shredded into tiny, meaningless scraps before being tossed to the floor.

"Yeah, seems so. Well, whatever." he sighed, tossing neither a glance as he walked down the hallway. "Maybe we can go set up some traps or something before they come."

Suwako

"Dunno, huh?" Suwako sighed, cleanly backflipping off of Black Rock Shooter's shoulders and landing on a leaf that had conveniently sprung up from the ground just now. "Well, that's kind of an issue, but I think we can at LEAST say it's another world, right?"
Almost as if a switch had triggered as she said that, though, Suwako snapped her fingers as a curious idea popped into her head.
"I wonder if I can set up communications back home with a shrine here...?"

But that would have to wait, especially if they were making a giant spectacle of themselves. Though the extra publicity and fame was nice, people would probably write it off as magic or something of the sort... Assuming it existed here, of course. If she was going to make her theories go live, she'd have to save the biggest 'BANG!' for when it counted the most.

The appearance of the new brown-haired girl, though... The first things that caught her attention were a) her apparent age and b) her shopkeeper outfit. Though she wasn't concerned much about the age (no, not in the least, really), the fact that she was a shopkeeper meant that she probably knew things. If that amnesiac little girl didn't know about this place, then a native shopkeep might.
Well, she was still a little girl, but regardless of that fact...

Kakine

Aleister simply closed his eyes as all the questions came flying at him, one after the other. Goodness, he would've hoped they would have had a bit more restraint... But, given their situation, their belligerent behavior at the moment was somewhat understandable.

"Let me answer your questions in order of importance. I am Aleister Crowley, general superintendent of Academy City, and this is where I... Reside. While under normal circumstances I would prefer to stay out of harm's way due to the impenetrable defenses of the Windowless Building, the success of the Kiharas with their latest experiment has increased my workload considerably. It seems that people from other worlds do not take kindly to requests from people they cannot see..." he trailed off before a pair of electronic contracts (with a variety of language options, including a few not ordinarily spoken on Earth, along with an option for audio) popped up in front of the two newcomers. "As a result, I've taken to directly greeting those who pique my interests but do not show the instant urge to... End me, so to speak. So long as you abide by the rules stated within, I promise that the city's personnel will not show you any harm. And no, this is not a dress; this is a hospital gown. Please take note that clothing in this day and age may differ from what you are used to."

The contracts themselves were fairly short, and could more likely be called agreements than anything else. Summarized, Aleister would, as long as they followed the rules within, would give the new 'guests' lodging, food, money, and freedom of movement, but in exchange they had to abide by the city's rules and (occasionally) come to its defense if so needed... At least until they decided to break it, of course. With the city's personnel, though, the wordiness with which everything was stated only meant that no loopholes could be easily found... well, not without experienced lawyers on the case.

Kakine sighed as he looked over a copy of this aforementioned 'contract', not sure if the crazy witch would be on board. After all, the first thing she had decided to do was break the first rule handed out by them... But hey, if anyone could get someone to listen to them and didn't have the ability to negate every imaginable ability in existence, it'd probably be the card-carrying Aleister.
Now, you see, it's no fun if you know the final destination. Let me handle the puppetry while you play along here, aight?
Post might take a while longer due to an extended trip to the hospital. No clue as to when I'll be released, but until then... Yeah.
Been stuck in the hospital for a while, dunno when I'll be out. Posts might be a bit slower than usual.
