Sevyn rolled her eyes and scoffed as she listened to what her fellow prisoners had to say to the teacher. They all tried so hard, it was ridiculous. Sure, this wasn't a place that any of them wanted to be in, but that didn't mean that they had to be disrespectful to someone who was simply trying to do her job. Like Sevyn's mama always said, "Everyone has to be respectful and be a human being. No one's above." In the brief two months that she'd been in the academy, Ms. V hadn't disrespected her or anyone else, for that matter, so she was alright in Sevyn's book. She decided against opening her mouth, however, having a strong desire to continue her napping. Her ears perked up once more, however, when she overhead Remy and Gray speaking. In a swift moment, Sevyn was up from her seat and taking an open one closer to the two young girls, crossing one leg over the other once she sat.

"I was eavesdropping," she said in a hushed tone as she leaned in closer to the girls, "Sorry, not sorry. I overheard you mention something about a lil' get together in your room?" As Sevyn spoke, she took a quick glance around the room. She wasn't the most sociable person in the world, but she sure as hell knew how to discreetly spread some information around. Her past couple of months at Redwood had been nothing but pure Hell, so the mention of having a little bit of "fun" piqued her interest.

"I have a little something I could bring," she said with a devious smile, "It's not much, obviously, but it's just enough to catch a buzz." She was obviously referring to the two joints she had hidden in a pen in her underwear drawer, and was assuming that the two had understood. "That's only if you're interested."

Valentina is a tall, slender black woman standing at five feet ten inches tall and weighing in at a little over one-hundred forty pounds. Her skin is beautifully brown. Her soft-curled, ear-length hair is dense but yielding, and thick enough to lose your fingers in. Although having a head full of gorgeous hair, Val prefers to wear her hair in protective styles (braids, weaves, wigs), which allow her hair to grow quicker and healthier. There's a certain elegance in the way that Val carries herself: good posture, long confident strides and her head held high. She often looks taller than her height of 5'10, especially since she's always wearing heels when she has the chance.

Her eyes are large and almond shaped, the brown of the irises so dark that they almost appear to be black. Her eyes are fringed with long, thick lashes. All through grade school, Val studied her ass off in order to make it where she is now. She also began learning more advanced material at a young age in an effort to "keep up" with her elder brother. Val is also very creative and craves adventure, thrills, and new things. The pair did practically everything as they grew up; they shared rooms until they were thirteen, had the same group of friends, participated in the same sports or extra-curriculars, liked the same things, etc. It wasn't until the two were fifteen that they started to drift a bit apart; Valentina wanted to model whereas Micheal focused his energy on football. Still to this day, however, they are the best of friends.

The pair grew up in a small apartment building in downtown Detroit. They lived a basically normal life, that is, until her mother finally landed her first professional acting gig, the movie role that would just mark the start of her very successful career. The twins were thirteen years old when their mom got her big break in a Hollywood film. Ever since then, their lives have changed dramatically: money was no longer an issue, people treated the family better, etc. It was also a bit easier for Valentina to break into modelling now that her mother had a bunch of connections.

Sevyn was approximately five minutes early to homeroom, taking a seat in the back of the room so she could get a few more minutes of shut-eye without being disturbed. She was successful in getting a bit more rest, that is, until she began to eavesdrop. She couldn't help but overhear Via and Isaac and their talk about stealing necklaces. She even chuckled a bit at the mention of Payton bending over. Ever since her first day at the Academy, two months prior, Sevyn had heard much in regards to the teacher, but never something to that extent. Taking a quick peek up at the front of the room, Sevyn just didn't understand what was so great about him; sure, he had a decent looking face, but he surely wasn't worth all of the fuss.

When it was time for them all to head to geography, Sevyn was one of the first to stand and leave the classroom. In her mind, the earlier she arrived to class, the more time she had to nap. The young woman glanced down at her feet as she walked the halls, the crimson red heels clicking loudly on the tile floor and her silver anklet gleaming in the artificial lights overhead. Like everyone else, she was forced to wear the ridiculously uncomfortable uniform. However, she decided that she would wear whatever shoes she desired whether it was against the rules or not. Once she arrived to Geography class, Sevyn tuned out whatever it was that the teacher was saying and took a seat near the back once more, placing her head in her hands. This was going to be a long day, indeed.
