Does anyone think it might be a good idea o just start a new thread entirely? We can work with our characters preestablished knowledge of each other, but it would help cut confusion, and save work for new players.

Fair enough, no big deal really. Was just pointing something out.

So I was thinking of making a pair of criminal siblings. A drug dealer and a freelance mercenary. But I'm not sure if there'd be much story usefulness to them.

Do you guys have long reaching plans for your characters and organizations?

Well I see that you're doing it that way, but if I turn to my bookshelf and open a book I won't see that. You said that's how you see it in books, I was just wondering what books you might mean. I usually see it like this

"Hey, Bob," Phil called out, "C'mere."
"Watchu want?" Bob replied.
"Just c'mere"
"Tell me what you want."
"Just get your ass over here!"

Like in your example, extended back and forths don't usually require you to reiterate who is speaking. Though inflection and character actions will sometimes be mentioned. This is how I've always written and seen dialogue written, and it's how I was taught was proper in school.

Oh, and just for readability:

You guys should really start a new paragraph at the beginning of each speaker's dialogue, and try to be clearer about who is saying what. Some of your posts are a bit difficult to read.

So what are people's plans, anyway? I know that David is going to continue seeking apprentices, and it's very likely that he will confront Karza on every opportunity he gets.

I think right now David's existence as the last Jedi is unknown by everyone except, now, Karza. Does anyone want him to do anything in particular, or for his existence to be revealed? Because one possible plan for that is this:

He's injured in his fight with Karza, and he flees and is forced to seek medical attention from a larger organization. They see his wounds and deduce that a lightsaber made them.
