"...Oh, gods be damned. What have I done to have luck like this?!" Tiral asked nobody in particular as he pulled his dagger from the ground, still staring at the raging vampire who had finally decided that he was enough of a threat to warrant a reckless charge at his face. Maybe he had spoken too soon about the whole 'let the Captain relax' thing, but he would look like a complete fool if he decided to retract his statement. Even if things were looking kind of hairy right now...

Well, even he still had to preserve some face here.

As the vampire drew in close for a lunging attack at him, Tiral quickly dove off to the side and recited a quick incantation before slipping his dagger into another crack in the ground, quickly creating a barrier of ice around himself to ward off any incoming attacks. If their enemy's current demeanor was any indicator, then sitting still to let the thing whack away at the ice while the rest of the Knights took him down was probably the best option.

The best part about the ice, though, was its transparency. Tiral flashed a toothy grin at the vampire from behind his barrier in another attempt to provoke him. If the enemy took his eyes off of Tiral to handle someone else, then he could just send a spear of ice through his back. Honorable? No, not in the least. Workable? Probably.

Glancing at the rest of the Knights, the mage hoped that at least one of them would take advantage of the opportunity in front of them now...
Having left the building, Mamoru bought a few pieces of berry bread from a stall along the road for his group to eat later. Given that he had absolutely zero clue how long the three of them would be out hunting bears, it was only natural that he'd bring along a little something for them for lunch. Besides... It was bears they were hunting. Maybe the smell would attract them?
...
No, that was silly. There was no way that'd be the case.

Quickly confirming all the goods on his person at the moment, Mamoru caught up to the other two who were planning to tag along with him, bread packed in a small bag tied to one side and his sword to the other. The merchant lady from earlier mentioned the preparation of a plan. That, of course, was a bit easier said than done. Luckily, the young swordsman had been on enough hunts to know (to some degree) what the usual process for this was.

"Well, most groups usually stake out a river or a cave and keep watch, but that only works about half of the time. Fanged bears have a sharp sense of smell after all, so they can tell something's looking for them just as well as they know where their food is. Luckily enough, though, there's another way to go about this--tracking. During this period of time, these bears usually go around the same path seeking their meals, so as long as we can find out where the creature's headed, we might be able to intercept and kill it. The hard part is the fighting, though, but it'll go better if we can catch them off guard. Are you two okay with that?"

The explanation was a tad lengthy, yes, but for someone who had just entered town for the first time this sort of exposition was fairly necessary. Otherwise, they could just as easily wait for nothing to happen and still get the same result.
Sogiita Gunha

The constant crises that Academy City seemed to be in recently did not faze the No.7 Level 5 esper, who continued to face the coming days with a confident grin on his face. While Gunha wasn't officially a part of Judgement, he did occasionally pop around here and there like a certain Railgun and resolve incidents himself. Though it occasionally seemed like he wasn't a welcome appearance for either side more often than not, none of that sort of thing really mattered to him. After all, if neither side had the guts to tell it to his face, then they didn't have the right to have him stop, right? And it wasn't as if he was doing anything illegal; quite the opposite, actually.

That wasn't on most days, though. In the end, he was still a student of Academy City, and given how today was the start of the weekend for him, Gunha quickly took to relaxing the only way he knew how: wandering the streets aimlessly, a cold sports drink in hand as he remained on the lookout for anything interesting.

Imagine his surprise, then, when the interesting thing found him instead. From walking around the city to a weird pink room... Well, it felt as if something was up. Well, if the girl asking for help didn't give it away yet, at least.

With a slow glance around the room as he took a sip of his beverage, Gunha took in the appearances of the various people standing around awkwardly. Most still seemed to be in a bit of shock, which was understandable. But that sort of action was gutless--especially the blonde girl's statement. It was obvious, wasn't it? Whatever the heck the problem was, they'd be gutless to even think about not accepting!
...
Unless the girl had less-than-savory intentions. In that case, he'd take her on himself. Lying to people was so much more gutless than hesitating at something like this. Tucking away his sports drink in his back pocket, Gunha crossed his arms and stood dramatically, his legs split and his cape seemingly fluttering in the air (regardless of the lack of wind in the room).

"Sogiita Gunha, at your service!" the young man shouted, a grin plastered on his face as a few explosions blew up from behind him, sending colored smoke rising into the air from their locations. "It takes guts to bow your head and ask for help, so c'mon, let's hear it! Whaddya want us to do?"

