"Team Hawk!" Bruce held a hand up for a group high five, but nobody joined in. "Alright. Cora should go with Vulcan too. Clubs are dark, she'll be powerful there. And Monsoon, you should stick with either them or me and Engineer. We don't want to be in three separate groups. Probably stay with Vulcan actually. They'll need the backup, and me and Engineer can move a lot quicker without you. Uh, no offense," he felt oddly bad, but it was true.

"My hope," he turned to Ambrose to explain his plan. He didn't want him to think it was a poor one, "Is that if we mess with the nest, mama bird will come running. And then me and Engineer can head her off. I'm pretty damn sure I can catch up to her before she gets to The Pit, if she's heading that way."
The back hatch opens up and there's a row of seats on either side. The seats can flip forward and there supplies are stored behind. There's about two feet between the rows, which face each other with their backs along the wall. At the end of the little corridor is another hatch which leads into the cockpit. It's obviously meant for function rather than comfort, it holds sixteen people in the back. The seats all have pretty heavy duty straps to keep you safe in the event of evasive maneuvers or a crash or the like.
Bruce thought for a second, "Yeah, you're a big guy. We don't... really have any information. So I think our first move should be getting some of that. Find a bad neighborhood, find a street thug, find out what they know. If she's got gang ties, we can track her through that, right? So... Monsoon, Vulcan and the Pup can take to the streets and start shaking people down. Engineer and I are a bit more conspicuous. We'll stay up on the roofs like Lamorak says. Maybe we'll see Ink while we're fucking around up there."
"When do we start?" One of the Ascendants chimed in.

"Right now, this here is your transport."

The other Ascendant raised his hand, "Are we to assume a masked presence? Any sort of stealth? I mean, if we're expected to have any interaction with the people of South Haven, wouldn't it be easier for them to tell the truth of we didn't sell our selves off as heroes from the Consortium, sir?"

"An Ascendant with a tactical mind? Why didn't I snatch you up? Your mission is to gather information, but also to repel a threat if you judge it to be within your squad's power. Your MO is your own choice, just don't cripple yourselves with your stealth. And I do expect a full report including methods and results."

The last question was from a Monk, who raised her hand and asked how long the mission would be.

"As long as it takes. Why, do you have a date coming up? Your transport is equipped with emergency survival gear and supplies for two months. At the end of that time, should you not have returned, we'll send a second party to investigate and lend assistance if need be."

"Now, you may notice you're one Knight short. We have a pair of boots on the ground in the area already. Aurelia Oldin, Arkos, you might remember her from training. She's fallen below comm range, but we're relatively certain she's still alive and in the area. When you come within twenty miles of South Haven, you are to start hailing for her, pick up on her position, and brief her on the mission. I do hope everyone is understood. Get aboard, and get to it."

Vull walked toward the elevator without another word, leaving the young Heroes alone with their transport.
It was almost sick how sweet Jenna Silvers was. And Will was not alone in loving her for it. "Daywalkers and your sun..." He muttered, jokingly. "We're fairing as well as we can. You know as well as I do that living too long lets one see a great deal more death than one would like. But we're not used to losing one of our own. It's jarring... and frightening. It frightens everyone, though." He looked earnestly into her face, "What could do that? And to her?"
Gisk said If your character's like that... well he's an asshole, but what the fuck ever, but you don't need to do it here in OOC as well.

Have to quote myself because you don't read.
I'm not talking about your character. He can say whatever he wants, all he's doing is making all the other characters hate him.

I'm talking about you. Here. In the OOC. Disrespecting other characters and their actions, disregarding powers and their stated weaknesses, and just being an asshole about everything.

I did go to Fam first, but your behavior hasn't changed so I'm going to be blunt to you.
Can you not see that everyone has the same opinion about you, your character, and his actions? It's not fun, you're not fun to play with. You just make everyone around you irritated and angry. And then you try to defend your actions as if it's part of the game. It's not, being an disrespectful to your fellow players is a huge no-no and I don't know why somebody has to tell you this as if you're a fucking child.
Actually, bullets don't explode at high temperatures. I know, counter intuitive. Mythbusters tested it.

Hey, on that note: Are our characters equipped with guns when in the field?
"Yeah," Bruce said, staring Jack down, "Ambrose ordered me group two's leader. And I say," he clicked his finger and gave Cora a finger gun, "Totally do that. Actually, I wish I was in civvies. Hey, Press, can you get like a GPS display thing on your suit? It'd be really helpful, especially if Horus is feeding you stuff. What can the rest of you do to help?"

yeah, if he can create burning oil, why wouldn't he be able to create fire as well, it would make sense

That actually doesn't necessarily follow, logically. I was under the impression that his power was the secretion of a flammable oil. While I can see your brilliant association of "oil" and "fire" they aren't actually the same thing, so you're giving your character two powers.

I hope this applies to other people as well because Linn controlling ice can become extremely powerful, seriously just research iceman from the x-men and you'll see what I'm saying, the same can go for Nathan as well, a lot of our characters have the potential to be incredible strong.

Dude.... pot calling kettle black. You are, far and away, the absolute worst offender for an OP character in this RP. One of the worst I've ever seen. Your character's power isn't necessarily OP in and of itself, it's just that every time anyone says anything about how they might fight your character you seem to think that you always have a solution, even if you have to make up new powers or remove weaknesses. You can't just say "Yeah, I guess your character could get one over on mine, let's hope they never fight!" You always have to be "Um, no, actually, Jack's power makes him better because of X." You're refusing to accept that Jack's power doesn't win every time.
Not once has anyone said something about a hypothetical fight, and you just left it or conceded that your character would come off worse. Every time you had to argue about how Jake would win.
If your character's like that... well he's an asshole, but what the fuck ever, but you don't need to do it here in OOC as well.
Oh... I actually thought it was intentional.
