Well, houses do run in families, but I always believed it was more a matter of nurture than nature. Members of the same families just tend to have the same values and personality traits. The New From JK Rowling bit on the hat in Pottermore states that it selects students through its own judgement, and using its skills in Legilimency. There's no mention of it being capable of tracing Genealogy. I don't think Slytherin is right anyway.

So she's a bit older, but unlike Jax she isn't able to skip the year she missed? I never mentioned, should have but forgot, the school gives a test similar to the end of year exam to determine if students are ready for the next year in the event they miss one. Jax passed the second year exam, and moved into third. I guess Moirah failed hers and is still in first? Was she given her mother's last name instead of her father's? Is she related to any pureblood families we should know? For instance, Me and Apoalo decided that Jax and Dana's mother was a Selwyn, and Aeden is their cousin. So... house... This is a hard one. Hard work and perserverance are super Hufflepuff, but her flaky nature is also its antithesis. The Sorting hat reads her mind, not her history, so it's possible that it'll put her in Slytherin as a pureblood, but she doesn't really have any traits for it. I think her strongest association might be Gryffindor. For her passionate determination, and willingness to jump into action. I'm actually going to openly ask for outside opinions on this, because it's tricky. I wanna give her Cherry with Unicorn hair.

I don't like the style, sorry. What bothers me is this: the face looks like a blank, flat surface with features individualy drawn on. Rather than having shape and bone structure. I think you ought to skip the picture, to be honest. Especially since I haven't even seen a character yet.

So we're sitting at five submitted CSes. There's at least one other person that I'm pretty sure is going to post a CS, and a few others who have expressed interest. I'll wait until Saturday, then I'll send out your acceptance letters, and post both the OOC and the IC thread. When the IC starts, I'm going to skip right on past the train bit, and we'll start immediately after the sorting. So, if any of you want to say that your characters met each other(or my characters) on the train, or say that they knew each other from outside of school, you ought to hash it out before the RP starts.

I wanna keep houses even, but even more I don't want to missort someone. I love the new name, Ink. But to be honest, I always thought your character in Ignition was a gryffindor.

I'm not sure how I feel about him sharing Dumbledore's first name, actually. Would you mind terribly changing it to something else? He will be Hufflepuff(that was a hard decision to come by, let me tell you) and his wand, after almost two hours at the wandmaker's shop, is a Hawthorn wand with Dragon Heartstring.

Oh okay. Look, SixesandSevens, I dunno if you wanna put too much effort into something just for me to say I don't like the picture, you know? Start with a description or physical stats like I did so you can have a CS completed at least. If you wanna add a picture as a supplement to that, I won't mind.
