If you had lost to a character two to three tiers lower than your own you'd have never heard the end of it, even if it hadn't been one of my first fights when I was still a beginner.

Though I still haven't beaten you since, you tend to run away or leave in OOC before I can kill you, we'll see if I can change that in one of the two ranked fights.

Well he was probably only a tier below him. He had average speed, strength, but above average durability for his tier.

As I should've said, I know this only from old guild so it might've changed. The scenes I was reading, everyone was in battle or another in the ic at the times I was looking. >_>

...*recalls seeing the username in the last tourney before Guildfall* I might've not been involved with the arena much but I did keep my eye out on the tourney and matches that caught my eye. If I recall right, You, Melon and Lyzan made it into the finals. Lyzan-final fantasy based, with earth and wind magics. Beserker as well. Melon-normal guy with a stone hand, and You- had the skeleton character that rearrange his bones. I believe Melon won that match, though not sure. After Lyzan's PC died by being cut in half, his beserker mode ended, I didn't read the thread.

Then again it has been a while.

The fact anyone thinks melon won that is insulting. :K

@MelonheadYeah, I doubt Guildfall helped at all. I manage to get in contact with Lyzan at least once but end up losing him when RL hastily devoured him. So I sort of lost my mentor for a while. Been learning a bit from another fighter, Tearstone, experienced fighter as well, who's happy to see how much the arena has changed. Not sure if he will show up to register or not though.

I might check out the multiverse though I'm a little hesitate because it seems like continual fighting with all the character development done during that. Not something I'm too fond of because I need interaction, outside physical, conflict for character development. Else I have a limited range of emotions based on the PC as well as reactions. That and I would become drained after a while. >,< So I need to mull it over some.

I'm going to hold off on ranked battle for a bit until I've gotten some experience and relearned the basics. I'll, likely for my first match, will find another newbie and ask a vet to oversee the fight. This would allow him or her so point out suggestions, realistic possibilities, hold explain the physics and more. A decent way to learn to me.

@RillaIndeed but I'm just as lazy with things..XD
Also, take your time Rilla's as I'm in no hurry. RL>RP always.

The multiverse is the exact opposite of what you describe it as. Without it, the only character development would be through fighting. Also I'm a newbie. :P

Just ask RIlla.
What the hell. You can write any "prologue" you want. The only stipulation for an invite is because you have proven yourself in combat in some way that makes you stand apart from all the other two-bit sword swinging undead slaying dragon eating hero. You are unique if you cant build yourself a unique and interesting backstory "shrug". Wishes, sure what the hell if it helps your backstory have a wish as a prize to.

So we can steal invites. :K

Also I was more talking about Motivation rather than a prologue.

@Skallagrim

if i may pester you some more

You should just Pm the character to him and see if he shoots it down immediately.

Also wishes are better because that can be immaterial things which are good for heroes and selfless characters, like Sigurd trying to get rid of all the dragons eating everyone.

Holy Grail War ftw.

My original idea was an organization forcing my character into participating (basically taking him out of early retirement) by taking their younger sister as collateral. Of course it's invite only so anything along those lines wouldn't work. I suppose you'd have to really go out of the box.

I might have said risking your life for a doll or flying skateboard a bit much, but in this dying has no down fall.(Skall puts some DBZ in whenever he can XD)

The key to that world eater nightmare thing though has more interesting plot value in the long run though.
With the mention of sub-species are we trying to stick as close as we can to Human Kind? I had an idea of a Parasitic race that using a base race as it's "Outter Body".

Don't steal my idea.

If I remember correctly a big celestial door appeared in front of my character and Skallagrim appeared announcing I could enter the NoW and receive mad loot.

Well I was more thinking about all the stuff leading up to that. Something to add more meat to a plot. For example in something like Future Diary where you have everyone wanting to win for different reasons despite vying for the same prize.

It's a little hard in this case since it's not a wish or something, but that's why I'm stumped.
So, how do people tend to have their characters get invited? I was more planning for WOTW so I don't really have many interesting idea's for NoW style tournament. Maybe someone will give me idea's.