He could worry about going back to Academy City later... But the higher ups in the city would probably not be having much fun with his absence. Whatever, those guys were pretty gutless anyhow.

The Anguished One

A bitter smile crossed the Anguished One's face as he watched the Shining One and his allies move on to a world unbound by the Akashic Record. Given who he was, there was no way he could follow them to that new world, so here he would remain, in this void left by the absence of humanity. The being beside him, Miyako Hotsuin, seemed to have a similarly bitter expression. Though it had only been a few days for her (and a few weeks for him), the Shining One and his friends had overcome the Administrator and found themselves a new future. For the continuation of humanity, at least, he could be grateful; for all he had given them would not be for naught, with the death of Canopus, it was only a matter of time before he, too, would disappear. With the hope that the new world would prosper, the Anguished One closed his eyes, waiting for the inevitable to come.
...
And yet, it never did.

The sensation of solid ground beneath his feet took the Anguished One by surprise, and he immediately opened his eyes and took a cautionary glance around. There were many beings gathered around in the room, none of which he had seen before. This fact... it was disorienting and, to be quite frank, went against everything he had known. As far as he knew, everything in existence should have been wiped out. So then, why--?

"But first, would you like to join me in creating the perfect world, for all of us and everyone?!"

At those words, the Anguished One's mouth turned into a tight-lipped frown. A perfect world... He already knew that such a world had come to fruition, though he could never truly see it for himself. But this girl... It wouldn't have been an understatement to say that she seemed to have been broken by all standard conventions. Though he saw the highs and lows of humanity (especially during the Shining One's fight against the Septentriones), there had been no such insanity as was present in this child. Her eyes seemed to give off an aura of despair, which he disapproved of greatly. As a rather portly egg-shaped man began to ramble on his own, the Anguished One began to process the events that had transpired over the last few minutes.

If this girl speaks of the concept of 'new universes' and has brought be here, then there are many conclusions to draw. First and foremost, the world of the Shining One and his friends--the universe that I originate from--is not the sole existence in the grander scheme of things. Furthermore, the fact that I, of all people, was brought here, means that she has enough power to overcome the system within which my own universe was built from. Creating a new universe also requires an amount of energy unable to be naturally obtained in any given state of the world, which means that...

There are still greater things that may threaten their new peaceful lives.

Though no change of expression was present on his face, the Anguished One was, internally, quite distressed. There was no doubt that this girl could send another wave of invaders to that new world, and the Shining One and his friends might be none the wiser. For now, at least, he could afford to play along; to steer them away from the world he would now play the unnamed protector of. As far as he knew, it was more productive to not be blackmailed (was that what humans had called it?) than it was to take incentives. So he would act accordingly; sate this mad child's desire while neither acting nor remaining still. Above all else, he could act as a test for humanity elsewhere: to see if they could withstand the threat that now faced them. It wasn't as if the job was new to him, but he would have to remain secretive about it all.

"I do not believe we are in a position to argue," the Anguished One stated, his face neutral as he faced the man criticizing the one who was likely behind this entire ordeal. "Would we not be better off if we heard an explanation first?"

Information was what he lacked, and so it was what he would seek.

Tiral smirked as he saw the vampire's arm get frozen to the wall, the regenerative effect stopped dead in its tracks as the blood uselessly tried to drag the limb back to its original position. Sir Garrett's followup attack gave the mage just enough time to jump to his feet in preparation for another attack, though; with their opponent now in a murderous rampage (and the other now dead, thank the gods), things seemed to be going a bit faster than he had expected.

"Hm. Well, now this means you're at a heavy disadvantage, now aren't you?" Tiral asked the vampire, not expecting a response in the midst of the blood fury that the enemy had gotten themselves into. With all that blood dripping out of the body, it was only a matter of time before things closed themselves out, right?

"Captain, rest easy for a moment. We'll handle the rest," the mage said, chanting a bit before stabbing his dagger into the ground. The water that had since been lying around in between the cracks in the stones quickly began to gather below the vampire before spewing up like a geyser. The water itself, though, seemed to freeze mid-eruption. If it caught the vampire in it, then all was well and Sir Garrett could finish the job. There were more opponents to worry about further ahead, anyhow; it'd be best if he could preserve some of his Magil for later...
A small laugh left Mamoru's lips, and a slightly forced one at that. The more he talked, the more worrisome this incident seemed to look. Even so, though, at least there was some idea of what to prepare for...

