I guess my comfort zone is "eccentric side character."

<Snipped quote by Gentlemanvaultboy> Is… is that a compliment? That doesn't sound like a compliment. Omg don't tell kat she's ogre-like XD she will not take it well.
Solitary, prickly, prone to threats to get what she wants, large guard animal, and at least one horrific injury that looks like it really should have killed you. That's ogre all over.
<Snipped quote by Gentlemanvaultboy> Omg did he just call kat an ogre. She's so little though XD
She feels ogre, if that makes any sense. She the most ogre out of anything he's seen for a good long while.
I'm guessing there are no lady Ogres where Drubbins is from. :V
I'm not sure how much control I have over this, but I'm thinking that either there are no lady ogres or there's almost no practical difference between ogre sexes. Like, if Drubbins ever had parents he can't remember far enough back to recall them. In his first memories he is alone, taking care of himself. Either they're abandoned almost right after birth or how you get more ogres is weirder than the typical method.
I feel bad for @The Patriarch's character, nobody seems to be too friendly with him so far. ^_^' You know, @Gentlemanvaultboy, I'd love to see what Drubbins thinks of everyone. xD
Done that now. Also, to the charters that have been adventuring or had a friend, family member, or mentor that was big into adventuring and also loved to tell tales: Drubbins might just seem a little familiar to you. If anyone wants to have their character, or have a character from their backstory, be responsible for any of Drubbins scars or that axe embedded in his skull, feel free.
Just asking, what exactly is Aperture?
Judging by a quick skim of the previous thread, some sort of tech company or government lab that was doing nasty shit to supers on the side.
Name: Zachery Talbot Alias(s): The Owlman, John Doe Age: 30 Affiliations: Heroes Factions:Reformist Council Description: Basic description of your character in and out of costume. Feathers cover over 70% of his body, concentrated mostly on the upper body and tapering off around the legs which are mostly normal. Actually has wings which just sort of suck into his back when not in use. Most of the time wears a top hat with his neat little tail suit because he thinks it helps him look more ridiculous than horrifying. Powers: The Owlman has enhanced strength and reaction time, his claws being powerful enough to tear the roof off a car or leave deep gouges in stone. He has the enhanced senses of an owl, with superior sight and hearing to a normal person, in addition to the ability to pinpoint somethings location based solely on sound. He has wings and is capable of flight, but prefers not to use them since he can't wear a shirt with them out and he thinks that makes him look more like a monster. Finally his feathers have a supernatural sound damping quality, which they retain even if they fall from him. He can move in almost total silence. Incidentally, he also has a tougher digestion system and can turn his head completely around, but that's not likely to come up. The Owlman can not communicate normally. Owl physiology has stolen his voice and left him with only hoots and shrieks. Even writing and sign language are denied to him because of his giant talons. The best he can do without a dedicated translator and carve words into the ground or nearest wall. Skills: Hand to hand combat, tracking, wilderness survival. Equipment: None. Ranking: I'm thinking low to mid C but it's really up to you. (Optional) Brief History: Zachery Talbot ran away from society after transforming into a terrifying owl person in the summer of 09. Eight years later a Reformist inspection team, following long reported rumors of a strange creature haunting [Undisclosed] National Park, discovered him deep in the woods living in a crude, hand made shelter. It was shocking experience for all involved, mostly because it involved someone panicking and throwing lightning, but after a short, embarrassing misunderstanding/battle it was determined that the panicked creature that had fled into the depths of the woods was in fact a human being. What followed was a several month long expedition to not only find The Owlman, but to gain his trust and introduce him back into society. It was touch and go at a few places, but after seeing that these people too had strange powers, hearing their rhetoric about normalizing people like him, and being introduced to a very understanding telepath, The Owlman was slowly brought out of the woods. He figures that if someone like him can become a publicly adored superhero it will lead to more acceptance for others whose powers have rendered them into something you wouldn't want to meet in a dark alley. He wants to become the beacon that draws out the "monsters," because if he'd known that there was a community out there for him he might never have run away.
If Drubbins gets a job from this tavern he's going to find a way to stay at this tavern, because whoever is putting missions up on the board is now his boss and mostly the boss expects you to hang around their lair looking intimidating while they don't have you on a errand.
Zachery Talbot
That picture freaked me! Those eyes are creepy!
Good to know it had the desired effect. Like, you just know people who look like that are marginalized even in the greater meta community.

Hey guys, the new OOC will be up either tonight or tomorrow so I advise that anyone who's still making characters to have them completed in the next few days! We're still accepting, by the way!
Where would this new OOC be?
Everyone who has posted up to this point is accepted! Kudos on making wonderful characters that intrigue me ^^
I was worried my character wouldn't work in light of the new backstory. What exactly counts as a remnant?
