Makiricho Chiyohime is a name that makes people say "really?" after they hear it. Frankly, anyone would be and should be rightfully embarrassed saying it aloud. It's the type of name only a preteen trying to sound cool would use--one about as unrealistic as it is unnecessarily overdramatic.
But this is fine.
After all, "Makiricho Chiyohime" is a fake name thought up by a preteen. Chiyohime's true identity is Vanya Kirillovna, a Russian noble who fled the motherland with her family to escape the growing threat of bolshevik rebellion.
In the far north, Chiyohime grew up in the lap of luxury with four siblings and a very large, very present extended family. Her upbringing surrounded her with the best education, the best fashions, and, most importantly, the best food you could get in early 20th century Imperial Russia.
However, this would not last. While the Taisho era began picking up steam in the east, the Bolshevik Party was picking up steam in the west. Fearful for their safety in the face of armed revolution, Chiyohime's family fled to the east incognito. Ironically, it was their attempt to flee death at the hands of humans that led to their deaths at the hands of demons. Not even three weeks after landing in Hokkaido, they were all captured, kill and subsequently consumed by a self-styled "demonic gourmet".
Except for Chiyohime, of course.
Despite such a short time frame, her "divine tongue", her critical nature, and her knowledge of Western-style dishes made waves among the more culinary-minded in the area. Destroying and reforging the hopes and dreams of provincial cooks would often take her late into the night; by her own insistence, she had to personally tasting and critiquing every dish her "students" made. Despite being exhausting and disgusting, this would save her by keeping her out of the house during the incident.
Shortly after a demon hunter was dispatched, Chiyohime was "taken in" by the Demon Hunting Corps after she kept insisting to the representative that they "owed" her. So they gave her a job as a servant of The Butterfly Estate. It was a good fit, until she overhauled their kitchen set up and made the other girls cry whenever they tried to make anything without her supervision.
That's why they started to train her to be a demon slayer instead.

sense enhanced sense of taste
breath style breath of the insect
nichirin blade cyan
Enhanced Sense of Taste
Chiyohime has always had an acute sense of taste, much to the chagrin of anyone trying to feed her. As far as abilities go, it's better suited to a world-class chef or food critic than a demon hunter. But in Chiyohime's possession, it has found its place in both fields equally.
In the presence of demons, her mouth fills with a taste akin to, but fundamentally different from, human blood due to the particles in the air. When a demon is about to act, this taste becomes stronger due to residue from various biological processes.
In the presence of food and other substances, her gustatory analytical capability is at the point where she can provide an exact recipe simply by taking a bite. For the most part, she uses this facet in investigative, culinary and alchemical functions, notably in creating poisons and "edible" food. Much like other examples of heightened senses, she can also taste abstractions; although she still scoffs at the idea of tasting something like love in a dish regardless.
Breath Style: Breath of Insect
The Breath of Insect is branched out from the Breath of Flower, which itself is branched out of the Breath of Water. Using this unique breath, the user coats their weapon with poison made from wisteria flower. Although all poisons use a wisteria extract, not all demons are susceptible to the same poison. The sheath of the nichirin blade is used to configure mixtures.
Dance of the Butterfly: Frolic
Dance of the Dragonfly: Compound Eyes Hexagon
Dance of the Centipede: Hundred Leg Bellows
Dance of the Bee Sting: Mere Fluttering
Developed Poison Immunity
Well, what did you expect from a poison user with a habit of tasting things?

sense enhanced sense of smell
breath style breath of the beast
nichirin blade orange and orange
Enhanced Sense of Smell
Yoshitora has been endowed with exceptional olfactory capabilities since birth. Unlike other hunters, his sense of smell is optimized towards detection rather than combat. He can ascertain movements after they have happened by means of trajectory calculation via change in position, but cannot preempt them by smelling the line of interval. In exchange, he can easily determine the positions of demons, humans and so on at long ranges. A tracker's nose, in essence.
Yoshitora claims he keeps his eyes closed to increase the strength of his other senses, but like much of what he says, this is probably meaningless bullshit.
Breath Style: Breath of the Beast
A unique breath developed by modifying an existing Breath with personal observations on how animals exhibit the flow of battle. It requires two swords to use effectively. Notably, it utilizes low stances that are difficult to defend against.
First Fang: Pierce and Extract
Second Fang: Rip and Tear
Third Fang: Rip and Devour
Fourth Fang: Mince to Bits
Fifth Fang: Mad Cleave
Sixth Fang: Jagged Gnaw
Seventh Fang: Spatial Awareness
Eighth Fang: Throwing Slices
Ninth Fang: Godly Undulating Slice
Tenth Fang: Circular Fangs
