There's some treatments, I wouldn't go so far as to say cures, in development. Really early development, although they did give some doses to aid workers who contracted it and both were released from the hospital a few weeks back. Another guy died after (allegedly?) receiving the same drug. Part of the problem is that Ebola has always been a small scale problem, couple hundred people at a time, there's not much money to be made to recoup the cost of research and testing. There's also some belief that the blood of infected individuals who survived might act as a treatment - but that can be a whole host of other issues when people start buying and selling without proper screening. Quarantine has been the typical manner of stopping outbreaks. African nations' infrastructure sure doesn't help combatting it, but we also don't have many options for treatment. Right now its keep people hydrated long enough for their body to fight off the infection. Or at least, that's what I've gleaned from various bits of internet researching. Take it all with a grain of salt.

O.o haven't seen you around in a while.

My name is Maximus Decimus Meridius, commander of the Armies of the North, General of the Felix Legions, loyal servant to the true emperor, Marcus Aurelius. Father to a murdered son, husband to a murdered wife. And I will have my vengeance, in this life or the next.

If you find yourselves riding in green fields with the sun on your face.... do not be troubled.... For you are in Elysium.... and you're already dead!
<.< What about restaurants?

See, now I'm getting paranoid.

How many people would actually report something like this if they knew that they'd get quarantined, then not be able to work and pay bills and it turned out to be something minor?

Or those who don't like going to the doctors anyways or are too stubborn?

Am I overthinking this? Please tell me I'm just being irrational.

-edit-

I'm going to go research how to make effective bows, arrows, and spears, then retreat into the wilderness and savagely attack anyone who dares to approach me. >.>

Do you really want a heads or tails shot at living?

Yes....

Load the shotgun, and if a stranger approaches you, flip a coin.

IF heads, shoot them. You won't have to worry if they're contagious and might get you infected now. They can't come any closer.

If tails, let them live. You've now effectively reduced chances of catching the sickness.

Hell, just shoot everyone that approaches within ten feet of you. That should keep you safe. Treat 'em all like Zombies.

We do have self defense laws, you know. And this is a matter of life and death.

I totally shot the man cause I thought he might have Ebola and he was threatening my existence.

-edit-

I just thought of something ironic as fuck.

This upper respiratory thing is shooting across the U.S. like wildfire....

People catching Ebola here in the States....

Ebola passes through passing of bodily fluids....

People coughing and sneezing all over the place.....

Yeah, no biggie. We're good.

I'm not one of those people who will go around and slap a "garbage" sticker on every copy of VII I see, but I think it just underwhelmed me, especially since it is the highly lauded commercial and critical darling of the franchise. I didn't care for the characters or the story, and that's what makes an RPG for me. The world was fine, gameplay was good, it featured a nice soundtrack, but I never really found myself having a lot of fun while playing it. VIII and VI always kept me interested, X was just fun, and XIII made me care about the characters and world even if the linearity really bugged others.

Makes sense.

I have kind of an unpopular opinion on this one, but my favorites were VIII, VI, XIII, and X. XII and IX both played fairly well. I really dislike VII and IV but I will never suggest that they shouldn't be played. Avoid all of the sequels.

why the dislike of 7, out of curiosity?

7, 8, and 10 were my personal favorites. Then again, I never really got into final fantasy until 7, so didn't grow up with the older generation.

Seven and Eight had awesome storylines imo, but that's because those were my childhood favorites and I have a soft spot for them because of such.

Also, Tactics was fun as fuck to play, as Walker helped me out with that one. I would never have gotten it if not for his insistence that I get the game, to the point to where he actually forced me to xD Thanks, man.

12 is also pretty good for the prospect of running around and killing enemies to get their loot to sell. It was an awesome concept to me because enemies dropped things like hides, etc, based upon what type of creature they were, and the more powerful the enemy, the more money their things sold for.

Look up youtube videos and you can decide which would look the best to you.

Also, many swear by 9, but it was too colorful for my tastes. It's got an excellent story though, for the most part.

Ultimately? Get them all. They're interesting RPG games, and make for a good collection.
