I guess my comfort zone is "eccentric side character."

I mean, if you want to pic a real powerful nit I'm not sure school cafeterias are even a thing in Japan.

I will have a club just as soon as those blackguards at polo club acquiesce to my demands.

Linkle walked back out of the guild hall with the rest of the group, passing Agoston on the way, and back into the warm sunlight. She thought it was awfully nice of this Geralt fellow to agree to help Bowser on the quest he'd chosen. Big and bad as Bowser held himself to be he wasn't invincible. It always paid to buddy up on an adventure.

"You think we should go see her to?" She asked 6. "That way we could be on the lookout for anything Bowser needs while were out saving people from wriggling fish monsters."

Before she could get her answer though Din came walking up with a new friend in toe and told them she had performed a dance in the town square. "Aww man, a real performance and I missed it?" Linkle said, disappointment played across her face. She'd never really seen Din's skills for real what with being caught up in the fight. It was a shame, because judging from the way Din's wallet was jangling when she came up it was a real sight to see.

Linkle looked touched, but pensive, at the thought of Din helping her out with the money she'd earned. After all, even if Din had gotten those cool new wings out of the ordeal it was Linkle that had started the whole thing. It was still ride to refuse such an earnest gift though. "Thanks Din! We're about to go out and make some money too. Turns out they pay you for doing heroic deeds around here. We were just getting ready to set out. Geralt here," she said, presenting the white haired man and keenly noting that shy smile she'd given him. "Gallantly offered to help us out a little, since he's a local."

In that case Din's new fortune teller friend was a real boon. Fortune tellers could see the webs of destiny that bound all things, especially the bonds between people, or at least that's what grandma had told her. Getting her fortune told by a real professional might come in handy. Though, of all the fortune tellers she had ever heard of she didn't think any of them were quite as beautiful as this one. She smiled at her. "This is so cool! I've never had anyone tell my fortune before." She, of course, already knew her destiny in the broad, unspecific terms, but it always paid to be pointed in the correct direction.
"Maybe?" he said, giving a shrug and holding it out to her. "These ones are usually chill cause they're so stupid."

The dinosaur, which was a compsognathus and definitely not stupid, watched warily as the girls hand approached. As it began opening its mouth Rex snapped his fingers. It turned to look at Rex, who gave it a look that perfectly communicated his intention to spike it like a football if it even thought about getting a taste. As it was turned she was able to brush her fingers along its neck. It turned back, but all fight had been menaced out it and it allowed itself to be treated like a cat.
"Me?" he asked. "Yeah, okay, let me show ya."

He rolled up his sleeves and rubbed his hands together before concentrating. Slowly, from out of the skin of his forearms as odd, sickly green mist began to rise and coalesce into the shape of a creature. At first it seemed almost bird like. Even when bons began appearing in the fog this impression didn't change, but then muscles were filled in, veines, eyeballs, all filling in the missing parts of the creatures biology. A layer of skin was shrink wrapped to the thing, then dusted with a light coat of small feather like bristles. The thing wasn't even the size of a small cat, but as the mist dissipated its head suddenly snapped around as it surveyed its environment while standing on Rex's arm.

Good. He'd gotten a cute one. Normally he didn't like engaging with his powers unless necessary, but small kids and cute girls were the exception to the rule. The...whatever it was...starred curiously at the girl, then at Cleo, then back to the girl. As it switched between them he smiled and moved his arm up and down. The creatures body moved, but it managed to hold its head perfectly in place like a parrot.

"Boom. It's a dinosaur. I make dinosaurs."
"And here I thought the wild transformation things Cleo was doing was just the acid kicking in." Rex joked.
"Damn right." He replied. "I'm not gonna get stranded out here without at least an excuse the ply the hall cop. You met her yet? She's everywhere."

"The name's Rex." He said to her. "I'm what the school'ed call an at risk youth."
"Hey, that's my reasonable excuse you're walking away with." Rex said, smoldering along behind them.
"Ahhhh, no problem. My last school wishes I never existed." He said, leading the guy through the hallways."

He had to think about the question. "No clue, never counted. Good number though. I think we got every kid in the tri-state area that can shoot fire out if his ass or make her finger nails spin or crap like that."

Rex watched his eyes witch from brown to gold and back and pointed at them. "Yeah, exactly. If you can do about as much as that right there I think they'll take ya."
