It's way too early to be hearing Christmas music in the mall... can we get past Thanksgiving, first?

The six hour flight from Philadelphia to Los Angeles would have gone smoothly for Solana if it weren't for the seemingly large number of wailing babies, foul-smelling passengers, and the consistent shoving of the back of her seat by an insubordinate eight year old boy. She was already in a funk due to the fact that she was being forced to spend her entire Summer at camp, but the tiresome flight had almost tipped her over the edge. It took every ounce of strength in Solana's body to keep her from biting the young boy's head off. In order to stay calm, she put her earbuds in and closed her eyes, trying her hardest to drown out the world around her.

By the time the plane landed, Solana had gone through most of her playlist, and her neck was sore from all of the kicking. She rolled her neck and stretched out her cramped up legs whilst waiting for her two suitcases to roll around at the baggage claim. She was on her way towards the airport exit, headed right towards one of the parking lots, when her phone vibrated in her pocket. Solana stopped near a water fountain and leaned her suitcases against the wall before answering the call.

"No, I didn't make a run for it, yet. No, I still ain't excited to be going to this wack ass camp. No-" Solana was cut off by a booming laugh.

"So I guess your first plane ride didn't go as well as you planned it, huh?" Uncle Zeke said, emitting another brief chuckle.

"I almost had to put the hands on some little kid for kicking my seat," Solana said tiredly, "I couldn't get any sleep. And that airplane food? Garbage. I would kill for a hoagie, right about now." For another five minutes, Solana vented to her Uncle about the airline and her impending departure to Aces High. Their conversation had to be cut short when Sol realized that she was on the verge of missing the bus. "I'll talk to you later, Unc. I gotta go." She ended the call before he got the chance to say goodbye, grabbed hold of her suitcases once more, and quickly walked outside of the airport. She arrived to the Aces High bus right on time to see a young brunette woman board the bus. Solana followed in her footsteps; she hopped up the steps, gave the bus driver her name, and found an empty seat close to the front of the bus. She ended up putting her earbuds back in her ears and closing her eyes, so if someone had decided to take a seat next to her, she was virtually unaware.

A few hours later, Joe announced that they were at the end of the road. Solana waited to be the last to get off, wanting to avoid being pushed and shoved in the large crowd of overly excited teenagers. Pretty soon, the camp director had given her an envelope containing her cabin assignment, and Solana was off to the Queen of Spades cabin. On the way, she nodded in greeting to a few unfamiliar faces. Sure, she was still extremely pissed off that she'd been forced to attend, but she figured she may as well make her time spent here as enjoyable as she could. She wasn't too fond of camp, but she did like meeting new people.

Upon entering the cabin, Solana first noticed a young woman with piercing gray eyes and a camera slung around her neck. Not too far away sat a young, baby-faced male; he'd already began to unpack his belongings. "Wassup roomies?" Solana said, slinging her own bags onto one of the empty bunks, "You two ready for ten whole weeks of Summer camp?"

If you do reboot/revive this, I'd love to join.
Not a selfie, but I was really excited to get my first tattoo done today.
One down, at least a dozen more to go!

Jazmine is "open" to interaction as well... She may not be very warm and friendly, however, so it's up to you all.

Jocelyn sighed in relief, very pleased to hear that Damar wasn't planning on leaving so soon. She was about to agree with Kai about heading to the garden when her cell phone vibrated in her pocket. Right when she finished reading the mass text from Elizabeth, Damar yelled excitedly about watermelon and Ronnie yelled something about getting their "sexy" bodies out to the pool. "I guess I'll go put on a bathing suit, then?" Jocelyn said as she headed in the opposite direction of Damar, back towards her bedroom. Inside of her large duffel bag, she'd packed six different bathing suits, but chose the first one she could get her hands on.

Five minutes later, she was headed back downstairs towards the pool, a large beach towel tucked under one armpit and a bottle of sunscreen under the other. Although she wasn't a big fan of watermelon, nor did she know what the hell "chicken" was, but she was glad that their Summer vacation was back on track. Jocelyn arrived at the pool just in time to see Elizabeth carrying a large box in her hands filled to the brim with floats. "I can help you blow those up, if you want." Jocelyn said as she placed the towel and sunscreen on the nearest lounge chair.

Jazmine raised her brow and frowned when the young girl gripped her wrist. Was her hand...wet? If she hadn't guessed it before, it now became crystal clear: Kassandra was not from around here. Nevertheless, Jaz forced a smile and nodded her head. "Girl, you're supposed to shake my hand," she said, grabbing the girls hand and placing it in her own, "like this." She was about to say more when another redhead woman, the third she'd seen in a matter of minutes, bumped into Kassandra. The collision caused the young redhead to fall to the ground, a patch of ice forming on the ground to break her fall. Jazmine stared blankly at the two young ladies for a brief moment, listening as they both spewed apologies. Next, she picked up her duffel from the ground, muttering a quick "I'll catch you later," to Kassandra before turning on her heels and walking away.

She'd only been at the Academy for a few minutes, but was already beginning to feel rather bored. After her strange interaction with the girl who smelled faintly of seawater, Jazmine had no intention of striking up conversation with another, wanting to avoid any more awkward encounters. Instead, she returned back to her original spot, scooping up Salem in her arms. "So are they just gonna make us wait out here all day?" Jaz wondered aloud, scratching the cat behind his ears, "they need to hurry the hell up, isn't that right Sal?" She probably looked a bit odd, talking to a cat instead of socializing with other students, but she didn't rightfully care. She did not come to the academy to make friends; she came to train, to better herself. Friendship was unnecessary.
