With the attention of the combatants fully off of him by now (even with his constant meddling via freezing and unfreezing water under the hostiles), a bitter smile crept its way onto Tiral's lips.

"You know, I should be happier that I'm not even being registered as a threat. Let other people do the work for me and all that. Even so, though... We have little time to waste, so I guess it's about time to speed things up..." he muttered to himself. Having watched the fight unfold in front of him as it did gave the magician some time to analyze the vampire's movements. The axe-wielding enemy, on the other hand... Well, the Captain seemed to be doing well enough.

With one hand retaining the interference setup and the other to his side, Tiral began to chant as unassumingly quietly as possible. Below that second hand, a large spear of ice was gradually forming, taking shape as he slowly aimed at the vampire.

"Steady... Steady... Now!"

With a flick of his hand, the spear shot towards the vampire, covered in a layer of frost. If that blood-reattachment pseudosurgery was something to deal with, then he just needed to freeze the blood in the damn vampire's body over. That was all, right?
"New recipes, huh...?" Mokou mused to herself, nodding her head in understanding. "I can understand that. But you know, it's not as if learning that sort of thing is particularly easy, either. Hope you've got enough ingredients in stock if that's the route you're going to take."

Youmu's confirmation of her status of being implicitly banned from entering her home was a tad bitter, but it just meant that there was one less place that she could check out. Of course, there was the option to have the residents exit instead of her entering, but... Well, that was a rude thing to ask, if her centuries of life had taught her anything.

"In any case... Have you checked out the Kourindou recently? I hear that ever since that incident with the Occult Balls, a lot more stuff from the Outside World has been popping up left and right. Maybe you'll find some books about cooking there. Who knows?"

Of course, her time wandering outside of Gensokyo that time was spent leisurely strolling about, anyhow. Her clothing really didn't fit, but in the end it seemed as if people didn't care as much as she had expected. But honestly, though, that place was seriously strange now...
Tossing my interest in.
Maybe I can play Gunha now. >:D
"Honestly, people today are too carefree. You'd think that whatsherface girl popping into this place every half a day would've caused a few waves already, but it seems like business is still as usual. Though that Kasen person seems to be running herself ragged because of that..."

With her hands in her pockets as she lazily strolled through the Human Village, Mokou glanced around as she watched the villagers mill about, each handling their own business. of course, she couldn't fault them for that; for her, whose life could not end, all their worry about the next day, week, or even month was something she had long forgotten.

Even so, the village was a lot less chaotic than that city that was outside the Border.
That... Was a city... Right?

"Ah, seriously, though... That place was absurd. Interesting, for sure, but seriously..." the immortal continued to muse before accidentally bumping into someone...

Or something.

"Shoot, my bad... Ah?"

Realizing that she had bumped into what seemed to be a floating white semi-transparent white ball, Mokou took the object in her hands and applied a bit of pressure before remembering that little... Test of courage, to put it lightly.

"Oh, it's you. Shopping for your mistress or something? Actually, speaking of which... I'm not allowed there in the first place, now am I? Your home, I mean," she laughed a bit, letting go of the ghostly ball in her hands and turning to its owner: one Youmu Konpaku, carrying a set of groceries for... Reasons.
The boisterous nature of the overly muscle-bound hunter caused a bit of a pained smile to creep its way onto Mamoru's face. While he couldn't deny the skill of the hunter so aggressively calling him over, to call himself Yama was...
Well, a little pretentious, wasn't it? Even so, though, information was information, and playing along meant little mre to him that a simple stroking of the man's ego.

"Yes, yes, coming," he responded, casually taking a seat near the three men as he waited for his own chance to cut in. He knew the dangers in hunting beasts, of course, but a single creature taking out three men already...?

"So... It's 'awakened' in that sense, then? Or was it just a bunch of unlucky travelers? One dead man is usually a fluke, but two or three seems a tad unlikely unless there's some other forces at play here," he reasoned to the hunters, looking over the notice once again. "Regardless, if three people have been killed, then I would expect a larger bounty. Unless... There's a reason that people are keeping quiet about it?"

If that was truly the case, then there was something much more important than just 'bear hunt' going on here...

They also wander in and out of being stupid before just nosediving into wanting Kamachi to just avoid characters entirely, so... there's good and bad things. D:

Eh, I mean... Himegami kinda just existed post-Deep Blood arc. Komoe doesn't do particularly much as a side character, either.
Fukiyose and Aogami still have their place in NT.
Tsuchimikado is still relevant (though he's kinda poofed recently).
Saten was a Railgun-only sorta char to start with, but Uiharu and Kuroko still retain relevance.
Kakine and Fraulein Kreutune are, admittedly, kind of one-offs, but still. They retain relevance as characters in the scene, but they mainly are there to be... There.
Hamazura's a main character unlike what the anime says so :I
...
Though, now that you mention it, Stiyl, Kanzaki, Agnese and her goons, and Misha... Well, they make appearances in NT10, to be fair, so yeah.
I could go on. There are so many characters in the cast that pop in and out, but the primary cast is really Touma/Accelerator/Hamazura/Misaka, with more important secondaries being people like Index, Othinus, Last Order/WORST, ITEM, and so on. Because, let's be real here, there are a LOT of characters.

If we're talking favorite anime...
Well, Raildex tops my charts, but let's see...
Steins;Gate was nice, and you can't mention anime without good ol' Jojo.
And I mean David Productions Jojo. Oh man, gotta love that one.
Spice and Wolf was also pretty nice. Reading through the LNs now.

Oh man, Ranma 1/2. That's an old one. Still remember it lol

If we're talking recent likes... Re:Zero and KonoSuba are great. Like, honestly, they really are.
@AtomicNut: That Maoyuu you're talking about? =3=;;

Also, in regards to the Raildexverse... I've read through all of NT (up to NT16) and am more or less up to date with the Railgun manga. I want Index 3 because it's give us the road to the New Testament arcs, and OH MY GOD ARE THEY AMAZING.
@VitaVitaAR: RAILGUN :U
@ghastlyInc: Not even watch, but READ. Oh, god. The cringe was real. And, again, things like MGE and MGQ are... Well, hentai. And... All the joys that come along with that, I guess.

Thanks, internet.

Though... I still wouldn't say that the anime industry has gone too far down that hole. Just because the classic high school battle harem romance comedy is cheap and easy to pump out to make money doesn't mean it should be seen within a vacuum. There are a lot of gems that exist if you know where to look, but I won't deny that it DOES have a few issues here and there.
@ghastlyInc: Well, yeah, I figured this is all in jest, but I was referring to the whole monster girl discussion that was half blooming in here. Mainly harine's mention of Kenkou Cross. That was what tipped me off.

I'm not going to question matters regarding taste (because goddammit I have to write a goddamn PAPER on why taste in art and media is what it is today), but even so... Yeah.

Eh, iono. To each their own.