"Understood. Thank you for the information; I'll be careful during my search," he said, bowing in thanks before getting up from his seat and walking over to the two people who had offered their services earlier. The merchant claimed that she had combat experience, at least, so that was somewhat less worrisome, at least. In any case, the longer they waited, the less time they would have to seek their prey. That wouldn't do; not at all, no.

"I think I've gathered enough information for now, at least. We still might want to be careful, though; bears are bears, after all..." he trailed off, shaking his head before showing the two a smile. "It should be fine, though. I think."

Though there was some part of him that wanted to warn his two companions of the possible danger ahead, the commentary from the two more rational hunters made it seem more unlikely than not that an awakened beast would pop up. It wasn't as if they couldn't just run, though... Right?

"In any case, we should head out now. I'll meet you two near the path to the forest on the west exit of the town, all right?" he asked (somewhat rhetorically) as he walked out of the building, mulling over his thoughts as he moved in contemplative silence. There was probably no need for anything like armor, right? They were just bears, after all...
...
Right?
Hey, so! I figured out a 'villain' (in the loosest sense of the word), so here we go!
(Spoilers ahead for anyone wanting to play Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 2.)

Nerfed in some places, buffed in others. Hope this is okay.
Uh...

Well, if it really is Kira...
Well, I have to worry about whether or not Bites the Dust is available or the combo with Stray Cat is usable...

Not saying what they are because spoilers, but those concerns are still relevant.
For some reason, I'm getting Killer Queen vibes from this guy...
Here's one. Still need to think of one to balance the scales...

Name: Sogiita Gunha
Universe: Raildexverse
Appearance: When in doubt, trust your guts!
Personality: Gunha is... A bit of an idiot. A kindhearted idiot who fights for the sake of justice, yes, but an idiot nevertheless. Incredibly hot-blooded and eager to solve issues without thinking them through first, Gunha also has a bit a tendency to get involved in messes that might not have BEEN messes in the first place. Often misunderstanding problems and context, he'll often jump into a problem with the idea that "if he has enough guts, then it'll be fine" or something like that. He's not a COMPLETE idiot, though; even though he may be the type to get caught up in rather strange situations, it's not as if he can't understand people or their issue. He just jumps to conclusions... Really quickly. If forced to, at least, he can stay put and TRY to work something out otherwise.
Abilities: As a Gemstone and one of the top espers in Academy City, Gunha's potential arsenal is... Rather large. The most relevant of this set is listed below.
  • Super Strength: Gunha can launch things a fair distance; for example, he launched a certain spiky-haired misfortunate high school student down a long path towards their target.
  • Pain Resistance and Increased Healing Factor: Gunha doesn't really FEEL much pain from most normal attacks and can shrug off things like, say, gunshots. Having resisted one of Misaka's larger lightning strikes and having caught one of her famous Railguns with his teeth, Gunha doesn't really care about that. He can also forcefully reconnect broken bones and staunch bleeding with, as he puts it, 'guts'. He can still feel pain, though; it's just the smaller stuff that really doesn't faze him.
  • Explosion Creation: In classic tokusatsu hero fashion, Gunha can create explosions of various types for different circumstances. These can be used to make a dramatic entrance or for more practical, combat-oriented purposes.
  • Attack Crash: Gunha takes a deep breath, takes a karate stance, dramatically opens his eyes and yells out the name of his signature move before launching a punch at his intended target. With enough force to damage a target over ten meters away, this attack is able to break through rubble. Gunha claims it to be psychokineis, but the truth is that even the scientists don't understand how it works.
  • Aurora Guard: In a similar fashion to his usual attack, Gunha shouts the words 'AMAZING PUNCH GUARD' and... Well, punches projectiles to the ground. Though it's not a perfect defense, it can deflect projectiles that have no real tangible form, such as electricity or lasers.
  • Enhanced Physical Capabilities: Aside from his super strength, Gunha can also move at superhuman speeds, can jump absurdly high, and... Can shout loud enough to create a shockwave that can break a fall.
    No, that's not a joke.
Alliance: Team Charmeine
Other: Likes quoting 'guts' as the reason behind most of his actions. Don't think too hard about it. Comes from the latest release on Index LNs (which is, as of this post, NT16).

Dammit if I can't play him in that one it'll be this one :U
