Some characters may not very tech savvy(or corporal), so translators would be maybe. Also I'm working along the lines of "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic."

It also wouldn't effect accents.

But if someone wants to be unintelligible they could always have their language be so weird it can't be translated. Or has not be found/discovered yet.

Also If i do translate it to English, it will be the worst version of English..

Canadian English...DUN DUNDUNNN!

Anyway, all things to discuss if I ever make that forum for canon multiverse lore. To entwine and keep track of story arcs. Which I will do when I think there is enough interest in such things. So far I think Skalla would be tad interested. No idea on Rilla. :K

Oh, also, one of the canon lore will be the Anger-Rylla having created a multiverse wide translation system to ease the assimilation of new conquered territory. Hence we will understand each other.

WITH SCIENCE!
Are you volunteering?

Only if you believe in me.

I'm not sure how we would ever fight if we're separated by intangible space we can't traverse and sitting around on our own private Arenas.

??

We were all in the center of the arena/center blob last I checked. Maybe misread.

The buzzing of insects and the crying of birds were soon joined by another sound. That of heavy foot falls of something large...and heavy. Kragimaeus’s head twitched toward the direction of the sound before it remained stock still; ears flicking. The long white fur that sprung from it’s pale dark blue hide shuddered periodically, while the lean toned muscles of it’s legs and arms flexed instinctively. Kragimaeus breathed in long and slowly, it’s large chest expanding gradually before it released the air; preparing itself. Soon the crashing sound of wood hitting water could be heard before the figure responsible stumbled into view. A hulking figure even broader and heavier than draegloth, standing a good dozen heads taller than the reeds and pale green grass that made up a great deal of the foliage of the place.

The figure stood stalk still after a moment, as if preparing itself. The way it fixated in his direction alerted Kragimaeus to the possibility that it had spotted him. But how so? It knew enough of its surroundings to know such a thing should have been quite difficult. This hunter had come prepared indeed possessing no doubt some magic or means of seeing him even in this fog heavy wet marshland. If such was the case then Kragimaeus’s preferred means of stalking his prey was no longer viable.

Looking down at this would be hunter Kragimaeus reared back on his legs and lower arms then spread it;s larger upper arms. Suddenly he unleashed a mighty roar that echoed through the dense swamp and sent dozens of birds into panicked flight; a challenge. Wicked teeth bared, drool falling from his open maw, Kragimaeus snarled as he narrowed his gleaming red eyes at the one who would dare encroach on his territory. With a powerful lung he exploded from the tree branch, which shook form the force causing countless leaves to fall free. He landed hard on the wet ground several feet below - just 15 feet away from the large man as Kragimaeus rounded a nearby tree. Running on four legs, his upper arms flexing as static run down their length. The hairs on his body standing up.

He leapt in one great bound moving sharply to his left, through reeds and past a large rock, then bounded right again, over a small stream of water that bled away from the running creek behind his opponent as he made a beeline to his prey. He covered the distance in the span of little over a second to within just seven feet to the left side of the large hunter. Putting him roughly at the man's 11’ o clock. Feet slightly apart while in a low crouch and placing his weight on his right leg, Kragimaeus sent its left upper arm in a deadly four fingered claw swipe aiming for Hephaestus’s chest and left arm. Static flying across the outstretched arm.

Unless the man reacted quickly, he’d suffer a grievous wound as Kragimaeus’s 50 cm claws tore into his flesh, likely cutting into his collarbone a few ribs and the flesh of his left arm. Perhaps even nicking a lung if he was lucky. It would all depend on the strength of the mans body armor. Dodging backwards would be risky for this hunter, given his proximity to the running river there. It would be interesting to see how this new hunter reacted.

I thought we were going to start where we were then move to different battlegrounds later on.
Someone should make a comprehensive guide for new players to the Arena for this site. Allot of people have been asking after all.
Ultimately, if this post is to be believed (it feels pretty legit to me) every site has done the same thing as us in regards to manipulating the original rules to suit their player base better. Hence my point. MelonHead out, I'd hate for you to stereotype me based off my country of origin any further rather than read anything I say.

Hey, you're reading the same thing I am!

Taking time to play my character is at least something I and most here always try to do. :K

Here is where you state that the 'most popular form of magic settings' whatever that means, requires long arcane incantations. You then suggest it translates to non magic, suggesting that you believe all abilities should work under the same system, which might as well mean you're saying all abilities are magic, in this argument.

Also, from a cursory glance at the -original T1 Eden Era ruleset- no mention of higher level magic at all, so argument still stands, as you insist on having a formal argument apparently, rather than a chat. Jeez.

Also, something I missed the first time, did you know T1 also insists you should write in present tense? That's depressing, it also feels illogical to me as you're reporting attempts, rather than saying it as it is, but hey ho writing fo-sho

Wait, you don't watch game of thrones?

Also, to many periods!

Zero Punctuation is fantastic.

Lets make a vote to make Melonhead our official Zero Punctuation!

Melonhead no periods in your rants.

The way you describe it, preps are an uninventive stalling mechanic that has no other use. Mind correcting me if i am wrong?

Would you want people to instantly teleport, change the gravity field, create a small sun, create an instant Aoe ice/fire/air attack, gain a powerful buff, etc

without them taking the time/preps to do so?
