That moment when your post gets ninja'd. =3=;;

One moment to edit a reaction in.
"Ah... no, no, combat aid will be enough," Tiral hastily stated towards Sult's suggestion, waving his hand no and shaking his head in a similar fashion. Though she was certainly quite a character, anything that girl implied had a tendency of being on the risque side of things... And, well, to be frank, given her recent actions, she was probably just trying to mess with him like she did everyone else.

God dammit, he fell for it; hook, line and sinker.

"...In any case, with that out of the way--" he began to say before becoming quiet at the captain's outburst. His eyes slowly drifted over to the disemboweled corpse on the ground, and a look of disgust crawled up his face. Even if fighting wasn't glamorous, scare tactics like this...
What difference did it have compared to the tactics that had just been used by those that had just attempted to kill them? That was the sort of thing serial killers did, was it not?

Turning away and shaking his head, Tiral turned to the fist bandit he had caught, who was currently bound up in ice. Out of all of them, he was probably the only one who had escaped injury... But in some ways, the fear of imminent death might have been worse.

Well, he had brought this on himself.

Tiral took pause once more as Sult took to complaining about blood on her armor, a sigh leaving his lips as he brought his hand to his face in mild exasperation.

"Just go wash it off or something before it rusts; it'll be bloody again soon enough anyhow."

Wiping the sweat off his brow, Tiral quickly placed the ceremonial dagger before looking at the carnage in front of them. It was... Well, quite frankly, a massacre. The least they could do was cremate the bodies after taking the weapons off them. Animals getting accustomed to the taste of humans would only breed more trouble in the future. If not that, then tossing them in a ditch and burying them would work just as well...

And then Tyaethe promptly ran herself through with a spear. Tiral's jaw may as well dropped to the ground as he stared on in shock. What really gave him pause, though, was the fact that the knight was, in fact, quite dead by their human standards. So the immortal knight was actually far from it?
...
Wait, wasn't that necromancy?!

The mage almost spoke out in objection before calming himself. No good would come if he continued to stall their progress here. he could complain... Later. On the way back, preferably.

"Regardless, we have a job to carry out, and with all due respect, we cannot spend time loitering around feeling remorse for what has already been done. I shall inquire about your condition later, but right now time is of the essence; I wouldn't be surprised if the enemy knew something was amiss if the group we annihilated here does not report back," he stated towards the captain before turning in the direction of the four formerly-fleeing bandits whose legs were still bound in his ice prison. Given the general position of their legs as they were frozen...

"They're this way... Am I correct?"
@Athoriel: I swear that your Owain picture here is waaay too coincidental. I can't imagine him as anyone but him now for some reason.
...
Well, personality aside, of course.
@Chaotic Chao: In the rules mate, but to put it succinctly? Yes, but there ARE restrictions. Exceptions can be made, but those are on a case-by-case basis. Read the first post's explanation for a more in-depth explanation.
"Poison might not be cheap, but that depends on your definition of poison," Tiral remarked, fully thankful for the assistance... Regardless of how eccentric that assistance was. Continuing to go and block the attacks, the young knight nodded as his situation became less numerically tilted against him. With a short huff, Tiral quickly moved to attack, pulling back his sword as he started to chant.

"Extend and freeze."

The blade of his sword, now sheathed in a layer of ice, shot forward, catching the bandit off guard as the weapon sliced through his midsection as if it was butter before returning back to its original state. Flicking the weapon to clear it of any remaining water, Tiral turned his attention to the captain's shouting.

More escapees? Oh, for the love of--!

"I'll handle it!" Tiral shouted, sheathing his sword and pulling out the little dagger from underneath his armor. "Just keep me safe a while longer!"

Tiral eyed the bandits who were turning tail, albeit just barely, through the woods; four were slowly starting to scramble through the underbrush, which was all he needed to know.

"Let mine enemies cower in fear. Let them freeze in their tracks, lamenting their own fate. Let them despair, knowing they have crossed the Iron Rose Knights! With their power behind me, I decree: move no longer!"

With a hearty cry, Tiral swung his dagger in an arc in front of him before swinging it downward. Immediately, four lines of ice began to snake out from his feet, hungrily seeking the would-be escapees. Once they found their mark, the ice seemed to crawl up their legs and lock them in place. Struggle as their might, the ice did not seem like it would budge. It only grew worse, though, as the ice continued its way up, shards of it now digging into their targets' flesh and dyeing itself an odd hue of reddish-pink.

The beads of sweat now dotting Tiral's face showed but a glimpse of how taxing such a spell was on him. Though by no means an end-all be-all solution, it would at least prevent the enemies from shoring up their defenses in time.

"I... Believe this should suffice...?" he asked rhetorically, a halfhearted smile on his face before turning to Sult. "Thanks for earlier, though... Not the sort to handle fighting more than one at a time..."
Tiral rolled his eyes as he watched a good chunk of the REST of the company bickering around the captain. Most of them were nobles, right? A miracle that he had gotten selected for the subjugation force, all things considered. Though... From what he had heard from eavesdropping just a little, it seemed like the whole ordeal was a little mess about the politics of the whole situation, thinly veiled with some degree of half-respect. The division seemed fairly interesting overall, but getting involved might turn their attacks towards him instead. That... That was something he would rather avoid.

