Well we'd all have to be from Ravnica, if that's the setting and we're unawakened.
Well if we're going to collaborate anyway there's no point continuing with the "I post then you post" system. It would make way more sense to just openly discuss how the battle will play out, weighing factors together, and then typing a single coherent post together.
Alright, I just didn't want to be forced to play a character from Ravnica out of the whole multiverse.
I think all fights should be done in this manner.

Though, I usually just use google docs.
On that subject: How many people do you think appropriate, Sath?

Is it okay for our characters to come from other planes, so long as they are brand new PWs and still get involved with the Transguild etcetera?
True stuff.

My question on the subject of winners or no winners is this: What about characters who would be affected by the win or loss, one way or the other? It could be important to how the character behaves.
Yeah. All at once would be a lot of posts flying around.

But one at a time would be a lot of waiting on everyone's part.

On the plus sides:

One at a time, as Scar said, means our characters get to watch. And the overseers might see that as important.

All at once: we'll get done and get to move on to other things sooner.

I'm personally of the opinion that all at once is better. Because the main advantage to one at a time is really only an advantage to the characters. Remember that, story aside, this is a game, and the point is to have fun. Waiting around and watching while others play just isn't as enjoyable.
You should just write us all to the training room and put is in pairs already.

I assume there's room for all the pairs to spar at the same time?
I thought Sath reckoned we were all from Ravnica. Personally I prefer the freedom to choose my plane of origin.

Goat: the library is a plot device translated into a game mechanic, which you're trying to translate back into a completely different plot device.
Famo isn't always on. You just need to be patient and wait. And in the meantime, yes, our characters will chitchat inanely.
