Markus picked himself off the roof and looked down at himself. The new clothes definitely agreed with him, though that was hardly a surprise. In some way he didn't understand, he seemed to have chosen them. He could feel his power, too. A lightness he could extend inside his body. He reached out to the roof's guard wall and put his hand on it. When he extended the magical feeling, his hand passed through. He drew his hand back and looked at both it and the wall in wonder. He took hold of his soul gem and clutched it in his hand as he approached Qubus again.

"I have to admit, I didn't really believe you until just now. So how do I summon my, uh, my weapon? And... what now?"
Thanks very much, I forgot to add another question: when ethereal, he floats, but can he fly at will, or is he at the mercy of inertia? Or, does inertia effect him at all, being a physical effect?

EDIT: Oh, and can he choose only parts of himself to be ethereal, or is it always all of him?
I bet Felice can tell when Markus is tangible or not. Probably they'll never fight, but that gives her a brilliant edge on him.

But let me get this straight about Markus' power: If, say, a warlock launched a rock at him, he could phase through it no problem, of course. But, if they zapped him with lightning, he'd be well screwed either way? Or does lightning or fire for instance count as physical because they are natural phenomenon? I guess my question is where the line is drawn, since a warlock could imitate natural, physical effects using magic.

Also, if it's okay, I'd like to change Markus' color to yellow, just so it's more dissimilar to Ancia's.

Also also, his mask looks more like this than a traditional sport fencing mask.
I was going to wait for Ariamis to post again before I do. I just don't have anything for Markus to do in light of all of the other questions already asked.
Should we wait for Felice's questions to be answered? I feel like that post sort of covers a lot of what our characters might want to say.
Some interest. I agree, it's be cool to focus on cultures not seen in he movies.
Markus is unsure what her allegiance is, and is wary of her until he gets answers. Hence the questions.

I'm excited for this rp, and glad it's moving at a nice pace.
As the newcomer accosted this Julia, Markus backed toward the door that led back inside. Apparently this girl wasn't necessarily on the same side. The mystery girl that Qubus rode on didn't know her, and if Qubus' companion didn't know her, probably Qubus didn't either. Markus didn't know what that meant, and so was moving to where he could make a retreat if he needed to. It was something he was good at, being a fencer. He knew where to stand if he needed to retreat, and he knew when that actually was.

But it didn't come to that, Julia fled, and now they were on the roof with Qubus. Markus could only hope that he had chosen the right side, now that he was unsure how many sides there even were.

"Perfectly understandable, " Markus spoke up, taking a diplomatic lead with Qubus. He offered a hand to Dora, "Markus Goethe... Student. Was that other girl... an enemy? Or just unknown?"
Yeah, I'm sorry this didn't work out. Not sure what happened, but in general the time between Halloween and New Years is pretty bad for all RPs, new ones in particular.

I'm still around, though. If you want to try to get all the people back, or reboot, just hit me up.
Dana sat through the spectacle with his eyes wide open and his jaw tightly clenched. A bottle of non-specific booze was passed around like a plague, and when it reached him he eyed it apprehensively, and took it gingerly, as if it might bite. He put it under the bench, behind his feet, and looked between James and his brother. Che seemed like a good guy, and Dana thought he might even need his... counseling at some point. But James, and this "Princess" he would keep a clear distance from if he could help it. They were exactly the sort of people he was trying to get away from in coming here. Dana made a mental note to ask Che to keep his brother away. Che would understand, he was sure, but maybe he wouldn't be able to accommodate, the other man seemed uncontrollable.

"So," Dana cut in, trying to bring conversation back to schooling, "What's the room situation going to be like?"