The young knight reined his steed in when the captain, altruistic as she was, decided to attempt to help a man lying on the road. Tiral stared at the destroyed carriage and the dead horse before sighing. The attack was recent, given the fact that the blood on the man's clothing had yet to dry. That could only mean--!

Leaping off his mount and drawing his sword from the side, Tiral gritted his teeth in silence as a bandit attempted to assault the captain. He was promptly cut down, of course, but bandits... Well, where there was one, there were always more.

"Alright, enough chatter. Be ready for more any moment now..." he began to say before noticing the rustling of leaves abovehead. One of the bandits seemed smart enough to try and run back to warn their leader instead of trying to assault them head-on.

Not like he was going to allow it, though.

"Seek mine enemy," Tiral began to chant, a sphere of the crystal-clear liquid beginning to form in his hand. "And chain him unto this land in thine own name."

Without any further flourish or extravagance, the water shot out towards the trees, and a cry of pain (along with the sound of a few branches being broken) could be heard as another bandit tumbled to the ground in front of him. The water he had sent up earlier was now circling his arms and legs, which meant that, at the very least, the spell had been successful.

"Freeze."

And with that, the water turned to ice, weighing down the bandit from escaping even further.

"Good luck escaping from that, you scum," Tiral stated, a frown on his face as a few more bandits popped out from the woods to take them on. Oh, oh course there were more. It was a miracle that they weren't in full retreat by now. Though, to be fair, with his distinct lack of armor, he DID seem like the easiest target right about now...

"Sorry to be a bit of a nuisance, but could I request some assistance here?" the young knight asked his colleagues, attempting to parry and evade the broad, untrained slashes of the bandits. "Honestly hoping these blades aren't coated in poison, or else I might be in a biiiit of trouble."
Well, I'll let you four decide on that, then. Once you do, I'll update.
Hellsalem's Lot

The barista smiled as Shotaro came up to the counter to pick up his group's order. he exchange went by without a hitch, and the young detective was given his change and assorted drinks and pastries without too much hassle. Left with a simple 'enjoy', the barista moved off to continue his work. There were, after all, more people to attend to than just them. That blonde girl, though... What a sweet tooth she must have had to be staring at him all the while.

Satori closed her eyes as she began to muse over Philip's words. She never really had the time to ponder such thoughts... Or, rather, come up with them in the first place. The thought of multiple versions of herself, though... Something about that sent shivers down her spine. And the fact that all of them were not identical? That made it a bit more jarring.

It didn't take long for her thoughts to drift to her sister, though; maybe there was a version that hadn't closed her third eye? If that was the case, then maybe...

No. Shaking her head, Satori chided herself for those sort of thoughts. However much she wanted the old Koishi back, she would never be able to do so without adequate consequences on all sides...

"...That seems like a reasonable enough statement..." she said quietly, her eyes trailing off to the side before sighing. They had more important things to worry about, anyhow. "We might have to go look deeper than the average person here to find the two in question..."

The 13th Hierarchical City of Kagutsuchi

Laboratory

The rapid pace of the two girls soon caught up with the armored samurai, who was now turning to face both of them.

"Didn't I tell you that the exit--!"

His words were abruptly cut short as he turned to face the girl that was equipped with gear not unlike that of a Murakumo unit. What in the--?!

Unsheathing his blade quietly as he stared her for what seemed like an eternity, the man turned around and continued down the hallway. This was by no means letting down his guard; one wrong move, and he would attempt to take both of them down in an instant.
Tiral let out a sigh as his horse plodded on, his eyes restlessly flicking about as the two continued on. A call to arms was a rare incident, and the knight was itching to go test his skills against a real opponent. While the Order was by no means an organization for adventurers, the resources they had at their disposal combined with the quality of their training regimen was far more enticing than what most guilds and such offered.

So here he was now, following behind a girl barely reaching for adulthood, as they all rode forth to go and suppress a bandit 'king' and his troops. For some reason or another, Tiral found the whole situation to be... Well, sort of surreal. Wouldn't it be more rational to send in a more experienced knight to lead the charge and let her gain experience as a second-in-command? Sending someone onto the front lines like this seemed like a recipe for disaster...

"Better than cleaning the stables, at least..." he sighed to himself as he stared at the road ahead, a frown on his face. "Whatever happens, happens; no skin off of my back."

The teenager spoke now, mentioning that they would have to leave their steeds behind to continue their assault. That seemed a bit strange to Tiral. Did the enemy have some sort of anti-cavalry measures at hand to justify that course of action? Even if they were to enter a forest, it wasn't as if riding horses was that much of a hassle... Right?

Regardless of that hint of doubt, though, orders were orders, and he would have to comply when the time came around.

"...I wonder how far they'll push me, though... It's been a while since I've had anything more than spars on hand..."
