Alex - Roll of 9 +1 Hard +1 Melee = 11. Failure. No, wait, the other one. Success!

The crowbar came down and smashed the creature's head with a satisfying sound.

Charlotte swallowed hard, and also finally lowered her weapon. "Yeah," she said sheepishly. "Thanks. Battle cry, y'know." She stepped back down to the ground level as Bow Guy made his way down the stairs toward her. They stood on the ground floor together now, and Charlotte wasn't completely sure what to do. She stood for a moment, bat swinging lamely at her side. Finally she spoke.
"Name's Charlotte. Great to finally meet you. It was you, right? Who was watching out for me on the highway?"
Yeah, sorry about it.

Now, I move(finally) tomorrow. Internet guys are supposed to come on the same day, so if all goes as planned I should return to normal posting habits Wednesday. That said, do be prepared for the event that I don't, and just be patient if I'm a bit longer.
Alex - Roll of 6 +1 Hard +1 Melee = 8. Partial Success!

Alex's foot came free as he yanked, putting him off balance so that his crowbar came down on the pavement instead.
Charlotte let the body drop to the ground, pulling her spiked bat free. She heard creaking from up above, and held her bat at the ready as she crept to the stairs. She started up, taking them slowly, but knowing that her footsteps were creaking just as badly as whatever was approaching her. The sounds got louder, and closer, until she was at a turn in the stairwell, and she jumped around the corner with a battle cry, her bat over her shoulder. Her cry died in her throat as she saw, finally, Bow Guy. Crossbow Guy, actually, aforementioned weapon aimed handily at her as she stood on the stairs below him.

"Uh," she said lamely, bat still held unconsciously over her shoulder in a swinging position, "Hi."

Uh, me. Sorry for absence, I'm preparing for a move.
Yeah, Scar that's probably be good. Or maybe just roll the characters sharp?

User: yeah, sure you can submit a character
Yeah, but I didn't say it last night.

I just put on spooky make up and answered the door between watching horror movies and drinking. Good night.

So, the loot system is changed mostly for simplification(but also to provide more loot) and we'll see how it works out. The combat I think is working great. Because so far nobody has died, but it's still possible. That's what I wanted. I didn't want people dying left and right, just for success to not be guaranteed.

I am currently trying to push everyone together, too.
Happy Halloween.
"Wait," she grabbed his arm and held him back for a second, "Down this main street," she pointed the direction toward the highway, "There's a side street that ends in a cul-de-sac. Me and another guy have set up camp, at least temporarily. It's safer that direction, just be cautious and don't look like a threat. Maybe I'll see you later," she turned and went the other way down the alley, to continue working her way behind the buildings, as he went out to the street.

She went around the back until she found the short apartment building that looked like the right one. It was close to the truck, and had the fire escape that he had climbed up, anyway.
Charlotte found the back door locked, but the little viewing window had been smashed in, and she was able to open it through the hole. She was immediately confronted with a walker, and she raised her bat and swung.

The bullet passed cleanly through the first walker's skull, and it immediately collapsed to the ground. Each shot was accurate and swift, and in a matter of seconds there was a pile of true dead on the ground.

Alex - Roll of 10 +1 Hard +1 Melee = 12. Success!
The crowbar made a dull thud as it squashed the walker's head, clearing the path for Alex.

Jagred
Inside the bag, Jagred would find a box of granola bars, a can of dog food, and 7 loose rifle bullets.

Man, silencers don't actually make guns quiet. Because guns are like the loudest things most humans will ever be around. Especially rifles. A rifle suppressor mostly just hides muzzle flash to make it more difficult to spot.
