@Cmmelody: First option's probably better, though maybe sapience would be a better bar than sentience.

Do that and I'll be okay.
@Cmmelody: Yeah, if you can limit access to it because of some contrived lore reasons, I'll give him the ok. It's not a full-on "don't use this", but just "find an excuse within reason".
@Cmmelody: Shino looks okay, I'd say (though I think it's "breeding", not "bleeding"... Right?) Only concern might be the flesh-eating bug (not because of it's strength per se but that's part of it), but other than that I'd give him the seal of approval.

Edit: The problem, to be specific, is the question of how often/easily they can be deployed and utilized. Chomping through someone from the inside out is a brutal affair, obviously, but it's a problem if you start using it too liberally (which I assume you wouldn't necessarily be inclined to do for narrative's sake?) but still.
@Rune_Alchemist: Qingque OK.
@Cmmelody: I could've sworn that the gestation cycle was longer for those things, but maybe that's just my memory acting up. Okay, that's one problem solved, then. I wouldn't limit chakra access in that sense, so that problem wouldn't be much of one.

I do still think that you'd be better off using Shippuden or post-Shippuden Shino, though, because that opens up more for me as a GM to allow your character room to grow outside of what might otherwise be considered 'canon' limitations for reason 3 in particular. Both of those also probably match up to what I'm aware the cast is shaping up to be a bit better in comparison, especially if you plan on amping up his utility like it seems you're planning to do. Either way, it'd be easier to give him buffs in whatever category provided he's got more lived experience in so doing.
Early morning talking time.

@Cmmelody: Uh... Funny enough, I think Shino might be too low power. There's a few reasons for this, but here are a few:
  • Chakra, as noted explicitly within the Naruto world, is a byproduct of external factors being inherited by the entire human population (and more). It's not something that you could map onto other similar power systems (e.g.: HxH nen, Dragon Ball ki, any fantasy that uses an internal mana system.) That's only further emphasized when speaking with regard to how specialized Aburame insects are with regard to chakra specifically. Can't do much when a good chunk of your utility is tied to the presence of (or removal of) a resource that others don't have. Even if you do map it into internal magic systems, it's still super limited in scope, and that's if we ignore the oddities inherent in smashing two discrete systems together.
  • It's pre-Shippuden Shino. He's super untested in the field, and from what we get to see of him, uh... There isn't much, even if he's above average in his field of teenagers. Shippuden Shino might be able to stick it out more, but reliance on breeding and raising insects in either case gives him hard finite resources to use, at least until things theoretically stabilize enough to fix that problem.
  • Development time because it's specifically pre-Shippuden Shino being nonexistent coupled with no one else familiar with how the Aburame do things means his ability to get stronger is super stunted, even if we once again disregard the chakra issue mentioned above

Also, and this is a more personal opinion: that form just needs more fleshing out in general. Feels a bit barebones to me, and it doesn't explain enough stuff to people who might not have seen the IP (even if the burden of research would fall to those who have, the better other players can understand what's being provided the better).

@Xaltwind: Existing, no OCs, no customizable characters unless there's a widely agreed-upon default (in which case you use said default).
@TimelessParagon: Yeah, that isn't exactly a setting I'd be comfortable working with/around.
As for the Elden Ring problem: I'd rather not deal with customizable characters without a defined preset in existence, since that leads to WAY too many variables to factor in.

@Raineh Daze: Hibiki OK.
@Cmmelody: I'd say to expect a decent amount of combat, though I'd certainly not complain if characters wanted to pursue more peaceful methods of conflict resolution.

Regarding that LOTM thing, though... Given the way the question was framed, I'm not super confident that'd fit given the characters that might already be in the works.
@TimelessParagon: Kingdom Hearts was mentioned as a point of reference, not necessarily a baseline to which characters should be expected to meet. Personally, though, I'd try to not go too high on the totem pole if possible (or bring characters down a bit to match others, relatively speaking).

I also have no idea what LOTM is, so I'd need more of a primer on that front.
@TruthHurts: Not particularly, but if you have a shortlist of potential characters I could give a quick yay/nay judgement to each.

@Dragon Mahteru: By all means.
