Skills are fine and coincide with the level, gear is fitting, and I think it works.

Having found nothing out-of-place by her partner's demeanor, Mari let herself relax and nodded in turn. It would do no good for her to be so worked up, and even worse if she picked up on her earlier wariness.

"If that's really okay with you..." Mari trailed off, nodding at her newfound partner's openness to her. She had expected a more condescending person, to be quite honest, but this was perfectly fine with her.

"Then Kagura it is. And yes, I think that returning to our rooms would probably save us some headache. I have to say, though, that I don't particularly know the way, so unless you do, we might accidentally... Get lost if we're not paying attention."

Well, bluntness worked. Though it was more a test of competence than anything, Mari hoped that Kagura would provide some spark of intrigue to her in the near future. This was just the first step, yes, but it was certainly better than nothing.

@VitaVitaAR: This works. This works quite well. I would normally call into question the mastery levels under normal circumstances, but then realized that the character is unable to use magic, so... Yeah, it seems fine by me. Works as a balancing mechanism of sorts, since she's basically going in guns-a-blazin'... Well, all of the time, actually.

Edit: So yes, accepted.

She's not quite paranoid, just kinda... Not exactly a people person in terms of relationships. She can read them okay, so she won't jump to any conclusions without proper evidence.

In other words, prevention > cure.

Alright, that's good, then.

In the meantime, I should also mention (as someone asked in the IC earlier): yes, the option to build up giant citadels from nothing is an option.
And no, you won't be forced into manual labor to craft it up in this new world because magical tools are freaking amazing.

So yes, in theory, you could buy out entire towns or cities and/or create fortresses from nowhere if you've got enough money and tools.
Hiring the staff, though... Well, you'll see if we ever get around to it.

Liu looked at Kyang's rapid leave with a bit of amusement; she seemed particularly more motivated to get moving and killing than he'd have expected her to. Well, it wasn't as if she was alone; if he could get rid of those, then the security of his hometown would go up. Of course, rabid beasts aside, groups like these tended to cause too many disruptions and losses of life. That was never a good thing.

"I still have to retrieve my clothes, you know..." Liu trailed off as Kyang disappeared out the door before sighing. That eagerness of hers might backfire on them soon enough, though he wasn't quite sure if any of them (save for himself) were the... 'Stealthy' type. He had to do it as a hunter all the time, but with nary a clue as to how the other three conducted themselves, Liu feared that the other two might be caught off guard. Though, by that same line of logic, he and Torako could be caught in the same sort of mess...

"Ah, I'll just go and retrieve them now," he shrugged, finishing his own cup of tea before shouting out a thank-you to the owner before walking out the door, where Kyang was waiting.

"I'm going to head to my home to change into my training outfit, alright? Wait for me by the main gate to the city; I won't be long," he stated, walking off back to his home to get what he needed.

loljk. But in all seriousness, if you remember the prelude to the UBW Heracles v Gil fight, Shinji was more or less dragged around inside Gate of Babylon, so that is technically ALSO an option.

I mean, he carried Shinji around. You don't dirty the place more than that.
