@Grey: I'll talk to Rin about it tomorrow, she's sleeping at the moment.

Alrighty, I'll get to work on a rough draft for a CS while I wait on a confirmation or lack thereof.

@Grey: Really, anything that shows exactly what you want works.

Okee dokee, let's get this sufficiently explained.

Spatial Distortion can do only two things:
  • Temporarily alter the distance between points, and
  • Temporarily alter the angles between points

  • With that in mind, a practitioner can still use the ability for a fairly wide array of techniques including but not limited to:
  • Pull off roof-to-roof jumps without taking punishing hits to momentum/speed by altering the distance between the jumper and the desired landing zone
  • Temporarily extend the length of the roof you just landed on to shave off momentum so you don't end up falling on your face or off the building when you try to stop
  • Land on the ground without going splat after falling off the aforementioned building by shortening the distance of your fall.
  • Reach hiding spots most opponents wouldn't even care to check or retreat effectively by shortening the distance between, say, that rooftop from earlier and the user.
  • Dodge projectiles by altering your angle in relation to the source... or the projectile itself, if you're really good.
  • Absolutely screw with someone by changing their angles and distances of nearby landmarks. Constantly. And you probably have to be really good at it, better than the previously mentioned mid-flight projectile alteration, that's for sure.

  • Did that work for you or help at all?
In this section (Free), he means.

Unless he means something else, but the one I said previously is the most likely case.

EDIT: Ninja'd by the man himself.
'Course I can do that. Any types of examples you want or concept you can't wrap your head around specifically? If not, I'll be back with general effects I'd probably be pulling off frequently.
Aaaand I'll work on Leo's later today.

Right, but then this would turn into another rebellion/evil-government-is-evil RP. Which is fine but it's just like... No.If we had factions that were neutral/independent or multiple factions with their own ideals etc., I could see that being way more enjoyable than just two sides.

Seconded. The Neutral-Neutral Morality of the FO universe is what holds the appeal. That, and the retro-futurism.

i fuckin hate the NCR, so if you guys are gonna help them, Imma just travel alone.

Yes Man Ending = Best ending.

Also note that he's EX-NCR ("because the dam conflict is stupid/they don't get shit done")

The Legion might be horrible, but at least they're actually effective in keeping peace >.>

    House is... House.
VitaVitaAR said @Grey: What do you mean, exactly? Could you clarify?

The ability or the overall character concept? I assume the former, so...

Magic Name: Spatial Distortion (tentative name, might change it to seem more 'magical')
Magic Description: Spatial Distortion is a form of magic that does exactly what it sounds like it does: distort the space around a given area. Not the manipulation of space and its properties as one would expect, but rather, the alteration of a target's position in relation to others. In a nutshell, it can adjust Point A in relation to Point B, but not rip open holes in space-time, travel between dimensions, or anything absurd as that. At most, it would probably only be able to pull off a psuedo-telefrag or, and I may be wrong about the physics of this, crush a point through a series of alterations.

Me, Somewhere Up Farther in the Thread said Spatial Distortion can do only two things:

  • I would've preferred NCR Ranger Combat Armor (or some NCR Ranger clothes) for my ex-Ranger Ghoul, but I can deal with Pre-War schtuff.

Hey, do you guys want to start out pre armored and stuff or do you just want to find it as you go? Granted, you wouldn't have a whole lot of armor to start with....

Pre-armored, but only if it makes sense. A random villager wouldn't likely have combat armor, but if you were a merc or something logical like a soldier, it would be more suitable.
