Well it wouldn't be sudden, but is "apprentice gets into evil holocron and is tempted over time" kosher?
Well shoot, if we go the route we were talking I could be a Jedi with two apprentices.
Or, maybe, Caliban is my apprentice, but they leave and join the Sith and Corrupted later replaces them.
I think my character will be a Jedi after all. Is the order already rebuilt, or is it up to us to do so?

We could do what we were saying, and your character could be torn in the direction of the Sith. It would be a really interesting personal arch between the two.
I was thinking this, for my Jedi character, if the GM allows: part of his mission involves hunting down holocrons(very few remain, I imagine) and the only one he ever finds is a Sith one. He keeps it locked away, knowing that it can be poisonous to young Jedi. He personally is very tempted to unlock it, because it's the best source of Force knowledge that he's ever found. But he never does. But maybe his apprentice does instead, at some point during the story.

Well if that's what you wanna do, Caliban, I could go back to my original idea and my character could be a slightly older Jedi who is trying his hardest to consolidate and pass on Jedi teachings.
I was gonna have him be fourteen or so when the cataclysm happened, so he'd be 22 now. Still young, but among the older remaining Jedi.

I'm actually going to dip out before this starts. I just only have enough time for so many RPs and I found a different one I'd like to devote time to.
Maybe I'll shift a bit. Maybe my characters goal is to rebuild his family's shipwright business.
It'd be cool because he'd be after ship skematics and parts etc. which would give him an interesting relationship with pretty much anyone he met.

General plot: probably padawans are the only Jedi remainin because they were evacuated before the last battle, while older Knights and masters stayed to fight.
Character: I had in mind that my character was related to the owner of a Corellian shipyard, And after the great cataclysm he tries to go home, only to find it also destroyed. So he goes to one of their satellite yards to try to claim his inheritance. He republic remnants have commandeered all of the best ships, but he manage to get one.

I was thinking of a Padawan who is now trying to rebuild a new Jedi order. And you know what would be awesome? If someone else had the exact same character except they had a difference in ideology.
